WELLBEING CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK!!!
By eating a variety of plant-based foods you will be more likely to get more of the nutrition your body needs and different sources of fibre, which will help to keep your gut microbiome healthy - this can have a range of benefits to your physical and mental health.
Therefore, this week’s wellbeing challenge is to try and add a new fruit or vegetable into your week or even better try and eat a rainbow at least one day of the week (or more i...f you like!).
This means eating fruits and vegetables that include red, orange, yellow, green, purple/blue and white/beige.

I can’t believe it’s the last week of the current wellbeing programmes already, we have had 12 weeks of fun and I am really proud of everyone involved!
This week all the children created some delicious rainbow kebabs using five fruits each of different colours. This was to help remind us that when we choose our ‘5 a day’ we need to make sure we are getting a variety of fruits and vegetables as they all help our bodies in different ways.
Many of the children tried fruits they... thought they didn’t like and most of them realised they actually did like it after all. This happened a lot with the blueberries, so hopefully we have some converts to these yummy berries, which are packed full of vitamin C and a good source of fibre.
Some of the children tried the fruits and did not like them, but I was really proud of them for giving it a go. We talked about how you may have to be exposed to a food 10-20 times before we decide we like it and so they agreed to keep an open mind and to keep trying! üçìüçáüççüçäüçìüçáüççüçäüçìüçá üççüçäüçìüçáüççüçäüçìüçáüççüçä< br> Well done to everyone who completed their fun-trition programme.
