The 2016 Typhoon Display is flown by Flt Lt Mark Long of 29(R) Squadron based at RAF Coningsby. It showcases the incredible performance of the aircraft and also demonstrates the dedication, professionalism and excellence of the RAF personnel who fly, maintain and support Typhoon operations in the UK and across the world.

Again something different for a Tuesday. #techietuesday goes to Sgt Mick Maw of the Display Team and Chief Tech Steve Forrest, here’s why! 😄⬇️ • On Saturday, 04 August, Sgt Mick Maw and C/T Steve Forrest were invited by Glenn and Derek of the Not Forgotten Association to the Castle Hill Club in Lincoln to give a talk about our role in the RAF. Mick gave a presentation on Typhoon, 29 Sqn and the Display Team with Steve providing a talk on NDT and the role of 71 (IR) Sqn. Follo...wing this, there was a raffle and auction; all of which was to raise funds and awareness of the Not Forgotten Association. This charity was established in 1920 and aids wounded & disabled servicemen and women, including veterans in organising leisure & recreational activities for them. i have only folowing the typhoon display team since last year and this year , tho my attempt to talk to Mark Long ended up as a disaster as i was only able to speak one sentence, i have spent most of this year talking to Ryan Lawton through social media and speaking to him at serveral airshow up and around the country , his display has been amazing mind blowing he has often end me in tears, i did secure a on going friendship with Ryan it will be a sad day to see him go and quite emotional for me but i wish him all the best in what ever he does next , Looking forward to see who is the 2018 display pilot is and wish him all the best Roll on 2018 season
The best display I’ve ever seen in a Typhoon. I’m not saying this because I’m British but the RAF do a unique display in this aircraft and every year it never gets old! I’ve seen the Spanish and Italian Typhoon displays and credit to them they are good, but they can’t get past the RAF. Good luck for 2018 season guys/girls, be safe.
Thank you for the fantastic display at the 30th Sunderland International Airshow, and for previous years and years to come. Never tire of seeing you guys in action! Gutted I didn't win the raffle for the model Typhoon GR4, hoping I can purchase the exact same one somewhere!
Saw the display at Torbay this weekend and as usual LOVED IT ! This aircraft never fails to amaze me, both the visual display and also sound. What I also love about the team is when you message them on here and ask a question they always reply promptly and are really helpful :)

I never cease to be amazed by the displays. You can often find me, open mouthed, like a child, staring skyward, with the smile of a mad woman!

I love how the Typhoon can go super slow whilst giving all the thrust and noise. I just wish I could find footage of it going flat out at mach 2.
I have seen them many years ago but sadly age has gone against me and I have wonderful memories with my late husband who served in the Army for 25 years and all the Armed Forces was his love !

love the typhoons they are the best. You can just hear their engines and feel the warmth of the after burners in the crowd. The slow fly past followed by shooting into the air and hearing the power in those engines love love love them! Cannot wait for this Sunday RIAT ������
Had the absolute delight of seeing this wonderful aircraft perform at Weston Super Mare this weekend and even though I have seen it before, this display was amazing, everyone viewing was taken back by it, the thunderous sound as if appears, the brilliant manoeuvres left us all overwhelmed and the final part of the display as it zooms to the sky and disappears, wow! Can't wait to see it again!

Been following the Typhoon Display Team since my 1st ever Typhoon encounter on the 24/08/2013, and have not looked back since. I often visit a few Air Shows in the West Country plus what I consider to be The Biggest Show at RAF FairFord.
Plus having spoken to the last 3 pilots through Social Media & speaking with both Mark Long & Ryan Lawton throughout 2016 & 2017. It has been an absolute Honour to meet you all.
Sadly for me, My Air Show season is now over, But I cannot wait to meet the 2018 pilot & attend a few more (funds & time allowing) shows during 2018 & beyond :)
