Here at Raven & the Writing Desk, we appreciate the beauty that comes from nature, and so we love to introduce these elements into elegant, affordable pieces, with a contrast of modern and vintage themes.
We aim to provide you with the perfect gift, whether it be for yourself or a loved one, and so we offer a fully bespoke service, and will strive to create anything you can imagine! We aren't afraid of a challenge, so please don't be shy : D
We also have in stock items, as well as random one off items which will be posted on here and on our etsy!
All animals that are used have been ethically sourced, from road kill, byproduct, my feline hunters, and natural deaths, and all gemstones are of the highest quality. We dont sell anything we would not wear ourselves!
REFUNDS AND RETURN POLICY. . . .
Returns accepted on faulty items, where a full refund or replacement will be offered
Returns accepted on all shop stock items, (within 14 days) you will be give store credit to the value of returned item.
Refunds will only be given on faulty items. If item needs adjustment then you will be offered a free returns and fixing service.
Refunds are NOT given on commissioned items, or if you change your mind /have any personal financial issues etc.

Been Updating the Etsy store today to get it back up and running! More bits will be going up soon, but so much stock went over the weekend, I dont actually know what i have yet haha! Eternally grateful to all my customers!!
After a little break, I AM BACK!!!! We were trading at tattoo tea party this past weekend, and had an absolute blast, and hope to be there next year :) thankyou to everyone who came and saw us and big extra thankyous to everyone who bought from us! I've not been posting much but I've been a busy bee behind the scenes, working on a bit of taxidermy as well as coming up with new jewellery bits :) xx
The beautiful Great tit wings are setting in their home for a few weeks, and the Jackdaw/Quartz feet have finished setting ready to be made into beautiful necklaces!! The great tit wings will be exclusive and currently are limited to these 2, plus the 2 legs which will be a special necklace, so if you want them, get in contact :D
Sorry for the quiet ness! Christmas is kicking butt this year! But I just prepared some great tit wings, and legs for jewellery, and found some finished Jackdaw pieces :D both birds were meant to be taxidermied, but both had either been frozen too long, or not soon enough, so only managed to salvage certain parts :( Buuuut, they are awful purdy :D
Ive also got no phone at the moment so can only check the page when im at my laptop, so be kind if im not too fast at replying >.<
So I know someone who is selling a fully articulated Raven!! You dont come across ravens often, and this is a fantastic looking piece at an absolute bargain price!! Please message me if you are interested and i will pass his details on to you! You really dont see this sort of piece!!

Excuse the terrible picture, but I managed my first solo full mount bird tonight! Much more practise needed, but hes not half bad :)
Also, if anyone is interested in learning more about the taxidermy process, or just seeing my random purchases and aquisitions then I have started a little blog :)
I mentioned a while ago that I'd hopefully be offering bits of taxidermy soon, so here is one of my first pieces, a little jackdaw head mount :) fully ethically sourced, and totally processed by me from start to finish ^.^ This guy is possibly spoken for, but there will be more bits coming up, with hopefully some mammals after christmas!!

November 2014 All teeth/bones are coated in a sealent or resin and are ethically gained. Most pieces are one off, and so may vary. If you want particular colours or stones on any lace necklaces please email after ordering with what you would like to: shopravenwritingdesk@gmail.com (order may take longer if alterations are not in stock) if no email/message is recieved then a random variation will be sent. As everything is handmade, and due to the nature of bones, teeth and ...crystals, nothing will be an exact replica!
