Riddings Wood is an eco-friendly Caravan and Camping park set in 11 acres of woodland in the tranquil and idyllic Derbyshire countryside offering a quiet and relaxing retreat.
Just a short distance from the Peak District, our park is the perfect location for enjoying walking, climbing, cycling, bird watching and fishing holidays. Riddings Wood offers the best of both worlds, being peacefully located in the countryside but with quick and easy access from the park to Derby, Nottingham and Mansfield.
The touring park has hardstanding pitches with grass for awnings and electric hook-up points to all pitches for caravans and motorhomes. There are also fully serviced pitches available in 2016 for tourers. There is a brand new toilet and shower block with washing and laundry facilities and a camping field for tents is close to the amenities.

Riddings Wood is proud to announce the planning permission approval for 6 new lodges. And also a sauna, steam room and a plunge pool. The lodges will all have there own individual hot tub. The new lodges will be bigger than the ones we already have. Sleeping up to 6 people. Coming in spring 2019
Riddings Wood is proud to announce the ownership of Hallcroft Fishery And Caravan Park, Retford Nottinghamshire
The park is voted as one of the top fisheries within the uk. The park is set within 70 acres and has 7 fishing lakes with a number of 398 fishing pegs,
Cafe serving food and an onsite bar serving drinks, there will be entertainment in the future.
... Touring and motorhome pitches all with or without electric hookup.
Statics and lodges are also available for you to purchase, to enjoy them well deserved holidays all year round.

What a great site run by friendly staff who are willing and helpful, had a great visit even if it did pour some of the time
We stayed 3 nights and was very happy with the site just beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful toilets and showers were also very nice only one thing that was buging us and that is how Disrespectful some guest can be in cleaning up after them self's but all in all we will definitely be bk next year � thank u riddings wood x
Stayed last night had a lovely time, the staff were fantastic so friendly and the lodge was beautiful, clean and so much warmer than I expected, will definitely return and after our stay I'm sure you will have lots of bookings because lots of friends have asked for the details of where we stayed from pictures we've shared. Thanks for a lovely experience �
Long weekend here with our touring caravan. Great site, clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and helpful.
It is a shame some campers have no respect for the facilities and leave things in a state but that's not the sites fault. Makes me feel sorry forthe staff who have to clean up after them.
We will definitely be returning here. Had a great weekend. Highly recommended.
Just got back from a night in the luxury lodges , we had a great time and children loved it. Lodges have everything you need and clean and tidy all looks brand new, will definitely be booking again soon!
Just came back from the campsite stayed in the lodge for 2 nights all was great and would definitely recommend to family or friends.
Just back from a three night stay and loved the site and the friendliness of the site managers. Toilets and showers are clean and facilities are well maintained. Weather was a little chilly in the evening so it was great that campfires are allowed.
Had a fantastic night here for our daughters 15th birthday treat its a fantastic place to stay so nice, warm and cosy :-) the lodges are brilliant and the hot tub is amazing will definitely be visiting again thank you for lovely stay! Staff are lovely, very friendly and the cabins are very clean, really good value for money xxxxx
Fab little break for 2 nights with my family, staff around on site, lodge pretty new and very clean. Hot tub is cleaned and checked regular. Loved it, all different lights in hot tub. Nice at night. Kids loved park and woodland area. Def recommend to stay in lodge. Too we for bbq but nice in sunny weather. Spot on �
Excellent site, great for kids and a very peaceful place to be. My children don’t want to leave ❤️❤️

Came here with my partner for our anniversary for a chilled night and that’s just what we got. A cute little lodge with added feature of a hot tub. Couldn’t fault it. And even better with the discount link so will defo be back in warmer weather to use the bbq and fire pit �
Absolutely loved staying here for my partners birthday, the lodge was amazing and so clean and the staff were so laid back very helpful and so lovely. Loved everything about this place the hot tub was also amazing and always clean, will definitely be returning very soon already looking at dates to come back �
A group of our friends stopped in all of the lodges for a night , it was brilliant. All sat around the log burner and used the BBQ , a few beers ,
The lodge cabins are lovely , well looked after , set out brilliantly , I can recommend them to anybody , we took a dog in ours and even the decking is fenced off and close to dog walking area ,

We had a one night stay here. We paid £17. Amazing staff, really friendly and helpful. Site is on quite a steep hill. Toilet block was clean. Showers were £1 for 3 mins. My only gripe is that a party had set up a goal post. Because of the steep hill the balls kept rolling down towards our caravan. The site provides a lovely park and plenty of room for children to play.
So would have been nice if they played in the area provided. Other than that its a nice site.
We had a lovely stay at Riddings Wood. Nice relaxed site but the toilets did get a bit messy due to the amount of people using them and there was no soap in the dispensers all weekend. However we would stay here again.
Stayed on this park from the 14th July -16th July and i was pleasantly surprised. We were camped at the bottom of the hill on a nice flat pitch right next to forest, the toilet/ shower facilities are better than some hotels !!Also the little wash room is an added bonus with washing machine and tumble dryer for small fee .Showers are £1.00 for 10 mins and definitely worth it! Looking to return but hopefully to stay in lodge �
Really nice campsite with helpful staff, shower block and washing facilities are just what you need, staff are strict about noise levels after 2300 which is great 👍
Lovely place and facilities were great and clean, however what really spoilt it for us was the very bad smell that was constant.... apparently due to drainage.
Generally good, grounds were clean and maintained. I liked the music piped through the shower block. Improvements such as hand soap being added to all soap dispensers in the toilets would be good (as all were empty for the whole weekend) and extra hooks in the shower cubicles would be useful as well as the back of the toilet doors. All cardboard/cans/bottles from our social event the night before could only be deposited into the general 1100L waste bins so it would be good to have the option of separating the waste. I'd stay again though.
