We had our wedding here this weekend and had such an amazing day. We choose this venue as it is in a beautiful location, with tasteful decor and very competitive wedding packages.



We wanted our wedding to be simple and uncomplicated so choose to go for a surprise wedding telling our guests they were coming for a birthday/engagement party. The Riverside were fantastic and helped us to plan a seamless event and coordinated the whole evening. The rooms looked amazing, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious (all 53 of our guests were served a lovely hot meal all at the same time!)

We had our wedding day 3wks ago today. Right from booking our wedding Karen couldn't have been more helpful if she tried. On the day Karen & Kat made us feel at ease, communicated with us both all day to make sure we were at the right place at the right time. They certainly took away all the stress for us both. Nothing was ever too much trouble & we got the wedding of our dreams. We would highly recommend getting married at here.

We got married here in 2016 and we love eating here too food is fantastic and service Is also very good, we’re alway made to feel welcome

Took my family for breakfast with Santa, other family members also attended,the children were in awe of Santa who really played the part fantastically, he engaged really well with the children. They all said what a great day they had & want to book for next year. Children all had a present & we all enjoyed a full English breakfast. Lots of opportunity to have photos took with Santa too. The staff were helpful & nothing was too much bother.

The food was amazing and the service, took my fiancé for her birthday as a treat and we both had Sunday roast and we will definitely be there again. Chef and brewer are always lovely places to go.

My husband and I stayed at The Riverside Hotel last night for my birthday.

And I can asure you we will be returning.

Food was amazing,the staff we're very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic for the price,great view. And the fire was roaring..

My first time dining here yesterday lunch time...i was't dissapointed...fantastic surroundings made beautuful by the snow fall ...a great lunch menu and was able to choose a heathy option of seabass and baby roasts...polite and friendly staff and the food and service was great...i will be back .

Lovely place and the food is absolutely amazing, complements to the chef � Richard Davis, he can cook a mean roast amongst everything else, he is an asset to your company and I believe he will go far!

Just had a fabulous family friendly meal with some friends and their two children. Both children were catered for immediately whist we were still making our choices, which made for a much easier and enjoyable meal for everybody. The staff and the service received was great, plus the food (as always) was of an excellent standard! So lucky to have this fab venue on our doorstep.

I had my wedding here Saturday 31st March and it was amazing the staff were falling over themselves to help us and to make our day as stress free as it could be. They were amazing I had my dream wedding so thank you so very much. They food was lovely to xx

A special thankyou to Simon, i think you made a great impression on my whole family, you were fantastic, very helpful and made me feel at ease as I was a nervous mess � thankyou so much! 02-09-17. Officially the best day of our life!!! Me and rob got married here after almost 10 years together, the place where our story started and the place where our next chapter begins. We want to say the biggest thank you ever to all of the team, especially karen, Simon, tom and jess. The four of you ensured our day ran as perfect as it could have done, it literally was perfect. I am such an organised freak that every item was boxed and tagged and the reception was full when we dropped everything off much to Simon's delight � I was nervous about handing over control of the setting up but I must admit I couldn't have done it any better myself, I was overwhelmed when we had that room reveal, best moment ever. The food was flawless, timings were perfect, staff were phenomenal in helping us feel relaxed, the bridal suite was gorgeous. Again thank you to everyone especially the previous 4 named, we can't thank you enough. X

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary yesterday, 25 years since our wedding at the hotel. The food was wonderful and Simon was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made our celebrations run smoothly and was really helpful with my requests when setting up the room. Without him our day wouldn't have been the success it was. Thank you so much Simon, you truly are an asset to the hotel. Louise and Darren Hughes

Very friendly place. In general we found the food excellent. However I felt the ploughman’s wasn’t value for money

Really lovely place. And fabulous to be able to walk to with our dogs.

The only thing that lets it down is the bar staff. Never acknowledge you even if you've been waiting a while. Awesomely slow and even make you feel like you're being a nuisance by ordering a drink. A real shame as it puts us off visiting more often and we walk to the Elms instead.

Just a hello and a smile would make all the difference......
