On Friday night 1228 Squadron Louth Air Cadets held their award ceremony. The cadets have worked hard all year, and it was an honour to be invited to see them receive awards for activities they have taken part in and the things they have learned. From first aid to fire training, cooking to sports to plane modelling, their activities go far beyond the parade ground. They are learning to be the air force officers and the citizens of the future.
None of this would be possible wi...thout the hard work and dedication of the staff, who were also recognised during the evening. It was a great credit to all involved.

Last night Louth Town Council voted to raise their portion of the council tax next year by around 29%. I and the rest of the Labour group voted against this. It's unfair to expect people to shoulder such a large, unexpected increase.
