“Now under new owners - Impressive 5 star service and food”

We have visited this bistro several times over the last few years but tonight's meal was the most delicious and the most enjoyable yet. It was a pleasure to meet the new owners/chefs and their extremely friendly team of staff. We booked a table with friends (4 adults and 3 teenagers) and were made to feel very welcome. We had the special Steak Night menu of 2 steak, chips and accompaniments + bottle of wine for £30. The steaks were the best we had eaten. Dexter beef cooked to perfection. Very attentive waitress. We weren't planning on having pudding but couldn't resist.. Puddings were delicious too. Thank you for a lovely meal. We will be back and have already booked for Sunday lunch.

UPDATE: after visit number 2 - 5 Stars Again -Highly recommend Pie Night. Had a delicious meal. Steak and Ale, chicken and leek and wild mushroom for the veggie option. Between our table we tried them all. All very tasty. Second time of visiting the NEW Sage and Brooke. The fire was lit and we had a lovely warm welcome. The chef owners are producing wonderful food. You need to visit or revisit this Bistro. At last Grafton Underwood has a fabulous restaurant that we can't wait to visit again. Thank you.

Wonderful food. The best chips I have ever had! Lovely place, and garden and surroundings. We loved getting our free Pimms for the Royal Wedding. Warm friendly staff. We will be back very soon. Highly recommend.

Went as a group of 6 for the evening. Cocktails and drinks were flowing, log burner was on and food was to die for! The little dishes went down like a storm almost tapas style. An ideal place to go with friends to enjoy great tasty well cooked food in a beautiful setting! Favourites were the chorizo and 8 hour cooked ragu! Thanks for a full belly and a great evening!

Went today with some friends and got a lovely lunch, nice atmosphere and friendly people. Going back soon !

We went here for a joint pre birthday lunch and it was awesome. Its like having lunch in somebody's home- very welcoming and great home cooking with local produce, thoroughly recommend. A real jewel in Northamptonshire crown.

We got to this place by chance, looking for a nice place to eat after a Sunday morning in the park, and it was totally worth it. Service was very good and food was great.

Turned up on Easter Sunday and was disappointed to find only a limited menu available. Waitress came back 5 mins later and said we could have the fillet steak we wanted (or anything of the normal menu)

So glad we stayed, one of the best fillet steak - perfectly cooked rare of course, we have had in a long time.

We will definitely return!

Took our 5 children for lunch. What a beautiful setting, the new owners/chefs are very friendly, welcoming & clearly talented. A large chilled bottle of water was on our table which I thought was a nice touch. Had a table near the wood burner, we ordered a selection of sandwiches. (Steak, BLT, cheese ploughman’s etc) they all came with thrice chips. Also some pork ribs (amazing!) Great portion size too. Absolutely delicious! These weren’t any ordinary sandwiches these were S&B sandwiches! They had an excellent selection of fresh homemade cakes too! Will definitely be going back soon!

My boyfriend and I went for a late Valentine's meal last night and had a wonderful evening. The food was the best we had a tasted out for a long time. The service was excellent, they couldn't do enough for us. Such a lovely atmosphere and setting too. We will be back for sure and will highly recommend it to our friends

My Dad and I chose S&B for our joint 70th and 40th celebratory Sunday lunch today. There were 31 of us (all ages!) and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the S&B team. I would highly recommend the place for a private party and will definitely be returning for Sunday lunch!

Met some friends here for lunch this afternoon after hearing good things, and we were not disappointed. The food (gnocci for me and the burger for the other 3) was spot on, absolutely delicious. I also loved the little sign on the menu to indicate which items are locally sourced. Not cheap, but in my opinion well worth the money due to the obvious freshness and the generous portion sizes.

Loved the decor and the cosy atmosphere, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They did not rush us at all even though we accidentally stayed chatting past the closing time (sorry)! All this and in the picture perfect village of Grafton Underwood - what could be better. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just back from a sunny lunch at Sage & Brook with my mum! The food was delicious and a really nice portion size and the service was superb!!

We had the three for £10 nibbles as a starter come antipasti, with a bottle of champagne, fish and chips and duck main with puds to finish and it I'm came to under £70 for the two of us. Coupled with the tranquil background and bird call soundtrack, I wouldn't hesitate in returning! Plus Jerry the cat is gorgeous and I want him for myself!!!

Had the most amazing Xmas day lunch at Sage and Brooke! A huge bronzed Turkey carved at the table, roast potatoes to die for and all the trimmings, with homemade bread and cranberry sauces. Service was excellent. First time going out for Xmas day dinner and it was superb. Can't recommend enough

Another fantastic Sunday lunch enjoyed by my daughter and I. This is my fifth visit in about 3 weeks ! I've already done the pie night twice because it's soooo good. The standard of food is superb, the price is very reasonable and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The new owners are elevating this restaurant to something really special.
