We do our shopping there every week.Before that we have a meal in the cafe.We love Sainsburys for me especially the clothes..Some things are quite expensive. But on the whole it is a great place with plenty of room to get around .The staff are always friendly which is so very good.On the whole 10 out 10..A great shop...

Really impressed with Sainsbury's, Caldewgate today. I bought a box of their wine on Friday and it was off. They exchange no problem without my receipt and gave me a £5 gift card to say sorry. Top customer service!

Love the cafe. Food is always quick to come out and is hot and tasty. Portions are good too. Staff are always helpful and smiling too. Best place to eat in carlisle

Just wanted to say that having received my online meat order , I have nothing but praise for the quality of the products.



I know it's controversial but we had venison and it was Amazing. The instructions were very accurate re cooking times. Melted In Your mouth.



This should be available in store on regular basis.

I absolutely love Sainsbury's but speciall the Free From section -being a Coeliac we have no choice but to stick to a lifelong gluten free diet and Sainsbury's have the best choice for me anyway ant to top that they have now got a brand new selection of Freshly Baked Gluten Free Beead in the bakery department-life doesn't get any better if your a Coeliac -THANKYOU Sainsbury's for making life more normal for 1,000's of us x

Went upstairs for lunch. Waited 30 minutes in queue to be told there was another 30 minute wait for cooked food. Went downstairs and did our shopping by which time we were really hungry and went back to cafe. This time we ordered baked potatoes and were told there would be a 15 minute wait! Ordered Diet Coke but there was none despite the main store being downstairs. We then asked for coffee which we got and it was cold. There were no serviettes and we had to find someone and ask. Won't be back.
