The BACK, FACE & SCALP TREATMENT is worth every penny. I have just had the most relaxing 85 minutes of my life (seriously). After welcoming me into a lovely warm candle lit treatment room, my therapist Amelia talked me through the various Espa oils she would be using a let me select my favourite scents. She started with a facial cleanse, followed by a fabulous back massage which took me right to the edge of my pain barrier, but not quite over it, and gradually worked out the tension in the back of my shoulders. A bowl of hot water with scented oil had been placed under the bed so I could inhale the calming vapours throughout the massage, which ended with hot stones. Then the full facial and scalp massage, with hair treatment, which I can't tell you much about because it was so relaxing it put me to sleep! The extended length of time allowed me to fully relax as it takes my mind a long time to fully unwind, overall a wonderful experience which I would recommend to anyone who is busy and stressed.

My experience always exceeds expectation at The Old Hall and my hair is always done to my entire satisfaction . Sally Montague has cut and advised on my hair since 2010 and understands my needs and my difficult hair. The colour technicians do a great job too. Eve coloured mine yesterday and I was delighted. I’ve been having my hair cut and coloured by Lou for a number of years at the old hall salon, I always love everything about it, she always takes the time to listen to me about what I want giving me the perfect cut, colour and blow dry. Yesterday I came into the salon for a blow dry with Lou (obviously my blow dry was perfect) however I wanted to comment on here about the atmosphere of the salon, it was well and truly above and beyond my expectation, the salon was beautifully decorated for the Royal Wedding, staff were handing out delicious homemade cakes and they even had a television so that we could watch the wedding while having our hair done!!!! Thank you to the team at the old hall and a special thanks to Lou for always being the best xxx

I've been a customer of this group for years and 17.5 years ago had my wedding hair done at the Friargate salon. For the past 2 years Fern has been styling mine and it's the best it's ever been!!! Yesterday after having had to cancel my appointment last month she was able to accommodate me and my teenage daughter at very short notice......We were not rushed or criticised.... It was fantastic top notch service!! Thanks

I have been a client of this salon for many years and have always been delighted with the service I receive. However, about 18 months ago I was diagnosed with advanced cancer and have endured two rounds of chemotherapy which resulted in almost immediate and complete hair loss.

I had no hesitation in putting myself in the hands of the wonderful Sally whose care, expertise, and sensitivity exceed anything I could have hoped for.

My wig fittings were discrete, private and completely unhurried. Had it been my Mum looking after me I couldn’t have had better care and I will never be able to thank her enough.

For women,the thought and reality of losing their hair is almost as bad as their diagnosis. This is a traumatic time and for anyone going through this if you can get to see Sally Montague DO SO.

I had my hair cut by Kathryn/Katherine (sorry!) at The Old Hall. I also had my hair put up for a wedding by her last week. I've been so pleased with both- she does such a brilliant job!! The salon is absolutely lovely with such a nice atmosphere.

Had my hair done today by Hannah and i am really impressed with the quality of my hair cut, it looks gorgeous. The salon is beautiful and the staff are lovely and welcoming. Sally introduced herself to me and told me a bit about her salon which was really nice and i wasn't expecting her to be there! Definately going back and would reccomend. The standards are very high!

Always a wonderful and professional welcome by Linda at the belper salon she makes every visit feel like you are visiting friends, I really like the fact that she remembers my name.

I have never left the salon without being 100% happy with my hair Laura is a fabulous stylist, I get bored with my hair easily and she always recommends something new and vibrant for me to try.

I also have regular treatments with Grace she is the best beauty therapist I have ever used extremely knowledgeable with all the treatments and products available.

My daughter went for a trim and they charged for a restyle.

Your given one price on entering and another on exiting.

I have recently moved to the area, with the Belper salon having been recommended to me. First impressions were not good unfortunately. I arrived promptly for my initial appointment/colour test at 1.30....and at 1.50 asked when I was likely to be seen, as no one had told me why I was having to wait. I felt invisible! I was then informed that the stylist was running late, which of course can happen - and I would not have had a problem with this, if someone had bothered to tell me, instead of keeping me waiting with no explanation. I'm afraid that ultimately this lack of communication does not fill me with confidence. I will look for another salon. Disappointing.
