We went up to sec to fit out our first barbershop and had a fantastic experience. Imogen was brilliant, making us feel at ease and she gave us a really good price. All of the staff were really good and we will be coming back when we expand. Thanks to everyone there for all your help.

We ordered 6 beautiful chairs from you and cannot be happier! The chairs are of amazing quality and the finish is beautiful, they make our salon look just how we wanted it! We have recently refurbished our new salon and have had 8 new salon chairs and 2 washbasins in the lunar pod range (so comfortable) from SEC and from start to finish they have been fantastic, keeping us updated on delivery so we could be in the new salon to take the order and letting me add onto my order when I had miscounted chairs! We have owned successful salons for over 30 years and have been using the SEC for many of those, and we wouldn't go anywhere else. They are a real great bunch of people who are really helpful and friendly, and are with you from start to finish. We would never go anywhere else for our salon equipment. Payed and delivered in24 hours brilliant service .

On the 24th April I visited SEC to purchase 4 wash units, a reception desk and a new colour processor. After nearly 2 hours driving, I was very happy to be approached by a kind lady offering tea or coffee and allowing us to view freely.

Imogen dealt with my order, even with my difficult requests.

I had continued phone calls weekly, confirming my order and then delivery date.

Today my order was delivered. The driver called an hour prior to the delivery as I was told.

When Jason the driver turned up, he was very patient with me considering the tight gaps and doorways, with limited space for my delivery. He was kind and considerate towards other members of staff and clients.

I'm now so excited to fit my new equipment.

I ordered some pre loved furniture and the service from purchasing to delivery was second to none. My purchase had to come to the southwest and I was worried things might have got damaged, but I needn't have worried, everything arrived well wrapped and in perfect condition. Beginning of may this year my barber shop was involved in a fire, the day later (after finding a temporary empty shop overnight) I spoke to the lovely Katie and I cannot recommend her customer service enough! We hired a van the moment I got off the phone to her and drove up that day to speak a little more and purchase what was needed to refit a whole new 7 chair shop. She rang for updates and just to how we were getting on and made a massive stress a lot lot easier to deal with, not just your sale calls most other shops give! I cannot thank you enough for your help even if I am 8 months to late publicly thanking you! Sorry!

Didn’t start off with the best experience with the company through misunderstandings of what products were ordered but after I noted my issues via Facebook, I received a phone call from a lovely gentleman called Andy who quickly apologised and resolved and diffused the situation in seconds. Andy needs a promotion and needs to definitely give the company staff training courses in complaint management as he was excellent and restored my faith in good customer service!

Unfortunately I ordered some covers for our salon chairs in November and after 3 call by myself I get a call today of apology to be told they they had forgot to place the order now I have another 3 weeks before delivery . I could say many more things but it is what it is when someone is in control .....

Have dealt with salon equipment centre in the past and they were amazing.

This time it's been a nightmare, damaged chair that had to be replaced, then had to ask them when they were picking up damaged one,sink unit that soaked the colour into porcelain awaiting replacement, two wall units awaiting replacement, two trolleys that I'd ordered, which they forgot to order. Emails not replied to, phone calls not returned. My son got attention through Facebook message.

Think they need to give more attention to their quality control,before delivery. Plus their customer service needs addressing. Kisha @ no 12

The worst customer service I have ever experienced.



I have given this company enough chances to contact and correct the faulty goods I received . But I have to be the one chasing them !

I also bought an antique shelving unit from them and when hanging it a piece fell off . On further inspection the whole thing had been glued and was loose everywhere ! I contacted them again about this to be told after 2nd conversation with management that he would be in touch.

I waited another 2weeks and NO call!

I contacted them again then to be told .

I have to wait up to another 3weeks for replacement of foot stands .... they don’t have them in stock .

And that the antique shelving unit was bought as seen !

I paid £145 for bits of wood glued together ... !

I have worked and bought from companies in the industry for 20yrs and never experienced such customer service .

And will not be recommending to my friends in the industry.

I recently ordered two backwash chairs recommended by the salesman, when I received them they were not a good fit with my basins, and almost all the clients complained about them not being comfortable. I immediately contacted SEC to ask if I could send them back and have something else, they would only offer me £30 for each chair, when I had paid £150 for them, even though one was damaged they would only replace that part. I tried getting intouch with several people within SEC but to no avail! In future I will buy from the Internet as you have a few days to return things if you make a genuine mistake or if something is damaged

Disgusting customer service. Cheap water waste pipe on my backwashes couldn’t handle drain unblocker, which resulted in a leak and cause power to cut out in my salon. They told me it’s not there problem (as there is only 12 month warranty) and would I like to buy new pipes, which I did as long as they were sent out that day on next day delivery, so it would be here by this Monday for the Plumber . they confirmed it would be sent out with today deliveries, took the payment (£50) and order last Thursday. I rang on Monday while the Plumber was there waiting to fit the pipe that hadn’t arrived, to be told they hadn’t sent the pipe out but they will send it with today’s post and it will be there Tuesday! Very kind of them to offer free delivery and “an upgraded wastepipe” as they only send out basic one with backwashes??? Wish I had known that when I ordered them! These back washes where over 600 each.!! Manager Andy extremely rude and arrogant!
