easy going bar great atmosphere

We popped in before a concert to grab something to eat and absolutely loved it here. We were served by a guy called Brendan and he was professional, funny and really friendly. He gave us suggestions for a cocktail which was spot on and came and checked if we were doing ok. It’s rare nowadays to get great customer service and he got this just right. Thanks for a great visit.

Very good commercial style bar. Friendly bar staff. Large open space. Nice decor and furniture. Nice drinks too. I would recommend visiting this bar.

Tried Saltbox for the first time pre-game and would defo come again. Match offer was decent and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the food was given the offer (£8 for food and drink) - great value.

Great, prompt service by Brendan who kept checking on us and making us howl - give this man a celebratory glass!! Can't wait for the next trip ��

The layout as you walk in is good, welcoming and the sound not overpowering, a great place to hold a corporate party and get a great bite to eat in the process with the excellent facilities to accommodate all that you need from a very good bar, I Would recommend all day long.. Funk Surgery Style..

Just want to say thank you to all the staff that made our visit today an amazing experience. Not many places accommodate a bunch of mums, babies and a van load of pushchairs. You guys went above and beyond today. Thank you so much!

I celebrated my birthday here and had the best night. Sammi was amazing at helping to organise it, and Dan, Brandon and Wes were our fantastic bartenders- everyone said how great you were. Many thanks again, would def recommend for a special occasion!!

Had some food a drinks here whilst waiting tonight for the Stereophonics gig service was spot on and the Chicken Ramen and were very good Actually food here was incomparably good when compared to a recent visit to a supposed Four Star hotel the Manor of Groves in Sawbridgeworth Hertfordshire �

Great venue ... first visit ..the food looked amazing friendly helpful staff and no extortionate drink prices..gets the thumbs up from me .

Excellent place we went for pizza and prosecco as much as you can drink in 90mins . Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely I was surprised how big the pizzas were . Definitely would recommend this place . Can't wait to go back

Came to see joey negro last night . venue was great.! Great night .bar staff all lovely....if i want to be picky .would of liked the large speaker on back wall to be on so sound was as loud every where. But still had a fantastic night

Brendan was fantastic, I can personally say this guy is superb and made our experience fabulous! I would defo come back just to get a smile out of this guy as was having a bad day before coming in here in which he recommended me a cocktail - I never have enjoyed a cocktail more!

The staff were rushing around but we were not ignored and we were kept informed that our drinks were running a bit behind and they apologised (it was peak time on a Saturday night, to be expected). Will defo go back ���

the venue is good brilliant place to host bands. drinks, good selection & reasonable.

Toilets are worn down needs attention.

We went to the Peaky Blinders take over evening. Had a fabulous time. Food was understandably a limited menu, but was ample amount when served at reasonable price of £8 with a drink included. The staff were very attentive despite being very busy and the evening ran smoothly and it seems everyone enjoyed the evening costumes etc were amazing. Only negatives were it was extremely loud in there and a lack of loos for such a busy bar on themed nights such as this. But will definitely visit again.

Nice atmosphere, nice food, nice , friendly staff, if you want a meal before attending an event at the Motorpoint Arena I would recommend it, the food is very reasonably priced and we were not rushed after we had finished to leave despite them being very busy. Will certainly go back if we go to the arena again

Hadn't booked a table but they seated us straight away even though it was very busy,the food was very nice and we didn't have to wait too long at all,when we are going to a gig at motor point arena we will definitely be starting our night here

Being short on time for something to eat before the Panthers game, we decided to give the Saltbox a try. We thought it was a bit pricey but the pre- match game deal meant we ate and had a drink for £8 a head.



We hadn't booked but were made welcome and seated quickly.in the restaurant. Despite being.busy and being.told there would be a 25.minute wait, the food arrived pretty quickly. It was tasty and the generous portions were filling. We even tried the desserts! Id like to see more vegetarian options across the menu though please.



All the staff were friendly and chatty and Brendan in particular was engaging and offered valuable advice on the menu.



IIm pretty sure we will visit again!

The Evening with the Cast of Red Dwarf was amazing. Shame the staff were do noisy when we were all trying to listen to the actors speak. Also, there were a really loud table of people shouting over everything - either staff or a load of people who weren't told to stop ruining the night for everyone else. Not the best set up for a panel type event.
