Eastgate incident, 8th April 2018
In response to misleading reports following the aforementioned matter we issue this statement.
At approximately 0250 on Sunday 8th April, Police were called to an incident on Eastgate in Louth.... Two local men both aged 19 had received injuries caused by a sharp instrument. Staff from Samuels nightclub were the first response to an unpleasant episode and called emergency services and gave first aid until further assistance arrived. Samuels Nightclub would like to clarify that the incident did not take place within our premises and the two males were attacked, further along the road, by a member of the public who was not a patron of the nightclub.
We would like to thank our customers for their cooperation and understanding when leaving the club following the event, and send our best wishes for a rapid recovery to the persons involved.
Enquiries continue and police request that anybody with information is asked to leave their details, in confidence by calling 101 and quoting incident 78 of 8th April.
