Always check the 'small print'! Yesterday, we had a client tell us that our Conveyancing Quote was about £200 more than the lawyer recommended by the Estate Agent. We had a look at their quote and, surprise, surprise, the 'quote' looked low until you took a look at their so called 'extras' such as payment for file storage, payment for ID checks, payments to deal with redemption of a mortgage - all things that are not really 'extra'!
