Sarah Ryan is a vocal composer and has worked as a professional musician and vocal tutor for 20 years. Sarah specialises in contemporary voice training.
Her performing work has included theatre work with Cameron Mackintosh in The West End. BBC TV, radio, session work, cabaret, festivals and venues touring extensively in the UK and internationally.
Sarah still works regularly as a live performer and session singer based in the West Country. Sarah works regularly as M. D. for Gareth Malone’s Military Wives.
Sarah runs singing and performance workshops and Gifted and Talented workshops for singers and musicians. She has worked for Dorset C. C. and Devon C. C. as a vocal tutor and currently teaches in 6 schools.
Sarah specialises in Rockschool vocal grades 1-8, validated and endorsed by Trinity College, London. Sarah's students have recently been recognised by Rockschool as some of the youngest and most successful students in the UK, achieving exceptional results for their age. Sarah has the youngest boy Rory Ryan, 12 and girl Phoebe Holmes Simeon, 11 to achieve grade 8 in the UK! ! Sarah also teaches privately at her state of the art recording studio based in Seaton with her husband / business partner, professional guitarist and contemporary guitar tutor Nick Ryan.
