Textile and ceramic artist Nicki Jarvis will be โin residenceโ at the NSO from Monday 22 - Sunday 28 October. During this time she will be creating a new artwork, entitled โBirds Without Sky,โ inspired by the poet, academic and human rights activist Malka al-Haddad. Malka spends time in East Lindsey through the Greater Lincolnshire Area of Sanctuary project, where she stays with a host family.
Nicki makes work that is loosely based on t...he traditional quilt, using hand-stitching and screen-printing to explore her ideas. Her pieces are then embellished with handmade buttons made by Nicki at Oxcombe Pottery near Belchford.
Nicki will be delighted to chat to visitors about her work and looks forward to seeing a new piece take shape in a public space. For more information go to www.nickijarvis.co.uk

Todayโs new edition to Seascape our quaint little childrenโs area ๐
We had a lovely lunch today....soup and two children's lunch boxes. We will be back. Cakes looked fab! Highly recommend!
Took my mum for a visit today, first time for both of us. Staff were so friendly and helpful, the coffee yummy and the scones...... DE-LIC-OUS!! And such beautiful beachside views. LOOKING forward to lots of visits throughout the year
The building is stunning and the outlook is gorgeous. Food was lovely and fresh and a great selection. We will defiantly be back soon. ๏ฟฝ
Lovely lunch here today. Very friendly staff. Good food. Cakes look delicious but after quiche and salad no room for cake. Will definitely come back to sample cake.
Sea view fabulous.
Just had a lovely meal with my little boy, the staff were great, such a nice atmosphere, thank you
Great tapas evening with my Papa. Tasty food, good service, lovely banter and the right ambience for watching the sea and sky at the day's end.
Great place, great food and friendly staff! An excellent place to visit, the views are amazing!
Friendly staff, efficient service, lovely food including vegan and gluten free options- we are locals and love this place!
Fabulous place, great views, super friendly staff and delicious food. Will definitely be visiting again...and again...๏ฟฝ
Excellent food and that they support local businesses by buying local. The price represents the food top quality. The staff are friendly and polite. Could have stayed all day looking out at the sea very relaxing. Will be going again but might take my little pooch. Well done seascape.
Excellent coffee in a lovely setting with amazing views. The food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff.
Excellent coffee & cake selection. Yet to try the breakfast & lunch menu however the food looked good coming out of the kitchen. Friendly staff & relaxing atmosphere with fantastic views. I work on Eastfields Park across the road and will definitely be recommending the NSO to the customers on the caravan site ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
Called here with my friend this morning. Dogs very welcome and water on hand for them :)
Lincolnshire plum bread toasted and a lovely coffee. Yummy will definitely visit again
Brought my mum and Grandad for a visit today. We were really impressed with the whole place. It has a welcoming atmosphere and the staff were friendly and obliging. It was good to see them checking on people and clearing tables efficiently. The views are fab, and sofas are sited to allow people to soak up the sea view.
We had jacket potatoes which were lovely and came with a decent side salad and coleslaw. Lemon water is available to all guests which is a lovely touch. By lunch time it was slightly warm but the lovely staff had ice on hand when asked.
The cakes looked lovely and we will be coming back to sample them.
Absolutely wonderful tapas night in such a beautiful setting. Fantastic food & great service! Canโt wait for the next one ๏ฟฝxx
Loved it, feel quite lucky living just across the road, and been number 3 on loyalty card, atmosphere great, found staff very friendly, food was good, needs a few alterations, was informed that was going to happen, but shall be a regular visitor.
Very disappointed, really looking forward to coffee and cake. Whilst waiting to be served the flies around the coffee machine and bin which was overflowing...the coffee was ok, however the chocolate cake was dry and still frozen in the middle, spoilt what could have been a nice experie ce there.
We were informed that Seascape is dog friendly. This is not the case as no dogs are not allowed at lunch time. No signs are displayed to advertise this fact. For a purpose built cafe this is a poor set up with an inadequate serving area and dim witted staff. Not recommended.
This was a very disappointing first visit, no space outside so asked the girl at the door if dogs were allowed inside, she said yes they were. We went inside, found a table and then went to order at the counter only to be told that dogs were not allowed inside between 12-3pm! This makes no sense whatsoever as food is served all day so you should either allow dogs in or not! Such a shame as you looked really dog friendly with all the bowls of water outside but if my dog isn't allowed in then I'm not coming back.
