The Town Council is the Parish Council for Skegness. It comprises 21 elected members that meet monthly.

Skegness Town Council has achieved the highest recognition in the Town /Parish Council sector, the Local Council Quality Gold Award.

Skegness Town Council Description

The Town Council duties include:

Management of the Cemetery, Sunshine Play Area, Allotments, Christmas Illuminations and some of the benches and bus shelters in the town.
Amenity Grass Cutting.
Reviewing and making comments on planning applications within the Town.
Liaising with relevant authorities regarding infrastructure /policing /community issues to represent public views and getting the best advantage for the local area
Engage with all interested parties regarding current and future shape of life in the local area.
