We had afternoon tea hen party at weekend we were well looked after by Rob , nothing too much trouble an enjoyable afternoon was had by everyone. We had cocktails etc as well

and they were brought to our table asap . Good service all round .

Slug and Lettuce Lincoln went above and beyond to be accommodating, with excellent service, food and staff. We had both food, drinks and were given permission to shoot part of our MA film for GzakProductions at the location. We have no complaints and could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you for your help and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a business meeting to a night out.

Popped in for food while down the hight street. Ordered two steaks.... Medium done. And would just like to say it is genuinely the BEST cooked steak we have eaten out to date, compliments to the chef. It was fresh and cooked to perfection, perfect portion sizes and very reasonably priced. And to top it off the bar man was very helpful and cheery!!! Highly recommended, will be travelling to eat here again very soon!! �

Had my hen do there with a prosecco master class, jarrod was our host and cant recommend him highly enough, very chatty and couldn't do enough for us!

Came in here with my daughter and sister with our children for lunch before we went to see a show at the theatre Royal..staff was lovely, service was great.. meal was lovely ..went to the show and after we cameback for a couple of pina coladas ..� and a plate of chips. Had a giggle with the lady behind the bar.. cannot fault it..we 'll be back again. Xx

Excellent menu ... something to suit everyone. Finished with couple of cocktails and mini desserts. Worthy of a quiet 21st celebration(!!!)

I called to book a table for last night on the day and was told I would be called back to confirm this, I never received a call so I paid a visit to check that my table was booked. I was told at this point that they had me down and it was fine. I then arrived at the time I had booked for, confused on where to go as there was no greeting staff for bookings so I found someone at the end of the bar and said I had a table booked for him to reply “Do you?!”. He then ran off and got a table from the back to set up for me (my table obviously was not booked, despite me checking twice) and seated me up against a radiator in the corner.

We then deliberated whether we had to go up to the bar to order food or not as we were not told. I went up and got served reasonably quickly. We wanted to try the “Tapas Tails” (the main reason I chose to eat here) but to my disappointment I was told they do not serve these on Saturdays as they take too much time, this was not stated anywhere on the menu.

I then ordered different cocktails for us which were nice and our food (the Meat Board). They had run out of the cured meat so replaced it with something else which was fine, but when the food arrived everything was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for hours, the quality of the food anyway wasn’t worth the money even if it would have been hot. I can now see that food probably isn’t a main priority on Saturday night as the majority of people were just drinking, but it was still very infuriating to have paid a fair amount of money to be let down on so many aspects.

We left as soon as we could so didn’t hang around to speak to management, but we were really not happy about paying for the food and service we received.

Had our works meal here and sadly it won't be happening again smelt of sick floors where that sticky we wiped our feet on the way out seats where mucky . That's just the start . Sadly we orderd burgers and extra sides of chicken skewers ect . Burger was okay very dry onions where just mush my main issue was the chicken skewers I ate one realising it was pink on inspection we found they was all the same . Next day now I have been up since 3am being sick and so have my work colleges . and before the silliness starts I have been tea total for 5 years . Unless my ice water was vodka. Such a shame this place use to do amazing food and wonderful table service with someone to greet you . Sadly not the case any more . Very disappointed if I'm honest ..

Next day now I have been up since 3am being sick and so have my work colleges . and before the silliness starts I have been tea total for 5 years . Unless my ice water was vodka. Such a shame this place use to do amazing food and wonderful table service with someone to greet you . Sadly not the case any more . Very disappointed if I'm honest ..

What a lovely place. Staff very pleasant. Esp our waitress Pheobe and bar staff Connor. Food excellent . Will definitely be back.

We had afternoon tea hen party at weekend we were well looked after by Rob , nothing too much trouble an enjoyable afternoon was had by everyone. We had cocktails etc as well

and they were brought to our table asap . Good service all round .

Slug and Lettuce Lincoln went above and beyond to be accommodating, with excellent service, food and staff. We had both food, drinks and were given permission to shoot part of our MA film for GzakProductions at the location. We have no complaints and could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you for your help and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a business meeting to a night out.

Popped in for food while down the hight street. Ordered two steaks.... Medium done. And would just like to say it is genuinely the BEST cooked steak we have eaten out to date, compliments to the chef. It was fresh and cooked to perfection, perfect portion sizes and very reasonably priced. And to top it off the bar man was very helpful and cheery!!! Highly recommended, will be travelling to eat here again very soon!! �

Me and my mum really enjoyed the afternoon tea & cocktails today. Very friendly staff and lovely food & drink at great prices. We will definitely be back again soon.

Had my hen do there with a prosecco master class, jarrod was our host and cant recommend him highly enough, very chatty and couldn't do enough for us!

Great venue with a really friendly team. Service was very quick. Try the marinated chicken salad - it’s delicious! Would definitely recommend for any occasion.

Came in here with my daughter and sister with our children for lunch before we went to see a show at the theatre Royal..staff was lovely, service was great.. meal was lovely ..went to the show and after we cameback for a couple of pina coladas ..� and a plate of chips. Had a giggle with the lady behind the bar.. cannot fault it..we 'll be back again. Xx

Came here last night for a cocktail class for my best friends hen do and had a great time! Lots of fun, our cocktail maker was lovely! Great buffet, certainly gave us a fab start to our evening! Would highly reccomend, thanks :)

Yesterday, out for lunch looking for somewhere where we could chat. Service was good. Food was really delicious.. chicken pie, fish n chips, veg linguine and smothered chicken. Excellent menu ... something to suit everyone. Finished with couple of cocktails and mini desserts. Worthy of a quiet 21st celebration(!!!)

We went in for cocktails and food which were all very nice. Speed of service was much better than the last time we went and totally acceptable. The building could definitely do with a total refurb which lets the place down.

Had lunch there yesterday, drinks were reasonable. The table service is a nice touch, we had waygu burger and chicken salad in a taco. Both very tasty. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Lincoln

Been here quite a few times in the past and really enjoyed it. I ordered the nachos today and they were awful. Barely any cheese on them, quite cold, I didn't eat much of them. The waitress didn't do a check back until everyone had finished so it was too late to rectify it. They did give a discount on our bill which was nice of them. I'm just very dissapointed.

Tried to get served today, but got ignored at the bar not once, but twice people came in after me and got served before me! We just walked out and went elsewhere! Not great service :(

Just eaten at the Slug, well what can I say, the food was disgraceful, the kids meal wasn’t enough to feed a 2yr old, our little one will be hungry soon after leaving, no drink offered by the barmaid which was part of the meal for kids, the jelly finally arrived with no cutlery supplied for the little one.

The chicken wrap was cold with the skinny fries being scraps from the previous night I think, this was advised to the barmaid who really wasn’t bothered, absolutely disgusting service and food, definitely won’t come back again!!!!!

I called to book a table for last night on the day and was told I would be called back to confirm this, I never received a call so I paid a visit to check that my table was booked. I was told at this point that they had me down and it was fine. I then arrived at the time I had booked for, confused on where to go as there was no greeting staff for bookings so I found someone at the end of the bar and said I had a table booked for him to reply “Do you?!”. He then ran off and got a table from the back to set up for me (my table obviously was not booked, despite me checking twice) and seated me up against a radiator in the corner.

We then deliberated whether we had to go up to the bar to order food or not as we were not told. I went up and got served reasonably quickly. We wanted to try the “Tapas Tails” (the main reason I chose to eat here) but to my disappointment I was told they do not serve these on Saturdays as they take too much time, this was not stated anywhere on the menu.

I then ordered different cocktails for us which were nice and our food (the Meat Board). They had run out of the cured meat so replaced it with something else which was fine, but when the food arrived everything was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for hours, the quality of the food anyway wasn’t worth the money even if it would have been hot. I can now see that food probably isn’t a main priority on Saturday night as the majority of people were just drinking, but it was still very infuriating to have paid a fair amount of money to be let down on so many aspects.

We left as soon as we could so didn’t hang around to speak to management, but we were really not happy about paying for the food and service we received.

Had our works meal here and sadly it won't be happening again smelt of sick floors where that sticky we wiped our feet on the way out seats where mucky . That's just the start . Sadly we orderd burgers and extra sides of chicken skewers ect . Burger was okay very dry onions where just mush my main issue was the chicken skewers I ate one realising it was pink on inspection we found they was all the same .
