RWANDA BUMBOGO NATURAL ūüá∑ūüáľ
Y’all know we love Rwandan coffees here at SB, and we love clean and complex naturals as well. That makes this coffee a match made in heaven as it's our first ever natural process coffee from Rwanda...
The coffee comes from Bumbogo a washing station in the northern Gakenke region of Rwanda owned and operated by our friend Emmanuele Rusatira. This is the first year we have bought coffee from Ema but we've been lucky to visit a couple of times and the ...welcome at Bumbogo is like no other...
This lot is super tasty as espresso with red cherry, sweet liquorice and winegum flavours ūüćíūüć≠‚ėēÔłŹūüĎäūüŹľūüá∑ūüáľ

ūüö® Exceptional Coffee Alert ūüö®
Have you tried our new Peru single origin yet? It comes from our buddy Confesor Ticliahuanca’s farm in Chirinos in northern Peru and tastes like blackberry jam!
Confesor‚Äôs farm or ‚ÄėChacra‚Äô as they are known in Peru is very small, and his wet mill is little more than a hand pulping machine and a bag to ferment the coffee in.
... However with great varieties like Pache and Caturra, altitudes around 2000 metres, and a dedication to producing quality Confesor is turning out some of the most exceptional coffees we have come across recently. His coffees were consistently the best lots we cupped while we were in Peru and we are pumped to have them here in the UK now. ūü§ôūüŹľ‚ėēÔłŹ ūüáĶūüá™ #smallbatchontheroad

Corr blimey its cold out there today. Hows about a nice shot of the sun-kissed Ecuadorian countryside to warm your cockles.
This stunning place is home to our friends at Finca El Guayabal in Pichincha, Ecuador and we have their delicious coffee back in the house for a third year.
Arriving in our cafes today and online right now, El Guayabal is a classic Ecuador with juicy plum and damson flavours that makes a lovely fruit filled filter coffee. ūüĎäūüŹľ‚ėēÔłŹ ūüá™ūüá®

Quality Control
The start of a new year means the start of a fresh harvest cycle in the coffee growing world.
We are anticipating arrivals from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil this month of coffees harvested in the latter part of 2018.
... Meanwhile Kenya and Ethiopia are bringing their current harvests toward their end and we will be making selections from these countries very soon to arrive in the UK in the spring.
And over in Central America the harvest season is reaching its peak at this very moment, with tons of ripe cherries hitting the wet mills. These coffees will be dried, rested, purchased in February and March and find their way to Brighton throughout the summer. And then it will be back to Rwanda, Burundi, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. ūüĒĄ ūüĆć #smallbatchontheroad

One of our favourite coffees of this year and every year, RWANDA BUTEMBO, hits the shelves today ūüá∑ūüáľ
This is the fourth year that Jean Bosco Kubwimana has been processing coffee at Butembo on the shores of beautiful Lake Kivu and we have purchased all of his specialty production every year since he built the station.
Butembo has become one of our flagship and keystone coffees making up a large component of our Goldstone Espresso blend as well as a single origin release (we s...elect the best single lot each year to be milled separately and shipped in vac packs for this)
It’s a real pleasure to see Butembo grow and develop and for us to grow our business with Bosco every year as our demand and his production increases.
This year Bosco and Jean Claude, the QC manager have started to ferment their coffee underwater and we think it’s had a noticeable effect on the cup with way more sweet citrus acidity and complexity in the cup.
Availble now instore, online and for wholesale. Get involved, this coffee rocks! ūü§ôūüŹľūüá∑ūüáľ‚ėēÔłŹ @ Nyamasheke
