At SOTE we have so many students who are working towards gaining a place at top leading Performing Arts Colleges.
The Arts Educational Schools London is one of the leading Colleges in the UK.
We have a wonderful relationship with Arts Ed, each year their OUTREACH department come into our School and deliver workshops giving our students an insight to their training.
... Over the summer we had many students take part on their summer schools, some were offered scholarships to attend.
Well done Harry, Joseph, Issy and Callum who can be seen on the photographs at Arts Ed.
We have Stacy Cornes and Ben McSkimming who have just began their 2nd year at Arts on the Musical Theatre Course.
And well done to Olivia Hibbert who has just graduated and started rehearsals for Motown the Musical No. 1 UK Tour.
Each year thousands of hopefuls audition at Arts Ed with only 48 places for each year group on the MT course.
Over the next few weeks we will be sharing our connections with each leading college and also which students have successfully gained a place to train at them from SOTE.

So thrilled that two School of Theatre Excellence students are going to be joining the UK tour of Motown The Musical. We were looking back through old footage and found their 1st public perforances, spookily they both sang the same song!

Double celebrations for SOTE today with the announcement of the cast of the tour of Motown The Musical. Huge congratulations to SOTE student Olivia Hibbert who on graduating from Arts Educational Schools London, will begin her professional career playing one of the Supremes and understudying Diana Ross. Also to Joshua Vaughan who will be playing the roles of Young Berry Gordy/Michael Jackson & Stevie Wonder. They have a busy year ahead with the tour opening at The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham and continuing around the UK. We can't wait to watch you both in the show.

Well done to students Issy and Harry who spent a week at The Arts Educational Schools London.
Issy spent the week on the Musical Theatre Experience week and absolutely loved it. Issy will be auditioning for Drama Schools this year.
Harry won a scholarship from The Stage and spent a week with the Acting School. Well done Harry and again also had a great time.

WELL DONE JONAH you were fantastic in High School Musical this week playing Zeke. Congratulations to all involvd at Brighton Theatre Group a great production. Wishing you all a great last day today.
Jonah will be appearing in Peter Pan the Arena Spectacular this Christmas opening in Belfast then performing in Manchester and Leeds, Jonah will be joining other SOTE students as we are providing over 20 16 years and over for both Peter Pan and Elf.

Had a lovely day at Brighton school today. Nearly feeling back to normal.
We had Joshua Edge and Kurran Dhand our Foundation boys from last year pop in as they have scholarship auditions tomorrow for Brighton Academy.

It's incredibly hot today, and I am so proud of our Brighton Juniour Group's work today.
Thay look great in Ballet, learnt 'Little Red Riding Hoods' song from 'Into the Woods' in Choral with out any words in front of them.
Then in Tap looking great with time steps and breaks.
... Still working hard after Tap they went into Jazz and our now finishing of with Acting.
Our Juniour Group train on Saturday's from 11.00-3.30 our Muaical Theatre Programme consists of Musical Theatre Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Choral Singing and Acting. Everything is covered in one day.

Here is our incredibly talented boy Ben William(Ben Tanner) wishing everyone a Happy Handstand Day.
Ben was a SOTE Sunday Student and then was an original student on our first year of our Foundation Course where we had 19 Drama School offers that year. Ben is coming to the end of his first year with other original Foundation student Danielle Nail at the prestige Bird College.
Our second year of Fondation finished in April.
... Across the board at SOTE this year we have already hit 39 mark for offers at Drama Schools from SOTE SCHOOLS
We are thrilled this year we have 18 students who will be training with us full time from 6th August. An exciting 3rd year ahead.

We are thrilled we now have had 39 Drama School offers across the board at SOTE FOUNDATION and SOTE SUNDAY.
WE CANNOT WAIT! Over the next couple of years as our older group in Brighton are coming to the right age to start looking at their journeys for Drama Schools, we are thrilled Brighton student Jonah is about to finish his GCSE'S and this Christmas has been cast as a Pro Dancer in Peter Pan the Arena Tour alongside 20 other SOTE students over the age of 16.
We are thr...illed Brighton older students will be receiving the same opportunities as they come to the right age.
Peter Pan will open in Belfast, then tour Manchester and Leeds what an experience SOTE is able to offer to our over 16's.
Stephanie Goodall has just been offered the 3 year Degree Course at Performers College which was Steph’s first choice of College.
Sunday student and Foundation student Alice Grove has also just been offered a place on the Drama and Applied Theatre Course at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Alice is still waiting on one more offer so hopefully we should find out very soon.
We are thrilled that we have 18 full time students starting on our Foundation Course in August. Some have turned down places at other colleges to train with us.
Very exciting times for all schools.

As you all know I have been very ill in Hospital and finally got out on Thursday.
I just want to say a massive thank you to parents and students for their concern, love and support. I will be back in Brighton next week.
This really brought a tear to my eye our cheeky Junior monster group did a video for me of songs, some they have not even touched since Autumn term but still remember them. The cheeky monsters also send me up very well.
... I'm very proud of you all and think the world of you and cannot wait to see you next week.

Is your child SERIOUS about MUSICAL THEATRE TRAINING? Then we have a FREE TASTER on Saturday. At SOTE all our students train in Musical Theatre Dance. Many coming with no experience whatsoever. Just a natural talent and wanting to learn.
SOTE offers way more than your typical 3 hour session which many of students have come from as they realise it is not enough. Our students train for 5 hours solid on a Sunday, what is also great about SOTE is that everything is covered in one... day and the students take it very seriously and have fun at the same time.
I believe the sucess of the schools is the dedication of our incredible teachers as well as our incredibly talented students who want to thrive and come in each week to learn with dedication. Both Brighton, Birmingham and Foundation Schools are very special to Marcus and I and we cant wait to see what next year successes we have. They work really hard and love both the process and the result. It's excellent preparation for a life in performance but equally important to build resilience and confidence for life in general. My son has been with SOTE since it started in Brighton and we all think it's fantastic!

My daughter attended a Summer School with SOTE and came out every day raving about her experience. She had started to lose confidence in her own ability to sing at the vulnerable age of 12...it was simply fantastic to hear her singing around the house again. It was a no brainer to sign up for the regular lessons that she has continued to enjoy and thrive in. In a short space of time, she has performed at the Hilton Metropole, participated in a Chicago workshop, regularly taken a ballet class, had 1 to 1 singing sessions, been seen by a casting director for BFG and much more. Totally recommend and good luck one and all for the Christmas performance on the 13th December...looking forward to it.

My daughter Mia attended the trial on Saturday and she absolutely loved it. I got the chance to watch and was very impressed with the teachers, they work the kids hard and are great at what they do. It's safe to say she will be returning and is very excited.

My Daughter had a fantastic time at the Easter workshop at the marina studios . It was lovely to see how much work the kids done in just 3 days they were ALL amazing. Sophie cannot wait to work with you all again we will see you on the 26th April for the open day . Thank you once again.
