Shawn Baumber struck the opening tee shot of the PGA National Pro -Am / Lombard Trophy QR at Thetford today . Nerves didnŌĆÖt get the better of Shawn as his tee shot pitched on the green and just rolled onto the fringe - pin high . Nice playing Shawn . Members & visitors arriving from the north via A153 will currently be met by misleading signs. Please take care. The road to South Kyme is not closed .. just no through traffic however you may have difficulty accessing the B1395 as cones are blocking the road . This was reported to TMS at 7:30 . Hopefully more appropriate signs will be put in place soon.

Sign suggests road between South Kyme and A-17 / Heckington will be closed tomorrow.

What a fantastic course. Played today loved it. Has its challenges. Greens are perfect!

SKGC is one of the nicest courses I've played. Well maintained and there are always subtle changes going on, to make the course more challenging. Good for all abilities. All the staff are very friendly, always up for a chat. Nice food and drink available, in a welcoming, well looked after clubhouse.

Highly recommend a visit.

Played there yesterday the course was in fantastic condition you wouldn't have know we had heavy rain for most of the week bar / kitchen staff went out of there way to get us some food even though they had started to shut the kitchen down thanks again to everyone

One of the nicest, well kept, friendly, picturesque, relaxing and value for money courses I have ever played... Well worth the spur-of-the-moment trip over. So much so that I even ended up becoming a member.



The course is open enough to feel comfortable to use the driver off most tees, yet challenging enough to make a fool of you if you don't pay attention to the wind and the layout.



All in all, brilliant... 5 stars and thank you to Sue and Geoff for taking me out for my first round..

Is call this place 'a little gem' very friendly atmosphere and welcoming! Course in great condition and greens very receptive! Great food and reasonable price! Will definitely recommend to my club for an away day!

I recently played South Kyme golf course for a charitable event. The course was in fantastic conditional and the hospitality was excellent. I could not recommend the course anymore highly.

Great golf course and well maintained greens, the juniors is great and I really appreciate the effort that everyone goes to to sort it all out. I'm pretty sure all the juniors would recommend the chicken burger to anyone an just keep it up :)

Friendly and relaxed. Great course which has much improved over the years, a good one for beginners or more experienced golfers and especially difficult when windy.

Fantastic hospitality and a very nice course indeed at a great price. I had mentioned about myself and 2 colleagues looking at memberships being new to the area and Peter could not be anymore helpful with inviting us down to have a look at the course. We left there yesterday all 3 of us saying to each other we will be returning in the next week to join as members.

Fantastic course and very friendly staff. My enquiries were answered quickly through Facebook and Pete was more than helpful with any info I needed.

Excellent Golf Club. Friendly members and Staff. Lovely Clubhouse. Enjoyed the Course which was well maintained. I will go back.
