We went for a family meal, and what a nice evening. The server was very friendly and polite (emma). I ordered the steak and I can honestly say I've never tasted one nicer than this. Perfectly cooked! Great value and everyone is so lovely. No issues, will deffinatley be returning again!

Came in last week (3 adults 4 kids) to try out the new menu and see the new refurb and we was all impressed... was told upon ordering there would be a 30 mins wait and we was happy to wait ... received our food pretty quick.. service at the bar was excellent ordering was quick,staff were extremely welcoming and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food (even my fussy kids) defiantly be back again.

Booked a table for 20 + highcharis for my daughters birthday they reserved a corner for us which was nice of them as I wasn't sure if they'd just put a few tables together at the back. The staff we friendly and helpful. They got food out as quick as they food everyone enjoyed their meal. A really good time was had by all :) thank you

Been tonight for Mother’s Day meal and it was packed to the rafters. 45 minute wait for food but didn’t mind that as we were made aware at time of ordering, starters came within 20 mins and meals followed shortly after. All great, a mixture of meals off the menu and pizzas too and all came together. 4th visit since the latest refurb and can’t complain about anything from any visit. Will be back at weekend I’m sure. Thanks for a lovely Mother’s Day meal.

We were there Easter Saturday for lunch. It was good they had a slime making class on for the younger children..altho it did cost £5 to participate...maybe a little steep ..but the kids did enjoy it. We had the kids menu...and 2 salads off the lighter bite menu...which were well presented and tasty...as the service was quick and efficient..I would eat there again..

Walked out to get food elsewhere. Staffing issue. However having read the recent reviews it seems the place has gone down hill and I’m glad we went elswherr

Hmm where do i start, thought it would be rammed as the car park was nearly full, usually a good sign, when we got in it was nearly empty, where is everybody? Served reasonably quickly by the sole bar chap, pedigree was a bit bottom endy but i drank it, we'll see later if that has implications. Food was ages to come out, couldn't check timings as card receipt had wrong time set! Food was exactly as Marston's elsewhere which is why we chose here (we love Marston's btw) but the peas on the pies were dried out from being too long on the pass. Nice touch that Hannah had the kids do the signs in the loos and the pizza oven area, praps we won't come back here but it won't put us off Marston's pubs. Didn't bother with puddings just wanted to go home

Just been for birthday tea ,thought £7.45 was good price for burger ,it was literally burger and 8 chips,I complained along with others ,and brought out few extra chips ,I asked if could have coleslaw as plate was bare and took 50p off me ! The lady who served said had lot of complaints on new menu ,thing is menu looks fantastic ,just let down on the plate! doesn't cost much for salad garnish ,id put a pic on but it doesn't allow ,

Had a meal tonight 16/3/18 , mixed grill ,wasn’t good ,the chips were cold as was the meat too and the egg was like rubber ,no one asked if we were ok , my wife’s mash was smash and also cold and the chicken was dry , it’s ok for a drink but that’s about it ,so we won’t be eating there again

Burgers were very dry like they had been stud under a hot stand for 10 min and the kids meal came last for the price you pay expected a lot more

Waited that long for food and it wasn’t hot,burger bun that hard smashed into pieces in hand inedible,as in the menu half a ROAST chicken was half a DEEP FRIED chicken,so much for my allergens when advertising and cooking the wrong stuff

Very poor. I had a cheese and onion sandwich which was disgraceful for the money... stale thin bread with hardly any filling and the cheese had been left out to sweat. Chicken and bacon club sandwich again was dry and pretty much inedible and my grandsons chicken dippers and chips looked and tasted like they had been over cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Safe to say we will not return.

Service was terrible, our order was completely wrong, all our food came at different times so we couldn’t enjoy a nice family meal together on Mother’s Day. I would not recommend coming here.

Walked out to get food elsewhere. Staffing issue. However having read the recent reviews it seems the place has gone down hill and I’m glad we went elswherr

Hmm where do i start, thought it would be rammed as the car park was nearly full, usually a good sign, when we got in it was nearly empty, where is everybody? Served reasonably quickly by the sole bar chap, pedigree was a bit bottom endy but i drank it, we'll see later if that has implications. Food was ages to come out, couldn't check timings as card receipt had wrong time set! Food was exactly as Marston's elsewhere which is why we chose here (we love Marston's btw) but the peas on the pies were dried out from being too long on the pass. Nice touch that Hannah had the kids do the signs in the loos and the pizza oven area, praps we won't come back here but it won't put us off Marston's pubs. Didn't bother with puddings just wanted to go home

Had to wait quite a while for food and pudding and it didn’t look that busy. Food was ok apart from the big black, I don’t even know what it was! Unless it was very over cooked curly fries. Staff though were lovely and friendly so would go back as previous visit was good.

Disappointed to say the least. Fairy quiet Sunday so expected good service. Waited for our food for just under an hour, was never asked if food was ok. Empty glasses and plates left on table for about 30mins after we finished, waiter came past our table a number of times but never cleared it! Also got dessert order wrong! Definitely won’t be re-visiting.

Thought we’d try out after the remodel but have to say the food is just as bad as it’s always been was hoping it would have improved but alas it has not!! The menu looks great though, ideal pub food shame about the presentation and the actual taste of the food!!

I don’t actually understand the idea of the massive pizza oven in the middle of the pub either ?!! only plus side was it had a few gin selections.

Such a shame will definitely not recommend anyone eating here!

Microwaved to death. Tasteless. I was hoping now it’s had another refurb the food would be better. Don’t think I’ll be eating here again. Nicely kitted out ie the decor etc just the food let’s it down

Just been for birthday tea ,thought £7.45 was good price for burger ,it was literally burger and 8 chips,I complained along with others ,and brought out few extra chips ,I asked if could have coleslaw as plate was bare and took 50p off me ! The lady who served said had lot of complaints on new menu ,thing is menu looks fantastic ,just let down on the plate! doesn't cost much for salad garnish ,id put a pic on but it doesn't allow ,

Had a meal tonight 16/3/18 , mixed grill ,wasn’t good ,the chips were cold as was the meat too and the egg was like rubber ,no one asked if we were ok , my wife’s mash was smash and also cold and the chicken was dry , it’s ok for a drink but that’s about it ,so we won’t be eating there again

Burgers were very dry like they had been stud under a hot stand for 10 min and the kids meal came last for the price you pay expected a lot more

Waited that long for food and it wasn’t hot,burger bun that hard smashed into pieces in hand inedible,as in the menu half a ROAST chicken was half a DEEP FRIED chicken,so much for my allergens when advertising and cooking the wrong stuff

Very poor. I had a cheese and onion sandwich which was disgraceful for the money... stale thin bread with hardly any filling and the cheese had been left out to sweat. Chicken and bacon club sandwich again was dry and pretty much inedible and my grandsons chicken dippers and chips looked and tasted like they had been over cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Safe to say we will not return.

Service was terrible, our order was completely wrong, all our food came at different times so we couldn’t enjoy a nice family meal together on Mother’s Day. I would not recommend coming here.

Just ordered a Sunday dinner it was terrible was served pre packed beef no tast to anything on the plate will never go back again horrible
