been here a few times to eat and to drink, eva so friendly staff, lovely atmos, cool decor with a variety of seating arrangements including a booth...cocktails and gins r excellent as is always the food. good value. oh and not normally one for desserts but get the assiette of.....sublime!

Went to spider and fly for first time this weekend. Food really was fantastic and couldn't ask for better service. So impressed with this place will definitely be back for another visit!

Went on Xmas eve very busy as you can imagine but food was lovely and hot and staff were friendly and nice would recommend this place x

Visited yesterday for an Easter and birthday meal and Got to admit, the food is the best in Carlisle. I had the lamb burger, which was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic.

Took my mum for lunch, such a lovely atmosphere, decor and staff

Great variety on the menu, food was excellent, a little treasure in Stanwix, will definitely be back to work my way through the menu!

Smashing little place although even on a Wednesday night it got busy and there was only one guy serving, poor guy was rushed off his feet but he did well. Fantastic food in a great setting. Will go again.

Excellent environment to oil oneself. Took my mam out tonight and the food was sublime. So much so you find yourself just talking about what you’re eating rather than catching up! Love the decor,

; the bar feels like your in a lovely kitchen in a big country house. Also, I’ve read through the comments on here and can’t believe nobody has mentioned how cool the toilets are. The toilets are a small terraced Street, with each toilet being behind a classic front door and baring it’s own design within. Dead smart.

Ate here a number of times now and always a great standard of food, with a few specials available. Service great with friendly staff. Some of the wines could be cooler....but the white I had on Wednesday was perfect! 5 stars
