Light up a Life At ST Botolphs church this Saturday 15th December 2-6pm. It's a time when we feel we are supposed to celebrate hope, joy and peace, and yet a time that can also be full of depression, sadness and grief. Light up a Life offers special recognition of the struggles that many people face during this season. It's a sombre tone also testifies to the struggles of Mary, Joseph and Jesus that are often overlooked. By offering this space we can acknowledge the struggl...es that we all face while providing a safe place of rest, comfort and healing. Christmas can be a painful time for some, it may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died, it may be a time that has always been difficult. The anguish of the death of a loved one can make us feel alone in the midst of celebrating and joy. St Botolphs pastoral assistant some of the care team and Rev John , invites you to a safe space, we will be there to support you, light a candle, write a message to put on our prayer tree, sit quietly, soft music in the background, but most of all this is your time to remember your loved ones. Refreshments are available, mince pies and chocolates. Always remember that God knows your pain and loves you unconditionally. God bless you all and hope you have a peaceful Christmas.
