After exploring the Vegetables we then tasted them!! We tried some pumpkin soup and loved it .. Alison has been crowned soup queen! The children all tried some of the soup and veggies and decided on a thumbs up for : рҹ‘ҚрҹҸҪ Pumpkin soup рҹ‘ҚрҹҸҪ carrots ... рҹ‘ҚрҹҸҪ sweetcorn рҹ‘ҚрҹҸҪ potatoes But a thumbs down for : рҹ‘ҺрҹҸ» Brussel sprouts ... Maybe we'll try some gravy with them next time!

This week we have been exploring Pumpkins and Squashes... the children explored them as a whole in the 'farm,' they cut them open and explored the insides, we made 'soups, potions and cakes' in the mud kitchen and we even turned them into boats and discussed if they would sink or float. The children have been so inquisitive about the vegetables and have been so involved in wanting to find out all about the Pumpkins and squashes. рҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғр ҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғрҹҺғр ҹҺғ

HUGE THANK YOU! To all of our families that donated to our Harvest festival! Sr Cecilia collected all of this on Friday and she was overwhelmed with the generosity. This will be distributed amongst families that need that little bit of extra help during some tough times.

Today we had two very special visitors. Sister Stephanie and Sister Cecilia popped in to Playgroup to tell us all a little about Harvest and how all the kind donations that our families have given will go to families that need it. We sang our Harvest songs such as Big Red Combine Harvester and Whole World in his hands. What a special morning we had a Playgroup this morning.
Last day for donations is Tomorrow, however the food is getting picked up Friday afternoon so last mi...nute drop offs will be appreciated.

Here's a snap shot of a few of the things we have all been up to this week! The children are learning and exploring with such curiosity, passion and are gaining beneficial skills and knowledge that will enable them along their learning journey. What lovely little explorers!!

The children are getting so good at learning to put the wetsuits on themselves .. we even had time to splash in some puddles! рҹҢӮвҳӮпёҸвҳ”пёҸрҹ’Ұрҹ’ҰвқӨпёҸвқӨпёҸ

BIG RED COMBINE HARVESTER рҹҺ¶ The children have been busy making their very own combine harvester. CC and HM had a trial run of pretending to drive it as we were finishing making the last side.
We have been practising our harvest songs ready for Sister Stephanie and Sister Cecilia visiting.

On Friday we explored some Pumpkins! J.K - " wow! Look!" E.A - " it's super hard, oops" HMc- " its so slimmeeeeyyyyyyy" C.C - " it's a big one, it feels so slimey."
... Last week We went 'shopping'.. we collected lots of wonderful autumny bits for our mud kitchen ! It's all stocked up now ready for : " A yummy tub of soup." " some toast." " chocolate cake with ice cream"

Who knew what fun we could have with a cardboard box! E.C wanted to make a tent but it had to be a rainbow рҹҢҲ one. We had a lovely discussion about what colours are in the rainbow and then set to work, we did a freestyle abstract masterpiece on the opposite side. E.C- " we need to put lots of sparkles on it to make it a sparkly rainbow." J.H- " I mixed all of the colours of the rainbow and it made black! What we got up to last week!
Our Halloween salon is open for appointments, our first customer was Mickey Mouse, she was booked in for a short back and sides. H.Mc said 'This hair is long and I'm going to make it short.' A.C said 'it's hard work with all this chopping'... B.D said ' we have to be careful with scissors these are sharp, snip, snip." O.S Said " its only boys that get their hair cut not girls, she looks beautiful now."

рҹҘңрҹҘҹрҹ§ҖрҹҘ–рҹҘ•рҹҢҪрҹҚ“October is the month we think about the Harvest festival. рҹҘңрҹҚҸрҹҘЁрҹҘ–рҹҚӢрҹҚүрҹҚ’ Please can we ask all of our friends and Parents of Playgroup to donate some food stuffs for us to take to the church and offer it to those that need it. We will be collecting items from now until Thursday 18th October .. please drop them in the box in the foyer! Sister Stephanie and Sister Cecilia will be popping in on Wednesday 17th to talk to us about Harvest and introduce themselves to all of the children .. it really is a treat when they come to visit.

My two oldest have both attended St. Brendans playgroup and both have loved it! The girls are a fantastic team and you can see how much they love the job!

My son loved being at this nursery, the girls brought him out of his shell so much and he wanted to go every day!

I'll defiantly try put my little girl in this play group when the time comes

My little boy loves nursery. He cannot wait to get to school and play. Lots of lovely activities and the team of ladies are so caring and kind.

My daughter Holly loves this place and all the ladies there sheshe has a great relationship with them and we know she is safe and having a great time in a great place with lovely people cannot sat a bad thing about the lace excellent!
