St James is a friendly tennis club that welcomes players of all ages and abilities.
We are a members only club but do offer opportunities for non members
St. James Tennis Club Grimsby Description
We offer carpet and hard court surfaces and a club house with bar. Coaching is available.
We always welcome any new prospective members whether you like to play competitive or social tennis. Matches are played throughout the year whether they are social box ladders, club tournaments, Ladies Days, Winter Leagues, Aegon and Lincolnshire leagues, Veterans etc.

Monday afternoon 2. - 4 pm
Tuesday morning 10 – 12 pm
Wednesday ladies coffee morning 10 - 12pm.
Play and pay (£3. 50 non- members)
Friday morning 10 – 12 pm
Saturday afternoon 2 – 4 pm
Membership fees:
Full adult member £100
Full adult out of town member (15 + miles) £80
Junior membership
Age 2-8 £25
Age 8-18 £50
Family membership (up to 2 adults and 2 children) £120

We have too many juniors playing this weekend to individually name them all! So to try and keep this brief good luck to our Red B away at Boston, Red A at home v Louth, Green Team home v Eastgate, Girls U14 home v Boston all playing today. And tomorrow Orange Team home v Louth, U12 Boys away at Grantham and U14 Boys home v Boston. I’m exhausted just listing it!! Good luck everyone 🎾

For all our regular attendees junior coaching is at the normal time BUT all sessions will be held at the Tennis Club NOT at the Grimsby Institute Sports Hall. Our ladies champ Jane Hunter has led the England 🏴 50s ladies team to victory this weekend in the 4 Nations. A truly fantastic achievement. Congratulations Jane and to the rest of the team 🏆🍾🎾
Loads going on with our juniors at the moment. Congratulations to Jacob, Max and Annabel who respectively won the Red event, placed 3rd in the Orange event and 2nd in the Green event at Horncastle on Saturday. Well done! Congratulations as well to Jamie who has just found out he has been selected for the under 10 county team for the County Cup at Eastgate later this month. Ezra and Tilly are also in action attending Lincolnshire county training squads. Great work everyone 🎾

This year to encourage prompt payment we are offering a discount for all memberships paid, with a completed membership form returned, before the 1st June. You can still benefit from the discount if you want to pay by monthly standing order, just make sure you return your form and make the first monthly payment for the correct amount before 1st June. St James Tennis Club offers junior group coaching for ages 3 and over! Tennis is a great way to develop children’s coordination as well as giving them an all round workout. Group sessions also help youngsters to develop their social skills and boost their confidence. Our final post to celebrate a great night for St James at the Lindum Lincolnshire Tennis Awards. A huge congratulations to Jane Hunter our ladies champion who scooped the ‘Best Overall Performance - Seniors’ award. A special mention for our Head Coach Mark Henry too who couldn’t make the awards this evening but received a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Coaches Award.
