We have just got back from a one night Spa break celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Ok, it’s not cheap but worth every penny. The staff are fantastic, not over powering, but there if they are needed. The massage was fantastic, I had the Swedish full body and it was very relaxing. The room was fine, over looking the fields and croquet lawn. The evening meal was superb, great service and great wine. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, from full cooked to continental. What really makes it is the location, acres to walk round and not see anybody! Great to walk off evening dinner. The place isn’t perfect, some of the decor looks a little tired, but for me personally that adds to the country house feel, not like some modern sterile hotels. The little touch of a Anniversary card hand written and two bone china cups wrapped in tissue was a lovely thought, and little petit fours with happy anniversary written in chocolate around the serving plate. Overall I would give it a nine and would certainly come back in the future!

We came on Sunday for A spa afternoon. We had a wonderful treatment and then went on to the hotel for a swim. The facilities were fantastic. We then had afternoon tea which was delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and we can’t wait to come back!! Thank you for a lovely time.

User

So relaxing if you have taken as much as you can handle you can re charge your body too! Well worth the visit I will be coming back

User

Played golf there on 9th June course and greens were in fantastic condition. When we arrived there and headed for the club house and saw that it was a thatched roof made it for me the only thing that let's it down was the club shop not a lot there but all in all what a fantastic place will definitely be going back

My partner & I have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay for valentines. We stayed in a manor room (Burley) with stunning views of the grounds. The room was cosy, spacious & the daily complimentary sloe Gin was the icing on the cake. From the moment of our arrival to the time of check out we felt like royalty with impeccable staff, breath taking views, exquisite food and a calm and romantic atmosphere.

We dined in both the restaurant and the lounge sampling some outstanding cocktails that will be very difficult to beat in taste & flavor. We also arranged a private archery session whilst on our stay. Our tutor Richard was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his craft and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this experience to anyone.

A special mention has to go to our server Fabio who deserves an award for his outstanding customer service. Attentive without intruding. We could want for nothing whilst being served by Fabio. The other members of staff were equally as charming and attentive at all times. We also took a dip in the indoor pool & made use of the spa facilities which were similarly tranquil & relaxing. Being in such an opulant historic building, never did we once feel intrusive and were made to feel like welcomed family, free to explore as we pleased. The grounds were breath taking and we were allowed the use of house bicycles to ride around and explore.

Breakfast was plentiful & extremely tasty with our coffee & juices being constantly topped up without request.

6 stars would not be enough for this magical, romantic & historic stay.

We shall definitely be returning asap.

Loved the room we stayed in (The Wedgewood room ) and such a comfy bed had the best night sleep in years, loved all the facilities they had that we could use, great breakfast, great place to stay.

User

I've just had a wonderful day here celebrating my birthday with my family. Beautiful surroundings, a great afternoon tea, very welcoming staff who really looked after us. Thank you very much.

User

I rarely write reviews but felt i had to following my visit here with my lady for her birthday treat. Accommodating was an understatement from the minute we arrived until we left the staff there were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Even handwriting and hand delivering a birthday card for her which was a nice touch (thank you Andrew). The food was delicious and very well presented including pre dinner canapes and they know how to knock up a good Gin cocktail. Spa treatments were lovely and as hoped were very relaxing. Seen a few reviews about rushing around and waiting for buggies but if you think about your day you can avoid a lot of what they may have experienced. It s a short but lovely walk through the gardens to the pavilion and our buggy ride from the spa was made even more enjoyable by our driver who sadly I've forgotten her name but she was absolutely fantastic, funny and personable. Complimentary sloe gin in our room......nice touch. And our "buggy driver" even took time to take pictures of us before we left. Needless to say we will be going back. Beautiful surroundings with staff that make you feel relaxed and welcome.

User

I came for the miniature railway open day but couldn't resist having a look around the hotel and gardens - one word, stunning. It's a bit above my budget but would make a lovely destination for a classic car run, if a special deal could be done.

User

Had a wonderful time yesterday having afternoon tea for my 40th birthday. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The venue, setting and room we were in were all beautiful. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion

User

Had a lovely pamper day yesterday fir valentines day with my husband cannot fault the day lovely swim and sauna, lunch in golf club and treatments in afternoin what more could you ask for, would definately recommend

User

Family and friends stayed on Fri for spa treatment (Lucy was my wonderful massage therapist with magic hands!) , lunch, dinner and breakfast. Had a relaxing swim, sauna and my daughter had a wonderful session in the gym. Food was sublime, the room beautiful with the most sumptuous bed and pillows... Worth every penny...thank you to all the staff for your wonderful attention and service.

User

Beautiful venue for a charity event, lovely room with stunning view. Attentive staff one of whom helped me pick up some parcels and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house which was very interesting. The food served to almost 200 guests on Saturday was delicious and considering the large number was piping hot! Thanks for a lovely stay!

User

Beautiful surroundings, outstanding service and staff and best afternoon Tea we’ve had , so much so we’ve booked again for September!

User

Amazing hotel and very friendly staff. With it also being dog friendly my wife is already planning our next visit with the dogs lol

User

Afternoon Tea to celebrate my 40th at Stapleford Park was amazing. I was taken aback by the beautiful setting, the fact that we had our own room, the fabulous customer service, especially from Andrew at Guest Services and the fabulous food. 7 of my friends all agreed and I highly recommend coming here for a special occassion as it will make it even more special. Thankyou

User

A wonderful birthday treat. Couldn't fault the room, the food or the service. All very warm and welcoming. Made to feel very special - all the staff were "briefed" and everyone wished me a happy birthday - including the lovely waitress that served our (outstanding) pre-dinner cocktails. We had a wonderful room - with a huge bed and a very special bathroom - I could have spent the whole night in the bath!!

I've travelled a lot and stayed in this grade of hotel for business so I do have some expectations. Stapleford Park exceeded these with lovely little touches in the room - like the spectacular Sloe Gin and the Birthday card.

The really impressive thing was how they kept the wedding reception utterly separate from the other guests. I was vaguely aware it was happening but it didn't swamp the hotel and we were able to enjoy our own "occasion" without feeling like we must defer to a wedding party - which is both wonderful and a real skill where hospitality is concerned.

All round - a huge treat and a lovely lovely stay. Thanks! :)

User

Lovely, had an indulgence day the spa. Fabulous salt scrub rub followed by a warm oil body massage. Lovely swim followed by coffee (paid extra) in the main house. Followed by a fabulous 2 course lunch which was part of the package. Shame that the golf club , where lunch is ,had a problem with the smoke/fire alarm going off. We sat in there for 10 minutes before it finally turned off, not good for my tinnitus. The staff were extremely apologetic to everyone up there and they knocked the price of our cup of teas of the menu. On the whole an exceptional day for £59.

User

Beautiful buildings and scenery with very attentive staff , but certainly not a relaxing spa day ! The pool was full of very noisy children ( we actually thought there were swimming lessons ) which as busy mums we were hope to relax by the pool - lunch was in another building although the food was most enjoyable ! Then to another building for treatments . We found all of the buildings really cold especially the treatment area where we had to keep our coats on ! Very disappointing !
