However, when Jonathan came round to our property we were surprised at the level of expertise and honesty we received. It is scary how little some of these agents offer a seller, and how much harder 'proper' sales progression teams have to work to keep the sale going. After exchanging on our property yesterday I wanted to leave a review on how pleased we were with Starkey and brown, Angie in particular. She always kept us informed and was brilliant with the chain chasing between the chain. I feel this helped push the exchange we needed before Christmas! all staff were friendly and polite and happy to help with any queries. As this was our first time buying this made a massive difference.......Thank you!

I’ve waited until receiving my deposit before posting this review. Now that my time dealing with Starkey and Brown Scunthorpe is over I can honestly say that it has been difficult. When I looked at the house I later rented I found a leak in the kitchen. When I went to sign the lease I was told by Aimee that it had been fixed or would be that day. I wouldn’t have signed the lese otherwise.

I didn’t move in for 10 days due to the state of the property. Every surface was covered with grease, cobwebs or dead flies. In that time I also discovered that the kitchen sink was leaking. On reporting this I was told that a maintenance guy would drop by and fix this along with the leak! The maintenance guy then never showed or phoned.

I complained in an email to Messrs Starkey and Brown in August about Aimee and some of the issues that I’d had. To date I’m still waiting on a reply. Aimee is extremely difficult to deal with so in the end I dealt with Kara and Zoe who are the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. Even then it was tempting to give lower as it took 4 weeks to get my deposit back due to them giving my old work email to the DPS. How nobody thought that with me moving 200 miles away that I may have left that job is beyond me!

Don't offer accompanied viewings if you can't be bothered. No wonder you haven't sold the very nice property we tried to view.

These may sound like obvious expectations from an estate agent but having had very little input from a previous agent in these areas, Starkey and Brown have done an excellent job! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Excellent estate agents everyone we dealt with in the Scunthorpe office was helpful and friendly. Thank you to Anita who dealt with the sale of our house she was brilliant we felt like we could ring her with any questions( and there was a lot as we had never sold a house before) she always got back to us quickly if she wasn't in her office when we called and made us feel at ease.

Debby and Angie of Starkey & Brown were clearly as enthusiastic about our purchase as we were. We were in an unusual position with only two houses in the chain but everything was done and dusted by them between November the 22nd and December the 12th. They always phoned back and they acted with speed. We were never left in the dark and to cap it off we got a Christmas card from the firm. We would use their services again without hesitation.

Debbie Negus who works at Starkey and Brown in the Lincoln office restored our faith in Estate Agents after we received a terrible service a very well known local Estate Agents. After the purchase of a house we liked fell through when I was 7 months pregnant, we popped in to Starkey and Brown on the off chance and met the wonderful Debbie Negus. She found us the perfect family house we were looking for and made sure we secured the purchase. Despite the other well known Estate Agents convincing us to use their in-house conveyancing team as they would be very efficient, it turned out they were more inefficient than a chocolate tea pot! Debbie managed to help us secure the purchase of the property after daily phone calls to and from the conveyancers and before our baby arrived (we completed 20 mins after baby was born!). I have no doubt without the professionalism and dedication that Debbie presented to us we would still be looking for our dream house. Cannot praise Starkey & Brown enough!! Being first time buyers everything was so daunting for us, however the help and guidance we have been given throughout the whole process has been amazing. First with Billie, she is such a lovely lady and helped us from the minute we walked into the Lincoln office. To be honest without her help we would have been utterly clueless.

Then once we progressed with the sale, Angie was there to help also. She regularly keeps in contact to see how things are going and makes sure we understand everything. I am so grateful for everyones help, after going to other estate agents and being disappointed and treated like children, it was a breath of fresh air to be treated with respect and kindness from all those involved in the purchase of our new home! Cannot fault Starkey & Brown. From beginning to end they were fabulous. Being first time buyers it was daunting and stressful but Debbie and Angie helped us every step of the way. The biggest help was Trevor who was amazing and again couldn't fault him. We went to another estate agents first who were dreadful, no customer service skills and the mortgage advisor gave us completely wrong information. Absolutely superb service, we put our house up for sale with starkey and brown in march and it sold in April. The staff were fantastic especially Angie who couldn't do enough for us and kept in contact throughout the sale. We Would highly recommend this company and will certainly be using them in the future. Very good and pleasant team of estate agents. Really quick at sorting the paperwork and getting the property and you in it sharpish. I would like to thank Aimee Murphy ,who dealt with me throughout all the process of moving into my place very pleasant lady and very polite and any issues that is needed she will attend to them sharpish, which is very hard to find these days with estate agents or landlords as some of them don't have the time or effort where as these people do.

Starkey & Brown have been good from the start. With a very long process from market to completion with a lot of ups and downs. Angie has been fantastic at keeping us informed and chasing for information and pushing the sale through. Without Angie in our corner who knows when we would have moved. She has always gone the extra mile with our sale. Great service.

After exchanging on our property yesterday I wanted to leave a review on how pleased we were with Starkey and brown, Angie in particular. She always kept us informed and was brilliant with the chain chasing between the chain. I feel this helped push the exchange we needed before Christmas! all staff were friendly and polite and happy to help with any queries. As this was our first time buying this made a massive difference.......Thank you!

I’ve waited until receiving my deposit before posting this review. Now that my time dealing with Starkey and Brown Scunthorpe is over I can honestly say that it has been difficult. When I looked at the house I later rented I found a leak in the kitchen. When I went to sign the lease I was told by Aimee that it had been fixed or would be that day. I wouldn’t have signed the lese otherwise.

I didn’t move in for 10 days due to the state of the property. Every surface was covered with grease, cobwebs or dead flies. In that time I also discovered that the kitchen sink was leaking. On reporting this I was told that a maintenance guy would drop by and fix this along with the leak! The maintenance guy then never showed or phoned.

I complained in an email to Messrs Starkey and Brown in August about Aimee and some of the issues that I’d had. To date I’m still waiting on a reply. Aimee is extremely difficult to deal with so in the end I dealt with Kara and Zoe who are the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. Even then it was tempting to give lower as it took 4 weeks to get my deposit back due to them giving my old work email to the DPS. How nobody thought that with me moving 200 miles away that I may have left that job is beyond me!

Don't offer accompanied viewings if you can't be bothered. No wonder you haven't sold the very nice property we tried to view.
