We had a pizza making party today for my son's 8th birthday. WOW!! Absolutely amazing from the minute we walked through the door! Our party host Annie couldn't do enough for us. The kids loved every second. Making their own pizzas (from scratch!) And being able to go behind the pizza making area where everything is prepped and cooked! Smiles all around � 100% recommend for kids parties!! We will be back �

Sat 28th October ,Called in after a long day from a hockey tournament, never noticed the place befor, around 6.30 pm , want too busy, food was great , lovely carvery, kids pizzas looked very nice and must have been as all 3 cleared the plates, staff was very friendly especially the chap on the carvery, there was a kids pumpkin carving going on , staff was helping kids and the kids loved it , was suprised that it was free too , been to a few places in my time and never add a freebie, would deffently go back there

My six year old daughter and I have just tried the bubblegum freakshake and the brownie freakshake. They were amazing!!! We would definitely recommend anyone with a sweet tooth to give them a try � xx

Just come back from a Mother’s Day meal. Absolutely loved it food was lovely and fresh and the staff were very helpful and polite. Will certainly be back

Came in this morning for breakfast and my nana didn’t like the eggs that was on offer so asked the chef if he could do a poached egg for her and he was more than happy to do it! Couldn’t fault them at all this morning, will definitely be returning!

As somebody who has had the real deal over in Florence, Italy, that is one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. I have already recommended it to all of my friends and the new menu will hopefully bring more mouth watering dishes for us all to enjoy. Not only good food but a solid, hard working and very happy team who seem to both value and enjoy their jobs. This place is on the up and I strongly recommend you try it without hesitation ��

Regarding to our last visit tonight. We have been very disappointed. We really liked this place but not today and if it will be like this in the future you will lose many customers. Today already, we did see a lot of customers complaining. The staff's excuse was that they are very busy but actually they weren't that busy. Just some of the staff need to start working rather then being just lazy and messing around.

The guy at the salad bar was shouting and singing loudly (even I had to go tell him to stop). Whilst he wasn't doing as much he could've been filling the trays with food (just tomatoes, crispy bread and crispy onion).



From the kitchen we could smell burned food many times. Im not surprised because there was also music coming from the kitchen, was like from disco club (very loud).

We were waiting for food a long, long time and when we got it, we had been very disappointed again becouse the burger, which my son ordered was missing things like onion rings, lettuce, tomatoes and bbq sauce .When we told them they said unfortunately we run out. Then please let us know!!!!!-we are not idiots ok? We could choose something different then. I have had experiences in workplaces such as these and i know how it is when it is busy so stop telling me sh*t.

Just two girls were busy today. I can say just good words about them. Shame i don't know their names but they were working hard (we could see it)

Perhaps if I had ordered a pizza my opinion would be different. I ordered the Stetson burger and it was awful. The burger, although plump, tasted disgusting and certainly wasn’t good quality beef. I ate a quarter of the 2 burgers, the bun and cheese & bacon. The salad bar was very messy the coleslaw was tasteless. The chips were quite good. The other dish ordered was the duck in hoisin sauce wrap. The wrap was an 8”, fat tortilla stuffed with over cooked duck etc. The wrap was too chewy so nearly all of it was left. Total waste of £17 or so.

Served by a very pleasant girl but it was clear the staff were disgruntled with their lot as they were moaning to each other about their shift pattern.

Won’t be going there again unless they really upped their game.

I've visited the Gapp twice now and both times it has been a very disappointing experience. On the last visit we had over an hour wait for a starter, the tables were unclean, food was poorly cooked and the entire pub was horribly short staffed. Speaking of which, you get the impression that the staff (all 6 of them) were really up against it without any support from the owners of this chain.



I don't know whether this pub was bought by the company to run it into the ground and get out with the profits or what. All I know is if things continue in this way, the Gapp Inn will more than than likely be closing its doors before long. On my most recent visit, there were just as many people queueing to complain as there were to order food.



My advice to the Stonehouse company? Spend some money and hire some more staff. I guarantee you'll see your profit margins increase because you'll stop losing customers. As it stands, you have one less today.

We visited the Gap Inn yesterday evening, needless to say it will be the last visit there!! We paid for 2 carvery’s and a pizza. The carvery was sooo dry, like all the food had been sat all day. Couldn’t pick the stuffing up it was that hard. The gravy had been left that long it had formed a skin. Also a staff member let my son take a pizza that had just been made from the counter with no warning of how hot the surface or plate was (he was wearing oven gloves) he burnt his hand and had to go to the toilet to cool it off. When we were halfway between our meal a waiter asked is everything ok? We couldn’t respond as had a mouthful of food, so just nodded but feel it wouldn’t have made any difference if we’d have complained anyway. He then asked if he could take the wooden spoon from the table (whilst we were eating) did this to every table with food?? Not sure why! Overall it was so dry, bland and tasteless. Would not recommend.

Seats , floor and tables were about as clean as a tramps trousers, pizza was rammed full of un cooked cheap meat which was ok because it went well with uncooked pizza that was raw dough . Should of kept it in the state it was when it burnt down ! Vile

Really disappointed with today's meal. Took the kids as a half term treat and had the carvery myself. The carvery was extremely bland. Cauliflower cheese, tasted of absolutely nothing, the roast potatoes had dried out under the heat lamp and the stuffing was undercooked and watery. I was told "I can't give you a sausage as you ain't had the large!". I believe you can usually make a carvery more palatable with good gravy but needless to say this was just a packet style mix. I paid just short of £40 and wasn't informed of the offer that you have on this half term, which meant that one of the children would have eaten for £1!! Such a shame as this is a local eatery.

Possibly the worst meal I've ever had. Party of 7 visited here on a Saturday evening and ordered various meals. All the food lacked warmth even the meals such as pizza and burgers which are cooked fresh. That aside we went on to order deserts - half of which were unavailable. (How can you not have sponge and custard??) One of the party ordered the Eaton Mess which came without fresh strawberries and cream which was very much out of date. The manager apologised and refunded the desert. I suggest anyone looking to visit here would be better off a few miles down the road at the Cotgrave Stonehouse.

Our last visit was most disappointing meat was tough waitress had a face like a smacked bum wife found a hair with something gross wrapped round it, this used to be a favourite but not so sure now

Ordered the gammon and eggs. Advertised 2 eggs, got 1, I had piza and chips. Piza waa luke warm, much like the diminished gammon and egg. Chips were as hard as nails. Must have spent the majority of the day (and quite feasibly the previous evening) enjoying a sun lamp. Patronised the gap previous to current owners and can say in our opinion there has been no improvement, exactly the opposite. Will NOT go there again.

I first started visiting this establishment on a regular basis some 10 years ago, and I must say since doing so it has gone right down hill. Not only is there no cutlery on tables, as well as condiments, but it is rare to have staff attending to the bar area or the serving deck most of the time. Upon my last 3 visits I have had to wait more than 4 minutes for someone to attend to carving the meat. This has happened at different times of the day per visit. There is no visible sign of cutlery, you have to go walkabout to find any. This never used to be the case. The clientele were frequent at any time of the estblishment being open, but not nowadays. Very poor standards all round

Food was ok had to take both Pepsi back to the bar as the mix was very weak, drinks supposed to be being changed but never were, I complained to find out there was no manager on duty I was directed to the guy in the blue shirt behind the bar as apparently he was to busy to come to us at this point I left as the guy in the blue shirt can’t even be bothered to iron a new shirt before coming into work clearly has no attention to detail no wonder he can’t manage his staff or bar.

Been tonight worst meal I have ever had . Sent one back for a refund if I had realised how much the others would leave you would have had the lot back. You might start cleaning the tables too . While we were there another family sat down went to look at the food and left really wish we had .
