We are busy setting up for our 1940s event at Stonehurst this weekend. Come and grab an ale or a vintage cocktail at the 1940s Bar, see the stalls, the war re-enactment, the wonderful singer Fiona Harrison who is with us all weekend, Vintage Activities for the children in the farm yard, and Michelin Star Chef John Duffin is running the Hog Roast. The tea shop and farm shop are open , see all the animals and sit in a shiny big tractor ! ... The weather looks set to be nice for the event too.

Radio Leicester came to see us last week, So we showed them how we look after our piggies and help them beat the heat ☀️ 🐷

User

The Leicester Mercury visited us today at Stonehurst and had a chat with Farmer Jen to see how we keep our farm animals cool during the Heatwave. We are open everyday and so is our farm shop and tearoom if you are looking to get out and about during this hot weather spell.

User

It’s been super, sizzling, hot, so we thought we’d give our golden oldies a bath and pamper to help them keep cool in the heatwave this week.

User

Our lovely girl Happy cow is 17yrs old today, one of Farmer Toms favourite and oldest cows, Happy has had lots of calves over the years and helped look after orphaned calves too. A Birthday cupcake for an awesome birthday cow 🐮

User

It’s homemade Beef pasty today at the Farmers Den. Locally sourced British Beef from Roberts Butchers of Mountsorrel....yum yum.

What an amazing day we have had.Thank you to all the staff who helped with the animals. It was a special moment seeing the lamb being born. The children loved feeding the animals, the pony ride and cuddling the Guinea pigs. Will be coming back soon when it's a bit warmer.

The tea rooms is brilliant, catered really well for my daughter with CMPA and it meant she could have the same as her sister not just chips! Thank you again .

User

What a fantastic place to visit, lots to do from pony rides, holding chicks ducklings, rabbits and guinea pigs, animals to feed. Playgrounds and so much more. The staff are fantastic nothing to much trouble, a great day out.

User

We’ve been here a few times now, the staff are lovely and friendly and helpful, the animals are lovely and the facilities are great for the kids and adults alike! Would definitely recommend anyone who loves animals to visit Stonehurst Farm 😊

User

We're fairly regular visitors and have also held our daughter's Birthday party there a few years ago. The farm is great value for money run by the owners to an extremely high standard. There is something here for the whole family as well as individual visitors and with a wonderful vintage and classic vehicle collection in the museum, a fabulous place for any motoring enthusiast. The Farmers Den Cafe offers fabulous food in generous portions at reasonable prices and the farm shop is not to be missed either. All in all, one of the best and friendliest family attractions in the East Midlands.

We visited on Saturday with our 3 year old daughter, and our friends and their 15 month old daughter. The male member of staff operating the ticket desk (didn't get his name unfortunately) couldn't have been friendlier and really made our visit extra special with his lovely manner so thanks to him! Everything about this farm was fantastic (lunch excellent too), we can't wait to return some other time.

We came to Stonehurst Farm today and had a wonderful time; my 5yr old daughter had so much to do with her 2 cousins.....tractor ride, pony ride (to my delight!), feeding lambs, petting the rabbits, feeding all the animals and thoroughly enjoying the 2 play parks. Her favourite bit was playing in the ‘straw barn’ swinging on the rope swings and exploring the tunnels. Thank you to everyone there, it was a great day out

Today was my daughters 4th birthday and we went along because she loves this farm and in particular the horse rides. I had prepared her that due to the weather the horse rides may not be on. When we got there they went out of their way to make my daughters day so special. They even got the tractor and the horse out so she could have a ride. I cannot speak highly enough of this farm. Wonderful staff and a wonderful place. The tea room was fantastic too. Made my daughter so happy.

User

This is the first time that we have been to stonehurst farm and I cant rate it enough, the staff are so so lovely and are helpful in every way to allow you as close contact as possible with the animals, today my girls have held baby chicks, lambs, rabbits, they have gone on the tractor ride, played in muddy puddles, fed all the animals, played on the fab play areas and finished off the day with horse riding. Just such a fabulous place which is great value for money with so many activities to do. When we arrived parking was limited due to it being the first day of Easter holidays where the sun was beaming and no rain hooray!!! I had to park in the farm shop parking and the guy who was on the till allowed me to remain there which I was so grateful for as had a large vehicle and been on the road a while. This place is fabulous we are definitely coming back. Keep up the brilliant work perfect for families with small children.
