Stoney Cove Description
Welcome to Stoney Cove the UK’s National Diving Centre. Diving first started here around 1960 and as the sport gained popularity Stoney Cove was developed into the amazing underwater adventure park it is today. Why not learn to dive today in our fantastic centres heated dive pool.
Much work has taken place to keep Stoney Cove at the forefront of dive training and it is recognised as the benchmark for other centres to follow. The Centre includes a heated indoor training pool, superb conference rooms, a fantastic dive store full of great dive gear at very competitive prices and a super public bar and restaurant called Nemos as well as the underwater features.

Wow, yet another fabulous day! The continuing heat wave has been delightful at Stoney Cove, whether you come to Scuba Dive, Open Water Swim or to simply take in the sun’s rays on Nemo’s Bar’s terrace, while looking over the lake with a Gin in your hand. However, although the water looks irresistible and perfect for a cool off when the temperature is a sizzling 30C…it’s not. It’s very cold, very deep and dangerous to enter open water without training and life preserving proce...dures. Please don’t be tempted to jump in and cool off in Stoney Cove or any other quarry, lake or river... it might just cost you your life!!!

A cracking sunny day at Stoney Cove today! The surface temperature is 12 degrees, the average viz around 4 metres and the pike are spawning.
The Dive School at Stoney Cove is really pleased to be working with Gary Price, we are looking forward to delivering first class PADI Pro training with added custom elements that prepare you to work in compliance with the stringent Diving at Work Regulations.

We are all looking forward to some sunny weather for this bank holiday at Stoney Cove. Good diving to everybody who is making this years first sea dives. The water here is nearly up to 10 degrees and the viz is quite good for early map.
