We were also on the shortlist and voted by the public, as one the best cafes and best city experiences.
"The Alice in Wonderland themed cafe has captured the imagination of young and old with its fantasy land decor and costumed characters serving lunch and afternoon tea.
... Hidden away down an alley, off Station Street, in the basement of Hopkinson’s, the topsy turvy venue has also been nominated for Best City Experience.
One fan told us: “Very friendly environment, the atmosphere is very authentic and unique, it's the only place in town where you get served by actors. A truly 'Wonderland' experience.”
Since then we have built a small play area and opened up the cafe. We will be soon installing a baby changing space and updating the bar for lounge evenings once our alcohol license is complete. We should be having windows installed in the next few weeks too!
We understand by the reviews that our business isn't for everyone, especially when you try and do something out of the ordinary. We will continue to fight the war on reality, we aren't crazy our reality is just different to yours ❤️❤️

Hi Wonderlanders,
For the next 2 and abit weeks i will be away on paternity leave. My very own little Alice will bought into the world (slightly prematurely) on the weekend.
I won't be answering calls on the weekend at all. My phone will be switched back on from the Tuesday for bookings and queries, all being well. My wonderful staff will reply to all facebook messages and queries as soon as they can.

What a lovely review on TripAdvisor, titled "Hidden Gem"
"We are fairly frequent visitors to Nottingham and normally end up taking the kids to the usual places for their meals (Burger King, McDonalds 🤢 and the usual high street trash cans). This visit we did the Hoodwinked Robin trail and came across Wonderland cafe. My eldest daughter is hooked on Alice in Wonderland as it is so her curiosity instantly shot through the roof. So we followed the white rabbit and saw the the ...Cheshire Cat on the way down into the tea room and was instantly greeted by the Queen of Hearts ♥️. The layout of the tearoom is amazing with something that catches your eye in every corner. The kids had Alice’s afternoon tea and my wife and I had the Mad Hatters afternoon tea. Before our food arrived the whole of the cafe was treated to a rendition of Off with their heads from the Queen which we were not expecting, but was absolutely brilliant! The kids loved it. The food and drink was top notch! Lovely sandwiches, cream tea and a cracking selection of cakes washed down with a refreshing pot of loose leaf tea. The kids cleared their plates (always a good sign) and then were playing with the hats and exploring everything around the tea room. I’ve got to give full marks for this as the kids loved it and haven’t stopped talking about it. I loved it for its quirkiness, great food and great hostess. To find such a hidden gem like this has really made our weekend memorable and would recommend and definitely will return. Thanks for a great time 😊👍"
