I visited a friend earlier in The week and there was a discussion regarding Christmas and their lacking a tree. They have been a victim of circumstance and I was trying to wrack my #brains as to how I could #help. As I left a #nightshift in the #earlyhours of this morning I spotted a solid top #pallet and my #creativity shouted ‘GRAB IT!’ This is the result of a few #fraught #hours in an already #overcrowded #workshopamd a trip to @aldiuk with @loukas.neo has resulted in my #first pallet wood project.

It was a cold #saturday #morning at #bosworthmarina but it was worth it to see the faces of the clients. I wasn’t sure we would get the #seats #finished before #christmas but we have and the client is very pleased.
We have fired them using A2 stainless steel m8 pan-headed Alan bolts making them easily removable for when the boat is moored up. Thankfully I remembered all the templates so transferring the holes was #simple

It doesn’t seem like 10 minutes ago since the customer was collecting this!

I have enjoyed making theseoak seats for a client from #marketbosworth #marina theybare tops for the seats on the #stern of their #narrowboat. These have gone from #roughsawn to first coat of @osmo_uk oil in a day! I had taken a #pattern off the existing #metalwork on the #boat and have used that template along with #special #router #jig to produce a second off-set template which was then used along with #2 #flush #trim #router #cutters to create the final shape.

It’s been a #busy week with a #mixedbag of things happening in the #workshop. All #10 of the #ash #drawers are made and ready to be #sanded. I’ve used my trusty old @husqvarnauk #40 to cut a #spaltedbeech #log into #3 rings ready to be made into some #sidetable #sidetables with #hairpinlegs. We have started work on a small #oak #door. The week ended with a #charitable atmosphere with #pudsey ears ready for #childreninneed2018 #cin I’ve had the assistance of Loukas for a couple of days which has been a great help.

I can’t believe it’s a year since I built and fitted this bespoke cupboard and the floating shelves above.

I’m #proud to say that my #mum, along with many other locals has helped to create these #poppies to commemorate the #armistice this year. The #poppies have been #handmade by #local #volunteers and then organised into this #awesome display of #respect at the #abbey in my #hometown; #selby #proudson #lestweforget #royalbritishlegion #wewillrememberthem 📷 @lesliddle

Stuart made a beautiful fancy dress rail for our daughters. We are over the moon with the build quality and workmanship. Stuart fully understood what we wanted and built it to a superb finish. Can't recommend him highly enough, top chap and top work! 5****

Stuart did a fantastic job of building and fitting a cupboard and floating shelves into an alcove for us. He perfectly matched our wooden mantle piece. He left the place immaculately clean, even fixing a sticking door and leaving us some off cuts for kindling before he left. Highly recommended.

Oak scrabble squares! Absolutely amazing. Stuart Received a drawing on a piece of prescription paper written on with eyeliner And made it into something great!
