We loved our stay here. Caravan was good , entertainment for the kids was fab. The show bar restaurant food was brill and at really good prices. A really lovely quiet area with a beautiful beach a little walk away the kids loved. Also lots more to do if you drive a little way to mablethorpe or surround towns/ beaches. The shop was good for essentials and very reasonable prices. We found all the staff to be really lovely and helpful.

Thanks Sunnydale for a lovely holiday

User

We came down from newcastle a few weeks ago the staff were all very freindly and welcoming . Lovly park for the kids . Then i won 2grand on the bingo .. so all in all great place . Maplethorpe was lovly too donkey rides arcades a train that goes along the beach to car park . Today is our last day here . Been here a week and I've got to give this a 10 out of 10 . The staff our very good. Very helpful and friendly . Jimbo . Is a legend. In fact all the staff our we are all gonna be sad to go home. I do hope staff get looked after 100 percent happy with them all

User

I have just been here with my family for 3 nights with 9 adults and 3 kids and we had a great time. From first being greeted by the reception team to how clean the caravans were right through to the entertainment. Would definitely come here again. All the staff work so hard to make your holiday great and make u so welcome especially Jim bob the dj. We all could have stayed longer especially the kids xx

User

Forget the bad reviews. Our Tulip caravan was spotless and the holiday park was fab, yes it's small but there's enough to do and you're 15 mins away from Mablethorpe. The entertainment staff were amazing and the showbar was reasonably priced. Fab.

User

After reading some of the recent bad reviews I was worried about what the site would be like! I was pleasantly surprised that it was nothing like I had imagined.

We stayed in 161 which previously had been given an bad review. However upon entering the caravan was spotlessly clean, no stains or smells. Just the usual slight signs of wear here and there. The heating had been left on for us so was lovely and warm on arrival which was appreciated on such a dull day!

The bed was creaky but fine once you were settled in. Mattress wasn't the comfiest but was fine for a weeks stay. The photos online show a true representation of what to expect. We were very pleased that they had taken note of my request to remove one of the twin beds so there was room for the travel cot so my children could share a room. The beds were all made up on arrival and all the kitchen basics you needed were provided such as plates/cups/pans etc.

The site itself is quite small (which is perfect for us!) It is set in a small village location so if you are looking for a seaside town vibe like Skegness then this is probably not the place for you. However if you do prefer the quiet country setting then its perfect! We spent alot of time out about visiting places, Mablethorpe is around 15 mins away and Skegness around 45 mins. There are a few pubs a short walk away in Saltfleet as well as a shop and a chip shop. The beach is around a 15 min walk over a grassy area.

On site there is a swimming pool. Basic but clean and perfect for my 2 toddlers. A softplay which the kids loved. The boathouse restaurant we didnt eat in but from what we saw the food look good and reasonably priced. There is entertainment provided all year around, although it was very quiet this time of year as it was term time. There was only a handful of small children staying the same time as us.

There is also a room with amusements/arcade games and an outdoor play area. The staff were all friendly and helpful when needed.

All in all I think this site is perfect if you want a more quiet rural setting away from the traditional seaside towns. I have a 2 year old and 1 year old and the facilities provided were perfect for both.

User

We stayed Monday-Friday with our two grandsons aged 6 and 7 and enjoyed a wonderful holiday! The pool was the highlight, then the indoor play area and outdoor park! The entertainment was basic but enjoyable, the bar and restaurant was expensive. Our caravan was clean and comfortable and the site is well located for trips to mablethorpe, Skegness and Cleethorpes. It's is a lovely site and we shall be going again

User

Returned home from out stay Saturday, booked to come back in June for my 25th birthday:)! we had a nice break staff was great especially the lady who works in the shop she was lovely and helpful!! I was surprised at how clean the shower blocks was the male cleaning did a really good job! The pool and soft play was good, and clean! The entertainment was ok, my 2 kids did painting got told it would wash straight out but my boys top is now stained 😂🤦‍♀️ It’s fine thou they had fun! My main reason for 4* and not 5, is the prices for food and drinks :| we ordered chips with chilli was around £7 and we had next to nothing chips (covered in salt) and a little blob of chilli,👎🏻😟! Also ordered the sharing bowles was all over fryed and hard, disappointing😔! Also The arcade toilets are awful the smell made me feel sick strong wee smell, even my 2 year old was holding he’s nose 🤮!!, overall we had a good stay please make food and drink cheaper so we don’t have to go els we’re for it 😂😀 x

User

Lovely small site with friendly staff and excellent entertainment. Short walk from beach although there's nothing but the beach there (ideal for walking dogs) and not far from Skegness, Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe with all the family holiday attractions and a short drive from Boston and Louth for shopping.

Only fault we found was that not all items on menu were available at all times but food was good and reasonably priced.

User

After reading a lot of bad reviews I was quite worried but we absolutly loved it. Only complaint would be a constant dripping kitchen tap and the swimming pool open hours were a bit stingey. Lovely caravan, pub and arcades. Asked for help with gas and a man turned up within 10 mins

User

We chose this site having stayed last year with same company in Southerness. Sadly we were disappointed this year. Our caravan had 2 bathrooms but one had no running water, towel rails were rusty and dining chair broken. It was cheap compared to Haven so I guess we got what we paid for. Children's entertainment was great fun. Lovely outdoor park, swimming pool was awful as wasn't heated, had to wait some time for a changing room to be free as only have a few and they were a flooded mess. Local beach is miles out through salt flats. Unfortunately due to storms on our first night the soft pmay area was closed due to flooding. The food was nice but overpriced for simple pub food. Nearby Mablethorpe is a great town with a brilliant beach, Queens Park with outdoor paddling pool and boating lake, Seal and Animal Sanctuary and a small Aquarium. Nothing much to do at Saltfleet but a cheap base to explore other towns.

User

The accommodation and most of the park staff are fantastic, however the boathouse restaurant let the whole park down the service was slow and staff are rude to the point of putting in an complaint with the manager to have him walk away from me mid conversation, we had breakfast which was nice the food was good although the service very slow I asked for brown sauce which never arrrived, we However still went back that evening for dinner, after ordering 5 items off the menu to be told they’d run out of that meal or item we finally found something they did have to be given a dirty wine glass, I would return to the park but not the restaurant

User

We returned home on Monday April 9th, after a long weekend at Sunnydale. This was our 5th year, returning for an Easter break, as our little boy loves seeing sparky! But have to say we were really disappointed this year. On arrival our car got stuck in mud getting to our caravan, I know the bad weather can't be helped, but a warning not to drive on the grass would of been helpful! Then inside our van was a dirty water filled bucket and mop, fusty smell and dirt on the floor and sofas. When we started to put things away we discovered one of the bedroom floors was soaking wet! This was a spare room thankfully so only used to store towels and coats but it started to smell as it dried...the bar seemed run down with no snax crisps and very slow service, no WiFi and no chocolate brownie in our shared ice-cream brownie dessert?! On the last morning we couldn't go swimming as no one had turned up with the keys! It's such a shame as we love coming and walking on the beach and enjoying the wildlife...may have to rethink our stay next Easter.....

User

The carvan was not clean properly the oven didn't work properly the maintenance guy came out told us to put head in over to light, the carvan smelled and the double bed didn't come out right we complained be no one came to sort it have no sweeping brush to clean floor with and the entertainment was not go it was the same thing every night won't be recommended to my friends and family

User

Disappointing! Check-in was slow, not very organised at all. Caravan was nice cudnt really fault although the central heating had a mind of its own. Site very small. Arcade also small & most of the time the 2p change machine was not working, which is not good as it's the main machines the kids play on & with no-one around to sort it. Very under staffed so service was extremely slow! Food vending machine was faulty & again no-one around to help. Toilets were discusting they smelt awful, looked like they had never been cleaned, no toilet roll & one of the nights we went they were flooded so the women's were closed. I would therefore not recommend this site to anyone & will not be returning.

User

What a dump !! Started badly when young girl left us at reception never did come back with our keys someone else got them . Caravan was ok deffo not luxury like we had paid for few things didn’t work . The swimming pool was dirty few changing rooms .fishing isn’t checked so kids treated fish badly had wrong size hooks not very nice to see . Entertainment Friday couple was ok and Sunday Saturday was heavy metal band surprised windows still in . Arcade machines didn’t work and run out of glasses no staff run on the cheap million times worse than the heacham beach resort we have stayed . After weeks of going back and forward to customer services they have offered me a early check in on Next holiday . Never ever again will I book with them never done a review before but I really don’t want people have the same experience we had

User

We have been going here for the past 3-4 years had no problems. But this year was dreadful arrived at caravan and it was dirty and smelt so complained to be told by cleaner they had to rush as was last caravan we then had to leave the caravan while they apparently cleaned it on used ozone machine to get rid of the smell so this meant we lost most of our first evening. Went back to the caravan and it was dirty still. Next day we had showers to find shower was broke we only had either scolding water or cold. Next day we was given keys to another caravan only to find wen we got there it was already occupied so was given keys to yet another caravan only to discover it dirty with bins full of rubbish and food left on sides we eventually stayed in original caravan and boiler for shower was fixed on the Thurs so only took em 2 days we was goin home in fri so not really helpful. All in all we probably won't be returning as the experience this time round was awful. And a positive the entertainment was better this year.

User

Terrible don't go then they ignore you when you complain. Camping toilets + showers not cleaned for 4 days. In the bar tables over flowed with glasses + plates all nite, as well as a huge que and 25min wait for a drink. Heavy metal music with full hair thrashing is not family entertainment!!! Not even worth the 1 star.....

User

Struggling to give one star at minute! Have been for the last 4-5 years. Family member was moved from this caravan 3 years ago as was smelly and had a really creeky bed so was gutted that we got given 161 this time round. On arrival the marks/stains on seats and shabby curtains did not make me think this was a gold standard caravan! Spoke to manager to be told no other vans! So we unloaded car and went out as didn't want to stay in van! Now it is after midnight and I still can't sleep! The boiler is so noisy it kicks in every 3 minutes and is driving me mad let alone my autistic son who has an issue with some noises and didn't get to sleep till after 11. We are having to sleep on top of the quilt as the springs are pushing through mattress and still then very painful. And yes it is the same bed and mattress as before as it creeks every time you move and is waking my son who is a light sleeper! I'm so gutted and shattered we have been coming here for at least 4 years. Will be speaking to manager in morning and if no more vans will request a refund and be going home or trying to find a hotel do to not disappoint my autistic 5 year old who thinks he is staying till Friday!

User

All the staff work so hard to make your holiday great and make u so welcome especially Jim bob the dj. We all could have stayed longer especially the kids xx

Forget the bad reviews. Our Tulip caravan was spotless and the holiday park was fab, yes it's small but there's enough to do and you're 15 mins away from Mablethorpe. The entertainment staff were amazing and the showbar was reasonably priced. Fab.

User

We loved our stay here. Caravan was good , entertainment for the kids was fab. The show bar restaurant food was brill and at really good prices. A really lovely quiet area with a beautiful beach a little walk away the kids loved. Also lots more to do if you drive a little way to mablethorpe or surround towns/ beaches. The shop was good for essentials and very reasonable prices. We found all the staff to be really lovely and helpful.

Thanks Sunnydale for a lovely holiday
