**Owner found!!! She had been missing for 5 months and her owner is very pleased to have her back 😊 **
We have had this lady brought into us as a stray last night. She was found in Wellingborough and microchipped as Lily. Unfortunately the telephone numbers provided on the microchip do not work. If she could be yours, please contact the surgery.

Are your pets Microchip details up to date with your correct contact details? Does your pet even have a Microchip?
Microchips aren’t just for dogs. They can be placed into cats, horses, rabbits, parrots and tortoises to mention just a few. Microchips are getting smaller, and are placed under the skin just like an injection. This is normally quick and painless process. We also register the chip to the data base as soon as we have placed... it for you. The only responsibility you have is to check that the details are always changed when you move house and change your phone number.
It is important to check the microchips are working for them to be effective. We can check your pets chip for you at anytime, just ask at reception and they can help you.

Last week we received a phone call from a client in the Wellingborough area whose beloved pet rabbit had died suddenly, with no symptoms. Tests have now confirmed that very sadly this bunny died from RHD2 , a new strain of Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease. Our sympathy is with this client and their family. RHD2 is not covered by the annual rabbit vaccination , which protects from RHD1 and myxomatosis. There is now a vaccine available which can protect from RHD2, it must be ...given at least 2 weeks apart from the annual vaccine and is recommended every 6-12 months. Please contact the clinic if you would like further advice.

This lovely looking Swan was brought into us the other week after being hit on the a45. After a check over by a vet and some tlc from the nurses it was released back down at the embankment!

like many people our dogs are so precious to us, so to have fabulous vets and nurses at Swanspool on hand always puts our mind at rest . Benji had his eye removed on Friday and the care he was given was first class as always , from John the vet and the nurses who cared for him are such lovely people . After such a big operation he came out wagging his tail that says it for me . we will always recommend you to all our pet owning friends.

Your an amazing vets we have used you for many years over 30 years and wouldn't dream of going to anyone else. Your vets and nurses and staff have such amazing care and support when ever needed and excellent at giving advice love your vets so much well done on all your hard work xxxx

We have been with this practice for many years. We have always Re homed rescue dogs and Swanspool have always looked after them with the best care possible more, current problems is ongoing. Thank you to Jonathan and Anna who have been the primary Vets in the care of our special boy! Seb. Also a big thank you to Mandy on the reception team for being the continuing face and always being so helpful.

We have always had a very high opinion of everybody in the practice and when recently we rushed our 9 month old lab down to the vets when he was gagging and shaky and not at all happy, they (Jonathan) quickly suggested he may well have been over ambitious chasing a stick and suggested it may well have been forced down his throat and cut his throat just behind the tonsils.

An anesthetic and an examination revealed this to be the case and his throat was stitched, given some AB and by 8.00pm he was good as new and fast asleep in his bed.

We make sure he no longer chases sticks!

I cannot praise the practice enough for their concerned and professional attitude towards their customers and patients.

We had to say goodbye to Harvey our cavalier King Charles on13th 8.30pm.Thanks to Rafael for his kindness to Harvey and us in an emergency Special thanks to John Bowie for looking after Harvey during his life.All of the staff are excellent thank you .Have used Swanspool for years wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Took my 4 bunnies in for a health check today. Very friendly staff and great service. Came away with a little goodie bag full of leaflets, some hay which the rabbits loved and some great advice. Thank you

Thank you for the support when we had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog. Such care and consideration at this very difficult time. We can't thank you enough.

My horse and my small animals are registered at swanspool. I have always been impressed with the equine side so decided to register my small animals also.

I must say after having my old dog put to sleep at home by swanspool vets it has affirmed my decision.

The swanspool small animal team were kind and compassionate and dealt with the difficult situation wonderfully.

The financial side I also find fair and reasonable.

I would not hesitate to recommend swanspool to family and friends.

My dog passed away tonight but my parents couldn’t praise the staff team more for ensuring our boy had the best care possible before he died. Thank you so much for doing what you could and helping him have a painless death. We will love him forever and are so grateful you were there for him in his time of need and for making sure he was as comfortable as possible.

I cannot thank Zoe, Sam and the rest of the staff enough at Swanspool Veterinary Clinic for looking after our cat Ebony after we suspect she was hit by a car. It’s a worrying time for any pet owner (especially if you are as besotted with them as I am) when you have to leave them somewhere to receive any medical treatment, but it is so reassuring to know that the staff here look after them like they are their own. From the vets, nurses reception & dispensary team - every member of staff I came across always wanted to help and showed a lot of love for my fluffy companion.

Ebony has had a canine tooth removed today and we discovered she has a slight dislocation in her tail, and she has came home much more her affectionate self and I am so so pleased. This isn’t the end of Ebonys journey, but once again, thank you all so so much for being fab! X �

I can not be more grateful for the excellent service from swanspool in the last 24 hours. Thanks to everyone involved in the emergency surgery and care of my dog honey. Without the professionalism of the vet and everyone else honey would not be with me now. I would highly recommend swanspool vets! And again thank you to everyone at swanspool!

I bought my dog Bentley in for the first time on Wednesday to see Rafael. He was fantastic with him, gave him cuddles and fuss and really put him at ease in an unknown environment. I have used the large animal side for years and truly converted to small animal too now.

Having spoken to Rachel about my dogs high anxiety problem (Millie) I got her an adaptil collar that she's worn since Tuesday. The vet I saw on Wednesday ( sorry I didn't catch your name) prescribed tablets. Already I have a different dog, she's a lot calmer and last night we had our first whole nights sleep. Thank you so much for your help.

Have been going to Swanspool for over 20 years. Everyone works together as a great team.

It is a comfort knowing I have the best vet when I need to take any of my pets there.

Been coming to this vets for years now with my pets. Sadly had to put my oldest dog to sleep this morning. Took comfort in how the vet (Anna) and the vet nurse (sorry don’t know your name) fussed her and talked to her throughout it all. Thank you both for that. All the staff here are great and they will always manage to fit you in when your pet needs to be seen.

All the staff are lovely and best of all my dogs enjoy their visits

Absolutely wonderful practice all my horses are with swanspool and their vets are fantastic..even when I lost my Phoenix Pat called me to send his condolences which went along way with me .. He cares... All the other equine vets I have dealt with are brilliant to I would recommend this practice to anyone...Thank you all from myself and Belle..Duke....Murry ....Rosa...Button ...and Phoenix RIP x
