Wednesday Wisdom 💫

This Friday -27th we are off to Cumbria for the annual NKT -IKBU Summer Festival.
During this time the World Peace Cafe will remain open but the Meditation Centre and shop will be closed.
Lunchtime Meditations will resume on Monday 13th August.... Prayers for World Peace will resume on Sunday 19th August.
The Summer Festival is a chance to develop your inner peace with the unique experience and inspiration of two weeks of teaching, empowerments, guided meditation retreat and hanging out with an international gathering of spiritual friends. There is nothing quite like it in the whole year. Don't miss out!

Just 15 mins from Derby city centre a refuge of peace and tranquility for all. Great free lunch time meditations, cafe now has a wood burner and beautiful grounds to explore. First came here 5 years ago and still think best place in Derbyshire to visit. Even has a play area especially for kids. You can literally feel the peace and kindness as you come onto the drive lined with amazing giant redwood trees. Def recommend a visit ���

I visited Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre for the first time only a year ago and loved it. A very friendly and supportive environment. The new shrine in the main meditation room is very modern - it is as if Buddha is floating in the space in front if you. The perfect place to learn to meditate. The teachers, managers and students are very relaxed and friendly. The cafe is worth a visit if you have time. I hope to visit again soon.
