The lodge I stayed in was beautiful and homely, the site it self was also beautiful and kept very well and clean. Entertainment for every one young and old and plenty to keep you busy for ever how long you may stay. I went with friends from the 6th to 8th of July, and as you can imagine was very busy especially with the England match playing on the Saturday too. But that just gave it atmosphere and agreat one at that. The only thing that let it down was the time people had to wait to be served with a drink, which again I understand you can wait a while, and we did have an understanding of this, it's just we still had to wait even near the end of the night to, when there wasn't that many people in the bar and that I didn't understand. But overall my experience was brilliant and will definitely come back.

Just came back today from a fantastic week at the park my wife and kids loved it we have been to many places over the years and always had bad experiences Haven and Pontins are a million miles away from this place.

Only criticism is the bar service very very slow and I know it's school holidays and everything but the staff looked tired and disorganised maybe more staff or a manager behind the bar to organise better.

It also needed a couple of people to constantly sweep through during the day and night to collect glasses as there was always at 10 empty at every seat we sat at.

But apart from that it was great entertainment was great and activities on site are really good.

We will be back for sure well done team and hopefully next time we come it will be even better.

Currently staying at Tribeca village and cannot fault this place and the staff. We had a couple of cleaning issues when we first got here this afternoon, nothing major but addressed straight away . While making tea tonight noticed we didn't have enough utensils and asked if we could have some tomorrow. Within ten minutes of requesting this through the app a fabulous member of staff named Em dropped off brand new items for us and wished us a great stay. I have never come across service like it I couldn't wish for a better birthday week away! Fabulous job Away Resorts this will be a regular retreat for us!

Amazing weekend away with family. The caravan was lovely and clean. Lakes were beautiful. The water park (just wake) was amazing and so much fun!!!! Food in the spitefire bar was also lovely. A couple of things I think could be improved.

1. A better park for younger children a slide or swings. My 1 year old couldn't do anything there.

2. Information on the pool to be included in welcome pack. Was very annoying when we tried to go swimming we couldn't as unaware that you need to book.

3. Also information on the other activities included to. There wasn't enough details on how to book.

4. Better parking. It's a nightmare to park near the centre!

All in All a lovely resort. We will defiantly visit again maybe in a difference caravan with a hot tub next time.

Our last day at Tattershall Lakes and i have to say we have really enjoyed it .... ive heard some bad experiences on here about grumpy staff i have certainly not had that this week they have been mainly happy and helpful .... drinks are good and food in the entertainment club was perfect especialy the mushroom Tagliatelle it was lush

We are staying in 10 Duck pond lodge its very nice with our hot tub looked after every day and if you like fishing its own fishing peg with good size carp - tench and bream in the lake

Loads of great activities to do .... my 2 teenage kids loved the Aqua park - jet ski - activity park ect .... but they are all extras but if the kids come off happy its worth it

My only grumble is it had no iron and board and got charged £10 to hire one which i though the money we paid for a week it should of come supplied

Also indoor pool is very small .... for a large complex like this a big fun pool with slides ect is needed.

All in All im sorry to leave tomorrow

In my opinion very much worth a stay .... but bring an iron lol .

Thanks Tattershall Lakes .... The Happy Stantons

Its ok the only down side was not enough staff for the bar especially has the big match was on and rock the lack at the same time . We dont do the bar as a rule has its over priced but we did enjoy the water obstacle courses on sunday it is what its is we have been a few times if i was going to complain it would of been over last December when they lost all power but we enjoyed no mobil phones for 24hrs we made our own entertainment when others were packing up and went home becuse there was no power yes we would go back again

We stayed for the first time from Mon 23rd July to Thu 26th July. Fantastic setting and scenery very picturesque. On the not so good side, the queues for the bar were ridiculous. 40 minutes to get served to be told they had ran out of Coke?? So I asked for Lemon and Lime they had ran out of lime. The slush machine was constantly not working properly. The seating areas outside were not cleaned. Dirty tables and seats. Tried to book a swimming session eventually got through to the leisure centre booking line to say the whole of the morning sessions were fully booked. Went to the outdoor cinema the film did not turn up. My Grandaughter went to the Aqua Park and loved it she had a great time. My Grandson also enjoyed the crazy karts. Fraser was great with him. Overall a lovely site and a good break, but needs a lot of work doing on the cleanliness of outdoor tables and seats and the queues for the bar need looking into.

We have been going to Tattershall for the last few years and we have seen some great changes. They have invested lots of money in the entertainment centre, the spitfire bar and The propellor bar but that’s where the greatness ends. The customer service in the Spitfire bar is terrible, some people queued up others just walked up instead of queuing and got served. On one occasion I didn’t have my pass (it was in my hubbies pocket we had been in there a while and spent a large amount on drinks) but I wanted 2 slushes and was refused service and was spoke to shockingly by the barman so we decided to spend rest of our money and time at the country house a 2 minute walk away nicer service and drink. Such a shame they can’t get the service right I hired a luxury private lodge and bought passes but when we return in the summer we won’t bother with the passes. My children also did the water walking it was £7:50 for about 5 minutes and was an absolute farce they only had one ball that worked so they had to go on singularly my eldest daughter asked to come of early as it was boring on her own.

I also agree with lots of the comments about the cars and how people drive but also how people walk round the Park on one occasion when we went out in the car they deliberately walked in front and refused to let us pass but both these are down to people and not Tattershall Lakes itself.

The aqua park is brilliant fun for all the family and great value £12 per person for an hour I can honestly say I’ve never laughed as much as I did on there and the kids loved it.

We came on a family holiday with a private caravan which was amazing. We feel the caravan park and facilities are great however, there could be a bit more variety for the younger children below 4. Like a bit of a soft play area, toddler friendly park, more family orientated changing rooms in the swimming baths, toddler friendly morning and evening like arts and craft and more of a disco. I know you can get the morning stuff but you have to pay for it which is a bit of a swizz seen as you have to pay for passes. The staff are great in the bar etc but a bit slow and the children’s entertainers are ok but just need a bit more of a rocket, imagination and not try so hard, kids love to dance. All being said we did have a fab time and I know you can’t please everyone but these are just a few points to consider. Oh and wasp repellent wouldn’t go a miss either...!

The first time me and the family have been to Tattershall was this year. My daughter booked a lovely lodge for the weekend right next to the water ski lake for her sons 8th birthday so we could all have a break and be together. Great news was that we could take our dogs. The lodge was fantastic and secure and the view was unbelievable. We was that impressed as soon as we got home on the sunday night we booked another long weekend there. Unfortunately it was a differrent lodge this time next to the duck lake. The view was...well lets say there wasn't any.. Not Tattershalls fault as we booked direct with the lodge owner. Its not put us off and we hoping to get again in the next month or so. Negatives are.. I dont know why you can't get a pass when you book your stay to get you in the Merlin. Why do you have to pay..so much??.works out dear if you only there for the weekend. I do understand the reason for a pass but come on, it's not like the lodges are cheap so can't a pass be added?. Anyway.. great place so see you again soon..

User

Swift check in although parking was very chaotic. We ate in the spitfire bar on our first night and the food was awful and overpriced. Park itself is lovely and great play parks but it is far more aimed towards older children over 5. All activities are aimed at this age group despite our break being sold to us as a little campers break which was supposed to be aimed at tots but hardly any specific activities suitable. Entertainment staff had no enengagement skills with the children and a distinct lack of interest. We also had to ask for the dulpo set we were supposed to get on arrival . We ordered a pizza for delivery one night which came very squashed up! I believe we were misssold the little campers trip. The lodge was lovely!

Mixed review for tattershall im afraid.

I know so many people who have stayed here i was really looking forward to it. We rented a privatley owned caravan which was beautiful so no concerns with the accommodation at all.

The spitfire bar however we found really disappointing.

The first day we sat outside there were dirty glasses and plates on almost every table which were attracting a hord of wasps. Not just a few but so many of them. There was nothing in place to distract the wasps like in usual public places.

One member of staff on seeing a glass covered in wasps placed a jug over the glass on the table and left it, therefore attracting more wasps there were loads, not sure why that was done?.(Today as we left there seemed to be some plastic tubs in the trees).

There was broken glass at a table near the splash pool where children run around shoeless, a staff member came and tried to move the glass by putting it in her hand, she cut her hand so walked away and never came back with a brush. The glass was there the next 2 days, staff knew about it as she had cut herself clearing it.

We ate in the bar area again most of the tables were dirty, they had mostly been cleared of plates but had clearly not been wiped.

On ordering food i asked the bar staff to wipe our table which they did but only half of it as she couldnt reach the other half due to it being a booth.

The food was ok but expensive for what it was and the portion sizes. It is much more value for money at the pub just outside the entrance to the park.

With generally maintainance and clear leadership for the staff tattershall has the potential to be amazing.

Just a shame its lacking at such a busy time of year.

User

Just returned from a weeks camping, the park is generally very good. The amenities are good and clean. The available activities are mostly good value especially the aqua park. Just a shame the water sports are more about high profits than providing a good option to all park users. The swimming pool was very small for such a large park and as a consequence very difficult to get into.

The restaurant and bar were the biggest let down as they are very expensive and it took upto 45mins to get served at the bar, this can only be put down to poor staffing and management.

BUT!... although the management can’t predict nature, the Wasp and mosquito problem is ridiculous!!!! Basic management could have helped by simply organising the emptying of bins more regular, tables at times were left for Hours with dirty glasses and plates of leftovers! Unacceptable! I have learned that the park are starting to take action to help resolve the issue, but this doesn’t help those who have suffered during they’re stay. Why the place isn’t smoked out at dawn and dusk as in other countries baffles me!

Overall a great place just badly let down by management not being proactive dealing with problems. Training of staff should also help to resolve a lot of problems.

We have provisionally booked for next year into a lodge but will be monitoring reviews over the coming months. If improvements aren’t made we will cancel.

User

I’m a full time wheelchair user who cannot walk at all. I was at the lakes to watch the group I was with on the inflatables for my nephews birthday. I was very shocked at your facilities as you only had a portaloo which I couldn’t get into. We asked a member of staff if there was a disabled toilet on site and the reply was no we haven’t thought of that. This is totally unacceptable and it made life very difficult for me, had I of known beforehand i Wouldn’t have visited. There really is no excuse for not catering to disabled people’s needs in a site like yours.

User

It’s a family park but safety is an issue for me especially had no road side pedestrian areas can’t push buggies on large stone gravel which spills over onto road. Entertainment is very good. Shop prices very reasonable. Yes I agree having passes as stops outside guests using facilities but all they are useful for is swimming and night-time venue. Activities are over priced in my opinion and can add up to an expensive break. Bar prices are overly charged. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely walks around park but caution is needed with children. Amazing views especially from RAF base next door. I would return but be more cautious of budget.

User

Great park and great activities and upstairs in the propeller bar was bang on too...... but I have to take 2 stars off for the joke that is the spitfire bar (downstairs) !! The staff are a joke they have no idea how to run a bar , resulting in people queuing for 30mins on average to place an order ! And when mentioned to the staff they laughed it off and can’t see what’s wrong ! The food downstairs is absolute rammel overpriced and of such a poor standard as a group of 16 adults and children we were amazed how poor it was . And it was as if they knew themselves because as our order was coming out the lights went out so we could hardly see what we was eating ! We went upstairs the next lunchtime to the propeller bar and the food and service was of such a higher standard it was hard to believe it was the same place, we will be returning but will not be going back in the downstairs area unless drastic changes are made I’m afraid !! It will be bbq and a Chinese takeaway all the way for us .

User

We are currently staying here this is our first say here and it will be our last. My check in experience was great I had a lovely chap assist me from start to finish but the sadly it was down hill from there. Caravans and tents on the same pitch is not a good idea, we had football's, frisbys and the odd stone hitting our van by a group of children who's parents frankly couldn't give a toss. We spoke to them nicely on several occasions but nothing changed.

We decided to inform guest services just as feed back and were told there was nothing they could do as children are allows to play with balls and anything else they like.. despite damaging people's vans and spoiling our weekend.

The facility's are great but don't come here without children or grandchildren.

User

We’ve been coming for four years but this weekend has been horrendous from start to finish!!! Staff are awful with terrible attitudes!!! Karaoke was on Sunday evening my 13 year old wanted to sing, who is amazing by the way I’ll post video in the comments, staff said she was just ok and not allowed up again!! the bar was empty but the horrible staff would only let her sing one song!!!! Queuing for 40 mins to get a drink!!!! Will never come back!!! Sack all the staff and get new and train them in customer service!! Place has gone down hill! If you want a holiday where you que for an hour for a drink and staff treat everyone like dirt then this is the place for you!!! Tattershall you should be ashamed!!!

User

Just got back from a 4 night stay here & can't fault our accommodation as it was privately owned however we were really looking forward to coming here & instead have had to travel to skegness/other places daily just for something to do for the kids as most activities are ages 8+ & the wasp situation was horrendous! No attempts to sort out the clear infestation of wasps all over the country park. You were either confined to your accommodation or batting wasps left right & centre! Food & drinks left all over tables outside & inside! 30 minute que at the bar for a drink 3 staff serving one person, totally unorganized! Went to the pool one day after phoning up for half an hour as no-one ever answered the leisure line & the young girls lifeguarding couldn't have looked more miserable! The £35 park passes are an absolute joke it literally gets you through the facilities doors & pool & that's it. Overall lovely scenery and park if you have older children but terrible organisation & housekeeping. Will not be returning! Needs a complete overhaul in organisation, management & training of staff.

I do understand the reason for a pass but come on, it's not like the lodges are cheap so can't a pass be added?. Anyway.. great place so see you again soon..
