Join us for The Act of Remembrance at 10.50am this morning. We will gather at the war memorial in the market place. Local children will be placing 100 crosses around the memorial and our chairman will lay a wreath.
A Service of Thanksgiving will follow at 11.45am at St Michaels Church Coningsby

The winners of the Best Kept Gardens were presented with their certificates at the September parish council meeting.

Congratulations to Tattershall Thorpe who have once again won the Silver Gilt Award in the East Midlands in Bloom competition. It’s great to see a community working together and getting recognition for all their efforts.

In my capacity as chairman of Tattershall With Thorpe Parish Council I am not sure whether to
(a) consider myself honoured that someone was sufficiently impressed with the floral displays outside of my office (NB Law, 18 High Street, Tattershall) that he/she/they wanted to have a continued enjoyment at home and so removed one of the large planters containing decorative flowers
(b) annoyed that he/she/they considered it acceptable to steal the planter.
... Having given the matter some careful thought I feel it is the latter.
We are very fortunate to live in an area where the statistical crime rate is very low. Nevertheless, this amounts to a quite blatant theft. And so with significant sarcasm I thank the perpetrators of this crime for their selfishness.

School Crossing Patrol - Silver Street, Coningsby
Good news!!
The vacancy for the Silver Street school crossing patrol has been filled. The crossing will be manned from the afternoon of the first day of the new academic year in September (a final training session is taking place that morning) and every morning and afternoon during term time thereafter.

That’ll teach us for being on the ball and publicising the road closure information as soon as we received it! They’ve changed their mind on the dates! 🙄

Notification of temporary road closures for Coningsby and Tattershall Thorpe over the next few weeks.

Tattershall held their Annual Parish Meeting this evening. The Village Hall Committee were presented with The Manning Trophy by Chairman Nick Brown.

The litter pick has been done! A huge thank you to those who gave their time to help. Especially to Coningsby & Tattershall Scout group, their parents and leaders who did a fantastic job! One of them even found a strimmer!! Our village is now looking tidy - let’s work together and keep it that way!
