Thank you to the lovely lady who has re-picked our order tonight for us to collect. Van had broken down. We offered to collect from van but issues with fridge so they are re-picking it and we are fetching from store. Fantastic customer service - thank you. You folks don't know but I am unable to get out on own to shop as I am on crutches so if you hadn't done this it would have meant hubby bringing me out tonight. Thank you so much for being amazing

User

Thank you Tesco’s Ashby. I was having a mare this morning rushing around getting coffee for staff and brioche for my students. I dropped and smashed jars of coffee all over the floor creating mess and chaos. I apologised profusely and offered to help clean and pay for damages. Staff were so kind, they said get more jars and was told not to worry. You made a rubbish start to the day much much better. Thank you.

User

I just want to say thank you to two of your lovely and extremely helpful staff today at your Ashby store.

I visited your store today with my daughter. She spotted a fur friend dragon which is the only thing she has asked for from Father Christmas this year. I could see stock was running low and I had struggled to get one locally so was pleased to see some in stock, but as my daughter was with me I couldn't just put it in my trolley.

That's when one of your staff could see my predicament and asked if she could help. I explained my situation and she offered to take one of the dragons to the electrical / click and collect desk for me.

We did a bit more shopping then made our way to the electrical desk where another of your staff had the dragon all wrapped up so my daughter didn't have a clue what it was. I paid, made some excuse about it being a work tool for her dad and we left, my daughter none the wiser!

Thank you so much to your staff. Today you were great.

Given the difference in this cafe over the last few months I feel the staff deserve a medal for dealing with the miserable people that forget they’re humans too and are quick to bad mouth them.

Getting staffing levels in places like that is hard because sickness happens, situations arise that cannot be helped!! I love sue on the till and the standards are certainly on the way up!

After leaving this message to no response I have now left it as a review.

Having shopped at Tesco Ashby-de-la-Zouch for a number of years and have always found it to be a great store, I am however concerned with regards to the Cafe.

Over the last few weekends I have been in for breakfast, on each occasion the Cafe has been grossly under staffed.

One person serving at the counter and having to make drinks as well, not only does this cause stress to the staff as they try and do their best at the busiest time of the week but in turn this then frustrates customers who have to wait to be served. I have witnessed these circumstances boil over to arguments between staff members in front of customers, not a good look.

An extra person on the counter at weekends would be a great help to all.

This is not fair on staff or customers. A great store with great staff who are being let down. Come on Tesco’s

User

Went in for breakfast took over 15 minutes to get served. I'm don't like eggs so asked if I could swap for something else, got told anything except for meat ie. Beans, tomato, hash browns...why can't I have a sausage or bacon instead? So anyway I had no egg and paid extra for 2 x sausage and 2 x bacon...maybe that's why I can't swap the eggs??? Got given a table no and was told won't be long. My cup of tea arrived very promptly but my breakfast didn't arrive for another 25 minutes!!! Strangly my extra sausages and bacon came on extra plate but that's not the end of the world. The food was ok, nothing to write home about but not worth complaining about.

User

Poor customer service in the cafe. Attitude from stressed staff when you politely ask for a table to be cleared, followed by 5 minutes of them whingeing to their colleagues about it before actually clearing an unoccupied table first. Finally our table was cleared and we were stroppily told there's a 30 minute wait for food "alright?" (no apology). Would have left if not for 2 hungry kids. Good customer service also means the staff being able to deal with busy times appropriately. Oh, and the place could do with a clean.

User

I'm currently sat in Tesco ash by ... I'm here because I needed coffee after a long journey and to set up temporary office for an hour. To see this cafe is appalling is an understatement!! Your staff look disgracefully as if they just got out of bed, almost every table needs clearing and they really don't seem to give a dam! A little customer service training here I think .. don't you?

User

Yet again I've been dissatisfied with this store, for over a month there are more empty shelves thought the store than there are filled ones, each time I have visited I have only come away with half of my shopping and had to go elsewhere to get the rest,

This isn't due to making room for seasonal goods as I was told by a member of staff unless you class cleaning produce, bread, tinned goods, fruit and veg, toiletries and all other catorgories as seasonal goods!!

I have just complained to another member of staff who told me it was due to a staff shortage, well I'm sorry but that doesn't wash, there are enough people desperate for jobs and you are a big enough business to employ more staff.

Has it got to a stage due to the recent opening of other food stores in the immediate vicinity that you just don't care any more.

I for one don't care about having to pay slightly more for my groceries in another shop because as it is I'm spending double on fuel having to go to another store to complete my shopping anyway.

Come on Tesco, pull your socks up and get back to the flagship store you used to be or risk loosing more customers who have been loyal to you since you opened!!!

May I suggest that the whole management team take a walk around the store and see just how bad it looks and is.

User

Went to do the Xmas food shop couldn't get round for cages you can expect some filling shelves etc but if there was an health and safety officer around I am sure he/she would have made you shut till it was safe again. And as for the some of the picking staff barging in front and pushing pass everyone. Not again.

User

To the night manager tonight my wife visited your store you verbally abused her,I'd just like to remind you,I don't make idle threats, watch out for me visiting a tesco near you soon

And to the security guard,I use this term loosely, you will regret what you said tonight.your that fat I bet you couldn't wipe your own ass.coming to a store near you.Tesco, revenge of the shopper.

User

So Having 2 orders cancelled on me this week. Without any notification. Not being offered a reschedule each time, being told I have to re order myself. Poor customer service. Being told that my order was not even known it’s whereabouts. Then to only be offered after half hour of being on hold a slot from 9-10 sat night. When my initial order was for Monday. Online ordering is meant to be convenient for working long hours/days. My fridge and freezer right now is nothing but inconvenient

User

Service very poor, sat amongst many tables with dirty plates on , I was told at 2.30pm that no warm food was available

So paid for a coffees and cakes and then was informed that there was warm food available as I was leaving the counter ?

If this was a standard cafe without the footfall from the store it wouldn’t be in business very long. The reviews show more 1 stars than 5 stars and I’d have thought Tesco management would have addressed this problem by now.........

User

If you have a relative that is old or disabled and receiving private or council funded care this is VERY important. I have just found out that when the Care agency do my shopping they refuse to bring my club-card but tell carers to use their own cards for my shopping. As I cannot get to the store at all, all the benefits -money off vouchers and coupons with offers are going to the carer not to me. I believe this is theft. I rang Tesco customer advice and their head office and I was told just to ring the agency. Tesco were not concerned at all that they allow theft of points and money off vouchers from their older and disabled customers. Shame on them. This is probably a nation-wide issue throughout all Care agencies.

User

I feel so sorry for the reindeer and donkey that you have at the store at the moment. Their cage is far too small, and the sheer number of people that are in and out your store at the moment must be stressing and frightening those poor animals!! Please reconsider having them in your store!! Animal exploitation is not entertainment!

User

Having just had my shopping delivered and normally the drivers are very helpful with helping me get my shopping out as I can't lift heavy stuff etc.. 2 have the driver just stand there not offer 2 help with his hand on door frame just watchimg me struggle and i had 2 ask for help he ended up just tipping it out on the floor for me 2 have to try and pick it up (is that ok he said )REALLY!!! am totally disgusted with how he was and a really good way for your driver 2 show ex customer service .. really thinking of changing ..

Bread now sold unwrapped for all to poke and prod. Saw a woman sneeze over it. Stood and watched and saw others coughing. One man even pulled some seeds of a seeded loaf, pop them in his mouth and walk away. This is a massive step backwards in health and safety. Guess who is going to Sainsburys next week?

Not again.

I feel so sorry for the reindeer and donkey that you have at the store at the moment. Their cage is far too small, and the sheer number of people that are in and out your store at the moment must be stressing and frightening those poor animals!! Please reconsider having them in your store!! Animal exploitation is not entertainment!

User

Aragant stsff who barge past you as if you're not there , order of products on shelfs makes no sense . only go there for convenience. Hate the place

User
