So, more about us!
Our names are Harry and Nate - Harry is 29, Nate is 28. Harry grew up in Hinckley and Nate grew up in Barwell, so we're both local to the area. We're not just best friends, we're an engaged couple who love to dance!
Harry is a trained dancer who has studied it since the age of 5, it has always been his passion. After finishing college, Harry went in to entertainment at places such as Butlin's, where he worked and danced alongside Stephen Mulhern, The Cheeky Girls and various other acts, and eventually choreographing shows for various holiday parks around the UK. Harry has also done TV and film work, most recently dancing in the latest Nativity movie (Nativity 3) where he danced with Adam Garcia (from Coyote Ugly and Judge on Got To Dance), and also performs in Musical Theatre productions - notably at The Concordia Theatre, Hinckley.
Nate is an experienced stage, podium and performance dancer. After dancing from a young age, he went in to dancing in nightclubs up and down the country, as well as at dance music festivals and events. Nate has danced for a multitude of DJs, including Lisa Lashes, The Tidy Boys and Boy George, and his claim to fame dancing for The Prodigy on the Radio 1 Stage at Creamfields. Nate also performs in Musical Theatre productions at The Concordia - such as the upcoming production of Guys & Dolls (May 5th - 16th) alongside Harry.
We both have a love of dance and, after performing together, we decided we wanted to pass on the joys we get. With Harry's formal training and Nate's experience, it just seems to work! We wanted a way to help people gain confidence whilst having fun, and so the dance classes started!
We currently run 2 different classes - both are held at John Cleveland College on various days of the week, both of them are £5 for an hour (with discount loyalty cards for anyone who comes regularly) - this includes a warm up, dance session and warm down.
HEELZ, which runs on a Monday evening (8: 30pm-9: 30pm) and a Saturday morning (9: 30am-10: 30am) is a sassy, sexy class where ladies can come and let out their inner diva by strutting their stuff in their heels. Harry and Nate both instruct the class wearing 6 inch heels, but that's just us (lol)! People wear all kinds of heels - from 1 inch to skyscrapers. . . some even do it in flats! The class focuses on boosting confidence, letting people enjoy their time and busting out some sassy routines to female empowering tracks, while showing the best and safest way to walk and dance in heels. This class is unique - there is nothing around featuring 2 guys in massive heels teaching ladies how to be the diva they should be!
The BEATZ, which runs on a Wednesday evening (8: 30pm-9: 30pm) and a Saturday morning (10: 30am-11: 30am) is a freestyle, commercial class with loads of attitude and energy. This is a more uptempo class designed to make you sweat! We take inspiration from all styles of dance - from street to Bhangra - and tailor routines to be fun and challenging at the same time. This class is designed to get you in shape - many of our members have lost weight and toned because of our classes, with one lady who does no other exercise apart from our classes has reported a 10lbs loss in the 4 months she has been coming along!
All classes are suited to any ability - experienced or not! All of the moves are broken down and, having 2 instructors, we can spread our time better across the whole class, with Harry leading the instruction from the front, and Nate within the class moving around to show people in more detail or help if they are struggling so nobody is left behind or getting bored. There is never a dull moment in classes, with laughter from start to finish, and everybody has said how welcoming the classes are - that's not just down to us, but the fabulous people that attend the classes!
We also arrange social events for class members - recently we've been out for a Sunday meal, been trampolining in Milton Keynes and have outings arranged including a summer party, and a trip to Blackpool in the pipeline.
We started the classes at John Cleveland College in February and it has been a pleasure from the beginning. We truly care for everyone that comes to the class, and we make it our mission to support and encourage everyone. Some of our members suffer with confidence issues, and have thanked us for the classes boosting their self image - we've even been told we've changed someone's life! So many of our members come to more than one class a week - some even come to every class we do! We have members from the age of 16 to 60 + , and every one of them is amazing.
Sorry the email has been very long, but we really wanted to get across how important this is to us, and our passion for what we do. We're really hoping you'll be able to feature us in some way, as we want to reach out to as many people as we can that need a little boost to make them feel better. We've attached a couple of pictures that we have - some of the class in swing, and a couple at the social events we've done recently - and also our flyers. We can happily take some more pictures of us dancing and the classes if you like?

This is a post to share the benefits of dance as a form of exercise.......
... "Two years ago I weighed 10 Stone 2pounds, not overweight by anyone's standard, but I felt my age, sluggish, out of breath, unfit, my clothes felt uncomfortable and I wasn't at all toned, lots of jiggly bits!
At the age of 49 menopause had well and truly set in and I also suffer with underactive thyroid which both contribute to weight gain.
I started to eat a little more healthily (portion control) I still eat my favourite things as I love food, (chocolate hob nobs especially) and to be fair, anyone who knows me know that I enjoy the odd pint of lager or four (which I still do)
Going to the gym or running was never an option for me as one, my knees hurt when I run and I get bored very quickly, so I wanted to share the benefits of active dance.
Dance classes do not feel at all like laborious exercise, the benefits include, laughter, weight loss, toning, making great friends and NEVER boring! I have never felt that I 'couldn't be bothered' with classes as it is actually so much fun! (In fact I do actually hate missing a class when I'm on vacation)
Two years on, and yes I am 51 years old! I am two stone lighter, eight stone one pound to be exact, my clothes feel better, dance has also helped me with my depression, anxiety and my hopeless lack of confidence which has plagued me for most of my adult life. I have more energy and the 'feel good ' factor leaves me buzzing! This is from only two classes a week!
I still enjoy my food, I most definitely still enjoy my pints of lager, dance just helps to keep my weight in check.
Bored with mundane exercise? Take up dance!!!
Exercise in a warm friendly environment with some of the best people ever! A big thankyou to Harry & Nate for helping me to lose my demons too and gain some confidence.

Well where do I start, have just finished Sophie's 7th birthday party at studio 17 with Harry and Nate and I have to say it's the best party Sophie has ever had and she has had some fantastic parties in the past, from start to finish the boys kept the children entertained and the personal touches the boys add make it even more special, they got Sophie a birthday present which is so cute and she has just opened it and loved it so much so thank you, also requesting play list in advance so that the child is guarenteed to be listening to the music they like. They are so fantastic at what they do and the most important thing I need to mention is with the Beatz parties you do nothing at all, everything is taken care of, all the games prizes everything, all you do is turn up on the day with a cake and that is it, sit back relax and watch your child have the most amazing time.
The facilities are great they are really modern and clean and have a lovely room for food and also tea coffee making facilities, they even have bottled water for the adults, like I said every little detail is taken care of. Sophie actually cried when the party was over this is how much she loved it. So thank you so so much for giving soph the best birthday and making everything so simple, the kids loved it, Sophie loved it and even the parents loved it. I recommend anyone looking for a party to use these guys as they are truely amazing.

We came to see your show tonight and I have to say that every single one of you should be sooooo proud of yourselves, you were brilliant, very energetic and most importantly you all looked as if you were thoroughly enjoying what you were doing. We will certainly be coming again to see any other shows you put on in the future and a tremendous well done to Harry and Nate for the hard work in putting together this wonderful show, you both should be very proud of all of your very talented dancers.

There are no words to describe how fun these classes are. I've been searching for years for an exercise class that I enjoy and don't dread going to! With this i actually look forward to going ÔŅĹ Harry and Nate are so lovely and welcoming. I have absolutely no dance experience but it doesn't matter they take you as you are and work with it.
Recently joined this dance family and totally fallen in love with dance all over again!! I really struggle with keeping fit as I just don't enjoy anything but dancing! the routines and choreography are amazing and really upbeat! all the people welcomed me in straight away and it's clear to see there are plenty of amazing friendships that have been made here. I would recommend this dance crew to anyone!! ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ
Just got home from my second session of Heelz, so happy I plucked up the courage to join, everyone is so welcoming! I wanted something fun to get me moving to aid my weight loss and I‚Äôve found it! Give it a go, you won‚Äôt regret it! I have zero dance experience and week two although far from perfect I‚Äôm feeling a lot more confident with the moves already. Fab group of people that make you feel nothing but welcome! ÔŅĹ
I have been coming to The Beatz classes for around six months and it is a joy to attend them every week.
Harry and Nate are such an all-round great pair; great choreographers, great teachers, enthusiastic, encouraging, and just brilliant fun. The other dancers are also a lovely bunch too. It's a real tight-knit community we have here- to the degree that I'll admit when I first joined I was worried about not fitting in, what with joining as an outsider- but everyone really makes you feel at home and part of the family.
This lot have really helped my self-assurance and would definitely say to anyone holding back because of shyness or confidence issues to just go for it.
I can't believe 8 months have passed already! At the beginning of the year it was suggested I came along and had a go because dancing is just one of those hobbies you have you can never really give up! I remember my first class and how I wondered what I'd let myself in for as my fitness levels were lower than I'd ever care to admit. Oh my days, I left that class so proud of myself and knew I'd got the bug back! These guys are amazing, their more than our teachers they're like family and I can't remember life without them! The last 8 months have been full of sassy family events, the carnival performance and of course our amazing show. I hope you don't mind but you've got me for life! xxx
As a newbie to the area, I joined the Beatz in the hope that I would meet some new people and find something that motivated me to get up and do some exercise. I danced when I was young and it was something I never thought I would get the chance to do again as a grown up...how wrong I was! These classes are Brilliant!
It doesn't matter what age you are, what size you are or whether or not you have danced before...every single person is made to feel welcome and are encouraged to get stuck in and have some fun.
Nate and Harry are both super talented and enthusiastic, but not only that...they are also absolutely hilarious! I can safely say I always leave their classes in high spirits...even after a really long day!
If you want to learn to dance, lose weight, meet people or just have a laugh with a great group of guys and gals then come and give The Beatz a try....I am so glad I did and I have never looked back ÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Just got home from my second session of Heelz, so happy I plucked up the courage to join, everyone is so welcoming! I wanted something fun to get me moving to aid my weight loss and I‚Äôve found it! Give it a go, you won‚Äôt regret it! I have zero dance experience and week two although far from perfect I‚Äôm feeling a lot more confident with the moves already. Fab group of people that make you feel nothing but welcome! ÔŅĹ
I have been coming to The Beatz classes for around six months and it is a joy to attend them every week.
Harry and Nate are such an all-round great pair; great choreographers, great teachers, enthusiastic, encouraging, and just brilliant fun. The other dancers are also a lovely bunch too. It's a real tight-knit community we have here- to the degree that I'll admit when I first joined I was worried about not fitting in, what with joining as an outsider- but everyone really makes you feel at home and part of the family.
This lot have really helped my self-assurance and would definitely say to anyone holding back because of shyness or confidence issues to just go for it.
I can't believe 8 months have passed already! At the beginning of the year it was suggested I came along and had a go because dancing is just one of those hobbies you have you can never really give up! I remember my first class and how I wondered what I'd let myself in for as my fitness levels were lower than I'd ever care to admit. Oh my days, I left that class so proud of myself and knew I'd got the bug back! These guys are amazing, their more than our teachers they're like family and I can't remember life without them! The last 8 months have been full of sassy family events, the carnival performance and of course our amazing show. I hope you don't mind but you've got me for life! xxx
As a newbie to the area, I joined the Beatz in the hope that I would meet some new people and find something that motivated me to get up and do some exercise. I danced when I was young and it was something I never thought I would get the chance to do again as a grown up...how wrong I was! These classes are Brilliant!
It doesn't matter what age you are, what size you are or whether or not you have danced before...every single person is made to feel welcome and are encouraged to get stuck in and have some fun.
Nate and Harry are both super talented and enthusiastic, but not only that...they are also absolutely hilarious! I can safely say I always leave their classes in high spirits...even after a really long day!
If you want to learn to dance, lose weight, meet people or just have a laugh with a great group of guys and gals then come and give The Beatz a try....I am so glad I did and I have never looked back ÔŅĹÔŅĹ
