User

What an amazing space to host live music. I had the pleasure of playing there last night and I was astounded by the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. They perfectly facilitated the presentation of art work, slide show and music- and created a great atmosphere with candles and lighting. Well done :-D

User

Was there last night for the Skindred gig! They had the place bouncing! Always love a gig at the Bricky!

User

Travelled from Edinburgh to the venue for Die No More EP Launch on Friday 9th September. What an awesome venue. Hope to return one day

User

The Brickyard is an excellent for performing Groups. The acoustics are superb. Only one fault it needs more tables and chairs to accommodate the "older" visitors.

User

Small venue compared to some that are around, but it is a magic place to be and the acoustics, sound are brilliant.

Recommended to go if you get the chance

User

Outstanding regional venue - great team behind it...and a great all round ethic. Wish there were more ventures like this all over the UK!!

User

Is the only venue locally where can still hear good live bands! Use it or lose it :(

User

I've been gan down the Brickie since it opened. I've had some of the best nights out there...ever! And I've had some good nights out, believe you me.

User

I travel from Central Scotland to host my Fools Gold Indie Clubnight here...brilliant venue, great team of people, amazing crowd. One of the best venues I've DJ'd at !

User

Had a great night out with hubby Sue Kimberly Michael

User

Great venue. Easy to get to. Very reasonable bar prices. Close to great local pub, Kings Head. Such a good atmosphere.

User

Great venue, good bar brilliant atmosphere. Our first time there last night to see Springsteen Sessions- they put on an absolutely fantastic performance. We've already got a couple of other visits lined up.

User

Great venue to listen to music. The Smyths were excellent, the place was bouncing. Bar prices were reasonable too. Brilliant night out.

User

Great venue for gigs. Acoustics fantastic and PA crystal clear in terms of sound. Also a good relaxed place. Nice vibes all round.

User

Great venue and great staff. We have used the venue twice for our event Zen Mischief and there really isn't a better medium sized dance and concert venue in Cumbria.

User

Great that their is a place for decent bands to play in the city. Appreciate all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes

User

Great place, lovely atmosphere, reasonable ticket prices

User

Great night watching The Damned and support. A fantastic small venue for live music.

User

User

For the last 5 years, I have travelled from Manchester to attend Rockmantic Weekender. It is one of the best Underground Festival, with acts from across the UK and Europe. I would highly recommend The Brickyard if you like Headbanging and meet some very fine people

User

Fantastic wee place just love this wee pocket of Carlisle had some brilliant nights out here over the years :)

User

Fantastic venue great friendly staff. Well worth the 3 hour drive hope to visit again soon

User

Brilliant venue. Awesome manager/promoter and honestly one of the best setups I've ever had the pleasure to play.

User

Brickyard is awesome epic best spots for gigs and bands

User

Brickyard is a great venue. Bar staff are spot on and hot! Decently priced drinks, £3.30p for a pint of Fosters. Clean toilets is a bonus. Candles n that is quite cool. I`d live there.

User

Amazing (if not very hot) night watching Dreadzone. Very reasonable drinks and an intimate venue

User

Ace venue....great vibe...very cool stage and facilities...only gripe was load out...fab time there...

User

A nice, intimate music venue. I’ve seen a few bands here and it’s nice to be able to get up so close to them. Staff were friendly and helpful.

User

excellent venue great sound and the barstaff were very fast even though the night was quite busy great atmosphere

User

Needs air conditioning!!! Also, women's toilets being right at the front by the stage during a busy gig like last night, just no way of getting there!!

User

It is a great venue for music with good beer and efficient bar staff that even when busy make sure you don't wait to long. Only one small critical note: Why do they insist on having the bands amplifiers on full blast? Good sound does not mean loudest sound. Music is usually a wall of noise where you can not actually hear the music properly. Yes it does need to be loud to have a good atmosphere but in a small venue like the Brickyard gig goer's need to hear the music not be blasted by it. The old fire station and the source seem to have a better balance between sound quality and loudness of music.

User

Good venue that needs to get on more

touring bands lists especially rock blues bands like Simon McBride.

User

First visit last night - really enjoyed the Springsteen sessions and the venue was very good. Another plus was the bar prices, very reasonable and friendly staff too.

User

First time in The Brickyard, went to see Nothing but thieves, small but great venue with a fab atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing more bands in the future !

User

Been to the brickyard a few times now it's a great night, not a bad location, bar staff pleasant enough however please invest in some air conditioning! It's always absolutely redders in there!!

User

Atmospheric place with friendly staff and a great sound as a music venue. Will certainly be back

User

A great wee venue ... go hear some awesome talent
