Here at Rye Cafe & Bar all of our dishes are freshly cooked on site by our team. As well as the usual classic dishes your would expect to find on a cafe menu, we also offer a range of ever-changing daily specials.
We will also be very happy to advise you on any dietary or allergy information that you may need. Please just ask a member of the Rye team. We also offer gluten free bread as an alternative to any of our baguettes.
We are proud to serve coffee supplied by artisan roasters, 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters, who deliver freshly roasted beans to us every week. We are currently serving their house blend of Brazilian, Vietnamese and Colombian beans as our espresso, and an Indian mountain water decaf. All our coffee is ground fresh to order.

We visited on 31st August to celebrate our late father's birthday. The food and service were great. When we were there a man and his two very young daughters arrived, the male member of staff provided the toddler with a smaller version of her Dad's smoothie, with a miniature straw of her own. The little girl was so pleased and her Dad commented on the exceptional service. Just wanted to make sure that this extra mile service is recognised and made a breakfast with two little ones much easier for their parent.
Valentines Dinner in a lovely Bistro setting, on arrival shown to our table and offered a glass of prosecco, as we had pre ordered this gave us time to browse the wine list. The Malbec seemed in order and well priced, we were left to chat, and reminisce, the starters arrived. Scallops on a beetroot purée, and a beurreblanc, the earthy sweet beetroot complimented the tender sweet scallops, main course was a ribeye steak, field mushroom grilled tomato watercress and what i would call pommes-pont-neuf or big fat chips as some would say, and a mini jug of béarnaise sauce, I usually have my steak blue but ribeye needs a little longer due to the marbling of fat, very rare and perfect, it melted in your mouth and the Malbec enhanced the flavour, finished off with a selection of cheese, throughout the whole meal we were not hassled only seeing the waitress when she was needed,
A lovely experience and I would recommend dining out here to anyone, unassuming and friendly, do try.

Just had a fabulous lunch here: the food was fresh, homemade and delicious, and the staff so friendly. Highly recommended. (Cheese burger, pesto pasta and ham,egg & chunky chips - so good �)
I love this place at any time of day! The service is always exceptional and you are made to feel like a valued customer. The bar staff are consistently friendly, however busy they are, and they have a good selection of food and drinks. Me and a friend stumbled on the 'Ladies Night' accidentally one Wednesday (it's the first Weds of the month) and the food was amazing, and at a great price too! It's gems like this that make Beeston a fantastic alternative to going into the city.
Had breakfast here yesterday morning and got to say it was delicious, everything tastes fresh and was well cooked. I swapped a few items out and they were fine with that. What really made the visit was the staff were friendly and as I was leaving I saw a member of the staff assisting an older customer to butter their scone/bam cake style thing. Really just ticked all the boxes for me.

Came here for the first time with my father and sister today and cannot recommend highly enough... lovely atmosphere and staff and what a great feeling to finally find somewhere that does great homecooked food without the monotony of the generic pub grub from a chain pub .... will definitely be returning

Food - fantastic, choice of drinks is amazing, very skilled Barista's if you like your coffee, 200 degrees coffee is the best I have ever tasted.

Good food. Some dishes are much better than others, but that's a matter of taste and opinion. The Burgers are excellent. Service is very good. The coffee is great, best flat white I have had in a restaurant this year.

Excellent evening spent at Rye. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, and great food (but please add more vegetarian options!).
Restaurant was full , and seems like they were not prepared to have a full place , took 45 minutes for the food . I ordered fish and chips , chips were overcooked , almost burned ; fish was tasteless and smash peas was very dried . My companion ordered pasta and didn't finish it , taste was very strange . I wouldn't recommend it , sorry .
Nice evening with a friend, wine was lovely however service not great. Ordered drinks at the bar had to wait instead of them bringing them to our table as it wasn't busy at all, then ordered a second round at the bar and they said they would bring them to us but waited twenty minutes and then had to go outside and ask for them.
I like Rye, it's a really nice venue & I really want you to do well. But ... please sort yourselves out! I've been on a number of occasions & the food has always been good. However, the service is generally friendly, but hopeless.
The 1st time I ate at Rye in the evening, there were only 2 tables eating. The waitress took every course to the wrong table!
My experience last week was the worst to date. 6 friends & I had booked a table at 8 for our Christmas meet-up. We weren't quick to order food, nor was the food quick to come - but when it did it was nice enough. The waiter checked we were ok, then left us alone/ forgot about us for the rest of the evening. When we called him back at 9.30 to clear the table & ask for the dessert menu, we were told, no desserts, 'kitchen shuts at 9.' Why take a booking for a dinner for 7 at 8pm if your kitchen shuts at 9? Seriously? Gob-smacking. Cut our evening dramatically short & somewhat ruined it. The place should be buzzing on a Friday night - such a shame - please get your act together as there's so much great potential.
Overrated! Only gave is one start for the 200 degree coffee.
Ordered all day breakfast, English breakfast tea and and a ginger beer. Only the tea came, after 25-30 mins waiting for food I was told the waitress forgot to put my order through. I was told by the manager I wouldn't be charged for the food (still no ginger beer) and it would be with me asap. Another 25 mins later still no food. It wasn't even that busy. When I tried to cancel my food the managers attitude stank as he was quite rude. I'm personally not surprised it wasn't busy, if this is how you treat people. Will not be going again.
My husband and I ordered sandwiches and 2 cups of tea. After 20 minutes waiting we still hadn't got our tea. I didn't want them to dig a well for the water, getting it from the tap to the kettle would have been sufficient! After 25minutes we walked out and went to BEAN near Sainsbury's. We were served immediatel and the staff were super friendly and efficient.
I won't be going back to Rye again.
