We celebrated our Daughters BIRTHDAY!! Last night There was eight of us It was lovely the food the clientele was excellent we left a very good tip considering the restaurant was full to the brim , timings for all courses were all in good time xx we will be returning in the new year !!

The perfect venue for my informal birthday lunch with the family including two tiny grandchildren. Quirky, relaxed, with good service and friendly staff. We enjoyed our meals and didn’t feel rushed at all. A lovely afternoon!

The food was brilliant and the lady was lovely and brought my dog some treats . The service was great and we got our order very quickly.

I went for lunch with my very noisy family today. The food, staff and venue is just perfect. Warm, welcoming and fabulous x

A super venue for my Paint a Pot with Tooty parties. Staff always really friendly and helpful and the children love the food, space and colouring sheets!

7 of us had celebration lunch today was extremely good excellent food. all arrived at once, waitress kept asking if everything okay and if we wanted anything else. everything was cooked really well, nothing a problem as in previous comments. highly recommended as a fun place to eat with a great atmosphere, in a lovely building, will definitely come again.

Quirky setting and artefacts. Area and lots of toys for little ones . Food was excellent and good value. Enjoyed the cocktails. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was the slow service - getting a table, taking order, menu , bill etc but would go back again

It’s a large but rather beautifully converted old post delivery warehouse with a stunning Victorian bar. The food is good as is the service and the prices are reasonable. We visit it every time we’re in Stamford.

Arrived on time for our reservation at 7.15. We were shown to a quiet spot in the corner where we could see virtually everything & where it was away from the hustle & bustle of families with young children (not a problem for us, but we were glad as we wanted a quiet relaxed evening). Drinks & food order taken quite quickly & drinks arrived promptly (food took almost half an hour), a little slow & had it been any longer we may have mentioned it, but we weren’t in a hurry. Good food, good service & reasonably priced (although quite pricey for a bottle of prosecco)! Lovely old building. Reviews for this place are mixed & a lesson for the staff to take note of. Has good potential & we love a good Cosy Club. Responding to people’s reciews is a good sign from the management too - shows you care (especially as the customer has taken the trouble to do one). We will definitely Be back.

Unfortunately the waiter came to check everything was okay near the end of our meal and I had a mouthful so could not say that I was not really enjoying my meal. The shared starters were good and no one ordered pudding so can’t comment on that. Steak tasted good but completely over-cooked and very oily chips which I didn’t eat. Nice restaurant, good atmosphere and good wait staff.

Stood at the entrance for 2 minutes whilst the 4 staff who weren't doing anything behind the bar decided who wanted to come and show us to a table, so not a great start. However, the food was excellent and the service was first class. Lovely decor and atmosphere, will definitely go again.

Went to The Cosy Club for my work Christmas party on Friday night and was quite disappointed. I arrived to find that everyone had a seat but me which made me feel really uncomfortable. I’m not sure how this happened as we had told you how many people were coming. Our table was eventually rearranged. Our sharing starter platters came promptly however the ciabatta bread and sauces thy were stated on the menu did not arrive. The main course and dessert also arrived promptly however I found the food to be poor.

I would not recommend The Cosy Club.

To be fair, the food was great and was served quickly. What was really lacking was the service. We were seated quickly and having checked the drinks menu, were going to opt for the cocktail offer. However, our waiter told us that it wasn’t effective today (13th December) despite the offer saying it was available from 13th December. When I challenged this he said “ye...

from...” so apparently not including. Whenever does anything become effective from a date that doesn’t include that actual date!?!? He then advised “I don’t make the rules!” No good sir, because if you did, you’d be dangerous. Can someone please provide clarity to your staff as to how these offers work. Some basic customer service training wouldn’t go amiss either.



The shouty drunk couple sat at the table next to us (despite the restaurant being virtually empty) were also rather annoying and when I said we’d take coffee over on the sofas as they were distracting, the waiter’s response was “I can’t control the clientele”. An interesting experience tonight to say the least. Safe to say, a tip wasn’t left.

I've been to cosy club a few times, always thought it was nice. Decided to have a day out and some lunch there, and since it was dog friendly we brought the dog too. Arrived there at 2pm , the restaurant was busy however we only wanted a casual seat in the bar areas. The waitress told us we could order off the limited lunch menu for where we were sitting. We then went to the bar to order drinks and food only to get told we cannot have food. The bartender (very rude throughout) laughed at us and asked who told us we could do that. In which the manager also came over to him and almost shouted "how many more times do I have to say no". So even though we had settled down and was ready to order we were declined food options and where told only food was being served in the restaurant ( no dogs permitted obviously). I always thought the service there was good but today has put me off completely and me and my companions where outraged in the way the staff spoke to us and handled the situation!!!! � ...... The Toby Norris is now our go to in Stamford (5*)

Have to say very disappointed with this restaurant. Slow service, waiter very rude! Food was average (certainly not worth the price). 2 lots of chips sent back as they were cold, rice was dry, naan bread overcooked so hard, veg curry just tasted of tomato. Music was so loud you could not even talk to the person opposite you. Why is it called 'The Cosy Club?' Certainly nothing 'cosy' about it. Won't be going again!
