About The Cradock Arms

Spacious award-winning pub-restaurant in the heart of Knighton, Leicester. Hugely popular menu, attractive walled beer garden & large car park.

The Cradock Arms Description

Part of the Everards estate since 1925, The Cradock Arms has been has just benefitted from a major refurbishment throughout and we’re very proud to be able to give the pub back to the local community. Although the changes give a more modern and contemporary finish, we’ve retained the traditional features of the pub such as the splendid thatched roof and oak beams.

As well as a complete redecoration throughout the pub, there is an extended bar, a new patio area and we have introduced disabled facilities making it more accessible to the local community.

We've made an executive decision that winter is definitely over, so The Cradock snow scene on our profile has been replaced by something more up-to-date, seasonal and befitting of these warm days and bright sunny evenings. Hope you like it, and we will see you at The Cradock - maybe in our recently transformed beer garden - soon!

We are pleased to inform you that the refurbishment of the Ladies toilets has now started. For health and safety reasons a screen has temporarily been fitted to allow tradesmen access without interfering with restaurant service. People are still able to use the disabled toilet which has a baby changing table or use the toilets located in the lower part of the building. We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for bearing with us.
Kind regards Team Cradock

myself and my 5 friends ate dinner at the Craddock last night, it was a thoroughly great experience starting with wonderful service, we were really looked after well....the food was truely delicious....a definite return for us.....highly recommended....many thanks

User

it was absolutely superb, catered for wake and food was excellent it was my Grandma's favorite pub, she loved there fish and chips god rest her soul....

User

We have been visiting here for a long while now, as it is our local, both for a drink but more often for food. We find it extremely family friendly and great value for money.

If you have any allergy issues all the waiting staff all have a good knowledge of the dishes and can advise on what is suitable.

It is absolutely spotless, you can also see the kitchen and the meals cooked through a large 'window/serving area' and everything is always immaculately presented.

The Landlord and Landlady are very hands-on which is always nice to see and the head waitress is very friendly along with all of the staff.

The specials board is changed regularly and there is something for everyone on the menu from Bangers and Mash to Vietnamese Salad!

There is a wonderful atmosphere whether on a first date or visiting with four children!

We have never, ever, had a bad experience here, we cannot recommend it highly enough.

I will say though, because so many other people think it's so good too, we always book a night or two in advance to avoid disappointment!

User

This place is brilliant... we're not local, but this is our place of choice to eat at, when we're in the area. Fantastic food, great beer, attentive and polite staff, and now even better after the stunning refurb. Highly recommended.

User

My partner brought me here on our first date a few years ago, and this was my first of now many visits! Always very happy with the food and service, a great atmosphere too. Always look forward to visiting and we have brought friends and family along who rate it highly too, we LOVE eating out and we are never disappointed! Keep up the good work ☺️

User

Lovely sunny afternoon in the beer garden. Dog friendly garden, great beer.

User

It's my local pub, living in Knighton all my life, it's always been my local! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is always great and the owners are really lovely. Pub quiz is always good fun, and their club sandwich is probably the best you could find! My grandads first Job as a young lad was to re-thatch the roof here, so the cradock will always be special to me! Best pub for miles. In the winter open fires and Cosy corners in the summer a pretty walled garden and streaming sunlight! What's not to love?!

User

Great food and excellent service. Thanks especially to Natalie, Dave and the rest of the team for going the extra mile to make space for a family with a disabled child (when you were already fully booked). We'll definitely be back!

User

Food is lovely nice staff love the food will go back in the weekend coming lol xx beautiful xxx

User

User

Had lovely fish and chips lunch yesterday with light batter coated cod and crispy chip just as I like them. Prompt and friendly service

User

Fab food, fab place, lovely beer garden. Staff were good when serving, but they were very busy, but so long as you caught their attention by speaking up, absolutely fine. Will definitely go again. Porto chicken is lush!

User

The food is delicious, great value, but service if you go in the week is horrific - the waiting staff are cold and rude. I got tutted at for asking for mayonnaise!!!

User

Found out today that their chicken is halal but not the meat, as i only eat chicken i had no main, why cannot a nice restaurant use a good british farmer who slaughter their livestock in a humane manor, sadly wont be returning

User

Disappointed. . We were a big family party a lot of us had the lamb shank it was bearly warm when it arrived . When I spoke to a young lady about it all she kept saying was , As it came out of the kitchen it was hot but it wasn't when it reached our table plus the fact they added a £5.00 charge never ever heard that before but in actual fact they took it off . But I didn't eat mine like many. . The sweet was Beautiful but again had to wait ages before it came to the table . Which this was our second big family gathering and on that occasion was brill both service and food ..

User

Very disappointed waited an hour for staters then they brought pudding out before the main they took them back brought the main of which was two roast potatoes two small parsnips meat one Yorkshire pudding and some veg the servers was terrible had about 4 different staff that didn't know what they where doing wnt b going again

User

Dreadful place, toilets had no soap, & broken toilet seat. Why spend money on refurbishment and have dirty toilets and poor service. It was a special birthday and was ruined. Last time I ever want to go there! Food was good however!
