Wow - staff were superb from the minute we arrived, we were a group of 4 ladies staying the night to sample a taste of Stamford - it did not disappoint our highlights were nick the night porter that despite the hour we rolled back in he was happy and ready to serve us a night cap and listen to our tales - the rooms were comfortable and had everything we could of asked for- breakfast was well needed and a great choice on offer - we loved all the local produce supplied but the full English was the only thing to satisfy our impending hangovers - we cannot rate this hotel and the staff more highly - thank you for making our experience one to remember and hopefully one to repeat!

This hotel is just perfect. The car park is gated and easy to find with quick access to reception. A lovely welcome by well dressed staff. Given a choice of the luxury rooms we weren’t disappointed. Beautifully decorated with a large bed in a large room. The bed is beautifully presented & made with spotless white cotton soft bedding. We chose to have a room with large walk in shower again clean & decor is superb. We dined in & offered restaurant or bar area. The staff are friendly welcoming without been intrusive. I adored watching them work & greet guests. All staff work well as a team. Can’t fault decor in any area of the hotel. Menu is varied & great choice of fresh produce presented well & tasting delicious. A busy night & lovely attentive quick service. We were celebrating my fella proposing & didn’t want a fuss. Lovely people & venue.

The Crown - very central to Stamford provided very stylish comfortable quiet accommodation despite the Fun Fair being in town! Absolutely fabulous hospitality (best I've ever had to be fair) with every member of staff ready with a smile and a helping hand. Superb breakfast this morning to see us off on our travels - we will stay again!!

Such a welcoming place, staff really cared and so helpful in making a special evening. Food was amazing, plenty of choice.

Sadly arrived quite late after a long flight & drive from Gatwick, but rooms lovely & bed very comfortable. Would highly recommend & hope to go back soon and enjoy an evening meal if the breakfast is anything to go by...amazing!

Really nice, comfortable, relaxing place with helpful and pleasant staff. A good vibe about the place, one that needs returning to time and again!

Recently had a team meeting there, with overnight accommodation and evening meal.The food is always great and they cater well for those of us with certain intolerances. Everyone was complimentary about their rooms, the food and the good beer (or in my case, gin!) and I can see this becoming a tradition with the team to come here for our meeting.

Myself and my husband stayed here 3 nights in room 11 from the 20th-23rd I must say we had a fabulous stay the room was lovely, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the room service to breakfast service was fantastic. Thankyou for a great few days. Hart’s.

Myself and my husband come to The Crown Hotel quite often, we always find it a very warm relaxing place to be! The room we stayed in last night had recently been refurbished and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back soon.

My friend and I dined here at lunchtime today while visiting Stamford, we are from out of the area, so we don't know the Crown. The ambience, staff, food and service were superb, Thank you.

We will certainly recommend and be back when next in the area.

Impromptu lunch with my daughter. Very relaxed atmosphere. Dogs welcome. Food excellent and so tasty. Staff friendly, polite and nothing too much trouble.

Held my 50th birthday meal here in the room upstairs. It was amazing from start to finish. The team were so accommodating and the food was delicious. Our event coordinator Josh was brilliant, a five star service on all fronts.

Great place to have lunch as we have done many times. A trip to Stamford is not complete without a meal in the Crown Hotel. The staff are attentive and pleasant the food is always excellent.

A fantastic place to stay. The staff were warm and welcoming. Lots of little touches make the place feel special, particularly the delivery of little jugs of fresh milk with a side of delicious flap jacks after our long drive.

We stayed in the family room which is beautifully decorated and a great size. The only thing I would recommend is a little lamp or light by desk so you can use the mirror more easily.

Looking forward to returning in summer to have drinks in the lovely courtyard. Xxx

We had a lovely evening with friends. Beautiful food well presented and served by very friendly staff. Kelly in particular was great fun and engaged with us every time she came to to the table. The red wines were also excellent and complimented the food perfectly. Can’t wait to return.

Nice hotel, lovely size room, great hospitality. Love the idea of the little 'Milk fridge' although we'd brought out own - wish other hotels would do more of this as there's nothing worse than having those milk pods when looking forward to a nice cuppa after a long journey.

My husband was meeting others who'd booked in as part of a reunion and you made sure there was enough tables for them to partake in a meal when it wasn't pre-booked. Breakfast was good and once more we were met with smiling friendly faces.

The worst thing here was the noise from outside that went on in to the early hours of the morning!!

The bed was comfortable although I found the chairs in the window to low and the desk chair was very rickety - accident waiting to happen on that !

The food was really lovely and the decor was great too.

What let it down massively was the hopeless service. No one brought us a menu. My friend and I had to get up from out table 4 separate times to find a member of staff to order each stage of the meal including coffee and the bill. The restaurant staff were standing around chatting to each other with their backs to the dining room. The service was half hearted and indifferent. Really disappointing. I would be too embarrassed to invite anyone there after that. No wonder it was empty! The staff seriously need training and supervision.

Nice ambience , hot veg good variety. Lamb very rare and stringy. I personally like my gravy in a gravy boat my meal was swimming.
