Went yesterday for a meal with friends. Absolutely delicious. Lived locally many years ago and now live in Sheffield but definitely worth the travel. Disappointing to start with as i waited over ten minutes to be served at the bar. Only one working and was very apologetic and trying her best. Food made up for it.

Went tonight for my husbands 60th birthday meal, first time we’ve been, I can truly say the service was 5* plus as was the food.. they all made his night one to remember, nothing was too much trouble, thank you all for a beautiful meal and hospitality given to us ���

We booked for a party of 8 yesterday. Wow what a lovely meal. Great place to eat 5☆. The steak and ale pie was crammed full of meat. Fish and chips, should be whale and chips. Everyone fully enjoyed their meals. The sticky toffee pudding was beyond belief. Loved it

The Devonshire, had a fantastic evening on Saturday to celebrate my birthday with friends, the meal was beautiful, the menu was great for me being Gluten free. I was at the Devonshire the day after for Sunday lunch, to celebrate my father in laws Birthday, Another fantastic meal, the staff was fantastic too. Can't wait for my next visit.

Thank you for a wonderful Birthday Sunday lunch experience with our family. Yesterday could not have gone any better.

The service, the food and the whole Devonshire experience was a top 10/10!

To seat and serve 14 people in a timely & professional manner isn’t easy, but you literally pulled out all the stops.

Also, as promised to the family, me & my partner have dined with you previously, the ‘School days Cornflake Tart’ went down a treat too!

Sunday lunch � 2 like beef 2 don’t happy to accommodate with more well done beef which all 4 plates were succulent. The veg was brilliant all steamed to perfection- I could have just happily eaten the veg bowl! The staff were brilliant on the nail!

Dessert we only had one the bake well tart which was delicious

We had Merlot and savingion blanc both lovely wines. All in all faultless and not rip off price.

Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back �

Quality food, staff are amazing and so attentive, quick serving meals, you just can’t go wrong with this place. Thank you for a lovely Sunday roast, we have been numerous times but today we came for Mother’s Day and brought my mum, absolutely fantastic as always �

Our first time at The Devonshire and what a lovely meal we had. The food was amazing and the service was excellent by all the staff. Definitely will be going back.

My wife and I had our 25th wedding anniversary meal here last night and loved every minute, outstanding food and outstanding staff, I could not give less than a deserved 5 stars, keep up the excellent work

My lord fantastic, great food superb atmosphere, great staff, if you want a nice romantic meal or just quick but to eat I would recommend amazing

Lovely surroundings, Langwith is a great village. The food was absolutely excellent.

On the downside, we were shown to a table in a dark corner. When we asked if we could have a table in a brighter place, the waitress said it would be difficult as they were busy, then agreed to give us an alternative. We looked around and the restaurant was empty. There was no reason for her to be difficult. A bit of a Faulty Towers moment �. Apart from this we enjoyed a lovely meal.

Just got back from a lovely meal at The Devonshire. Was a recommendation and will definitely be returning. The food was excellent and really big portions. Can highly recommend the fish cake for starter it was amazing! Compliments to the chef! Looking forward to our next visit already!

Absolutely stunning food as always. The lamb shank shepherds pie is beautiful. Will definitely be having that again .

A big shout out to "Sam" and the staff at the Devonshire, i had been arranging a few things with "Sam" for my Mum and Dads 50th wedding anniversary bearing in mind I'm in Canada 5500 miles away, i entrusted what was arranged to "Sam" and all went better than i had expected, to see my mum and dads faces from the surprise was priceless, thankyou very much, oh and sam is one of the most polite and helpful people i have ever spoke to, "customer service at its finest"

We booked for 2.30 on a very busy Sunday as a birthday treat for me. Just the two of us. We were seated quickly and the waiting staff were very attentive. Unfortunately the food fell well below the excellent meal I was anticipating. I had roasted chicken breast that was very dry. The Yorkshire was no better than one that had been sitting on a carvery for an hour under a heat lamp. The roast potatoes were also past their best and tough. The gravy was incredibly salty. The fresh veg were nicely cooked and happily edible. I didn't complain. I could see it was busy and probably a Sunday afternoon wasn't the best time to visit for the first time. Maybe we will try another time but today wasn't the special treat I was looking forward to. Sorry.

First time meal here after all the hype we've heard about it. First impressions was the small bar littered with stools blocking the bar. Gang of male and female drinkers loud and swearing. My wife and I had fillet steak . The meat was delicious but the fries almost black.not the best plate of food for over£24 each. Have to say the staff and service were excellent and friendly. The place is done out nice , but I think lacks atmosphere. We both had raspberry cheesecake for pudding, very nice but again overpriced at nearly £6 each. Back to the bar after our meal , no atmosphere at all . Nothing to keep you drinking after eating. Lacks character. If you want to spend similar money locally to eat and have a good pub vibe before and after dinner , the Greendale oak is much better.

We booked a table for 8 people, service incredibly slow but it was Sunday, orders mixed up, veg arrived 10 minutes after dinner BUT the nail in the coffin was.... £13.50 for a double gin and tonic!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!! Wouldn’t expect to pay that anywhere, never mind in Langwith!!! Will never return after staffs attitude when confronted about this!!!

Been quite a few times and always been great, but tonight for my wife’s birthday really disappointed, food over cooked, not a good meal at all don’t like to complain so when ask why we had not eaten or meals we were perlite

We were very disappointed on Saturday, after visiting a numerous amount of times before and being 100% happy with the food and service,

We decided to pop into The Devonshire with our 7 month old baby in his pushchair at 5.15 on Saturday evening,it was very quiet and many tables free but we was turned away being told there was a table for 2 but no room for a pushchair. Very disappointed to be told this at a family restaurant
