Just a short walk from Chatsworth House, our Inn and its 18 beautiful en-suite bedrooms blend an idyllic village setting with contemporary comfort. Each of our rooms are individually furnished, and equipped with the little extras to make your stay a truly memorable one.
There’s nothing quite like a traditional English village Inn to warm your soul. And with its AA Rosette, five-star rating, and recognition in the Michelin Guide, The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is as much an experience as it is a pub.
After a day of exploring the Peak District National Park, sit back with a local craft ale, a glass of fine wine, or choose from our range of over 20 gins. We also serve a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates in the bar. For warmer days, why not dine out on our newly designed Garden Terrace, with heaters available for when the sun goes down.

We’ve had a lovely time here. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, the breakfasts and dinners delicious. Staff made us most welcome, and nothing has been too much trouble. We can highly recommend the Devonshire Arms.
Very welcoming on arrival, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Booked a table for a meal in a few weeks time with friends.
This is my absolute favourite pub ! We have been every year in my birthday for about ten years and each year it gets better and better . Didn’t realise that you can now reserve tables aswell which you didn’t used to be able to. The mushroom starter and venison main course I had yesterday was divine .
This is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dove Cottage was our accommodation which was just across the road from the main pub/restaurant. It had all that we needed in the room including luxury toiletries. The food was really excellent. Maybe there could have been a choice of various fruits at the buffet table for breakfast. Highly recommended.
The most wonderful kipper pate and divine ox cheek. Fabulous as always
The best Whitebait I think I've ever had outside Spain. Fantastic. The bread and butter budding was pretty good too!
Soooo friendly and even managed to fit us in on Mother’s Day. Best Calamari I have ever eaten and lovely Sunday lunch. Pleased it is dog friendly so we can go again with our Tilly Trotter.
Return stay in suite above Inn . Fantastic night , couldn’t fault anything . Room clean , comfy and cosy with views of the Christmas tree outside . Made us feel very festive . Love the addition of mini bar in the room , very tempting after having a lovely meal ! Can’t wait to return in April to celebrate my birthday !
Probably the best place I have eaten in years. Lovely place full of character, comfortable tables and chairs. Food was absolutely fantastic and service was really good with efficient friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Our second visit and just as good! Our room has been refurbished - although I thought it was lovely before - and it is gorgeous. Lots more goodies in the room which is fab but not good for my diet! The food is very good and the staff very helpful and friendly and we can bring our dog! Brilliant!
My first visit.. Had booked the Christmas visit to chatsworth house/market. Came with a friend ,room was clean and comfy with everything you need.. staff very friendly and welcoming. Evening meal and drinks were spot on! Breakfast was amazing. My first visit but definitely not my last!!! Will be booking soon for a night away with my husband.. I know he will love it too!!
Just had a two night stay here as a Christmas break. Lovely lovely lovely, accommodation clean and comfortable, food delicious, staff very helpful. Toilet flush broke on our first morning, mentioned it to the waitress at breakfast and by the time we returned to our room it had been fixed. Do friendly, and we were all made to feel very welcome in the bar at meal times, lots of tickles for the fur babies from the staff. We will definitely visit again

Couldn't have asked for a better overnight stay! The rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated, it's a pleasure to have something different to a standard non individual hotel room.
We had dinner in the bar area, which was comfortable and the staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome and help us to enjoy the amazing food and scrumptious wine. We tried the cocktails and the floater coffee too and was not disappointed!
The breakfast was way higher than expected! It is genuinely the best English breakfast I have ever had, the bacon was more like a succulent gammon steak!!
We will be coming back without a doubt!! Just superb!!
Room comfortable and reasonably well appointed ( a little freshening in some areas ie carpet might be good). A hook or two to hang washbag etc in the bathroom ( or a larger shelf) would be helpful. Other than that... friendly and helpful staff, enjoyable dinner and breakfast. Will stay again.
We have visited several times over the last few years after the Chatsworth Christmas market and have always really enjoyed it. However we were really disappointed this year. We had the Steak & Ale pie which was although packed with meat was very dry and had too much thick pastry. There was little flavour to the pie and after being told it was served with seasonal veg, it actually arrived with smashed peas. One of the waitresses had an incident with the cheeseboard table and proceeded to rant about how badly her day was going right behind us. Quite unprofessional. Such a shame as it was also my Birthday �
Nice staff and nice place but we felt it was quite expensive for the food you were given. Sausage and mash didn't get served with peas, I had the halloumi but felt it could have done with a side salad or some other side option too for more balance.
