We're not local to Nottingham unfortunately but came in early before an Ice Hockey match. We didn't know what to expect but as gamers at home, we had an awesome time and spent around 4 hours there but didn't want to leave! Plenty of choice and plenty on the menu, the coffee is delicious too! Thanks guys

We went past the dice cup today not expecting to stay for a game. As regular visitors as ludorati we went in to see how the dice cup compared and it couldn't really be any more different.

Now don't get me wrong, I like ludorati and I will go back there but the dice cup took us by storm. The staff are so friendly, and informative. The whole place has a much more informal and relaxed feel. At ludorati table charges are per 15 mins and you can often feel anxious about how much time you spend playing a game (especially if the instruction manual is long) but at dice cup the set price of £5 for 4 hours (or longer if not busy) means you can game happily without clock watching!

The range of games is huge and the colour coded system is great to give you an idea of type of game etc.

The food is amazing, all vegan but you really wouldn't know it (the cakes are light, creamy and delicious)

We really enjoyed our time here and felt almost part of the family before we left, the gaming tables are great quality and the shop stocks very reasonably priced board games (cheaper than waterstones and forbidden planet).

I'm really pleased we went in and we are already planning out next trip back. Like I said we still visit ludorati as they are both so different and offer different experiences.

Hurrah for dice cup. Oh, and next one we visit we are buying a copy of Sherlock!

User

We visited as a family and there was plenty of games to choose from. We play games a lot at home so decided to choose games we had not played before which did take time reading the instructions and did put some back because they seemed a little complex. Can see the advantage of visiting regular and trying new games. A great concept x

User

Visited The Dice Cup for the first time today just to see what games were available to buy. The staff were very friendly and offered great advice. They even took the time to have a play through of a couple of games and I came home with Splendor, a game I probably wouldn't have looked at otherwise. If you need advice about a potential purchase or fancy trying a game in a fantastic venue, I don't think you could a better place. Thanks so much, looking forward to coming back soon.

User

Travel fairly frequently from Tamworth and absolutely worth the journey. Friendly staff and a great choice of games, drinks and snacks.

User

Took a game down to playtest and David, a co-owner of the cafe, even took time out of his day to play it and even introduce me to a couple of games I had not played before. Loved every minute spent in there.

User

This place is awesome, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, huge selection of games and all the food is vegan and super tasty!

User

The Dice Cup is a great venue for gaming in a casual and relaxed environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great too; as a non-vegan I was a little unsure about this beforehand, but it was great and not and 'different' to non-vegan ingredients.

User

Really helpful, friendly and knowledgable staff to help you learn games or even play with you if you need the company. I always feel welcome here and know it is a safe place I can go to hang out with friends and meet nice people. A real asset to the game playing community in nottingham. The vegan food and drinks are a plus since I am vegetarian and lactose intolerant.

User

Lovely place, really friendly staff. I came here with no-one and played with lots of people. I now have a group of friends who I have met at this cafe and wouldn't have known otherwise. Thursday's and Sunday's are especially fun.

User

I love going the staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is really nice especially the cakes.

I have met some really nice people and made some friends. I love going to play magic and other trading cards games, the free board game night on a Thursday is good too. I would recommend to anyone who loves trading card games and board games.

User

Great place, went her with a friend yesterday and had some lunch and got to try some games we wanted to play before deciding to buy them or not.

Really friendly staff who helped us out with how to play a couple of the games. If you like Board Games this is the place for you

User

Great place! Visited for the first time last weekend and only spent a few hours there although we could easily spend all day there! Staff are really friendly and there's a little cafe and shop. We'll be back!

User

Great place for people to meet, and it's in a good central location for everyone who is travelling. Loads of awesome snacks, drinks and games to buy, and of course, wonderful staff.

User

Dice Cup is everything you could want from a board game cafe or shop. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and excellent. The food is great - easy, simple and tasty (also all vegan). Space is open, warm and clean. Toilets are gender neutral, and have baby facilities. There's plenty of games. Lots of social stuff (I like the quiz). Just go play games already.

User

Asked the shop to prep a Cthulhu game for a couple of vintage payers who've not gamed for 25 years or so, and GM Mike excelled with a well-prepared and run session for us. Pulptastic! Having a room or our own with a gaming table and computer to provide soundtrack and visual cues added to the experience.

User

Went here on a day trip to Nottingham and ended up spending most our time here. Whilst limited on food that a ceoliac can eat the pannini was still fantastic and the selection of games well made up for it. It was also great finding somewhere my vegan friend could eat at. All round a great experience and I look forward to going back.

Took a game down to playtest and David, a co-owner of the cafe, even took time out of his day to play it and even introduce me to a couple of games I had not played before. Loved every minute spent in there.

This place is awesome, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, huge selection of games and all the food is vegan and super tasty!

The Dice Cup is a great venue for gaming in a casual and relaxed environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great too; as a non-vegan I was a little unsure about this beforehand, but it was great and not and 'different' to non-vegan ingredients.

Lovely place, really friendly staff. I came here with no-one and played with lots of people. I now have a group of friends who I have met at this cafe and wouldn't have known otherwise. Thursday's and Sunday's are especially fun.

I love going the staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is really nice especially the cakes.

I have met some really nice people and made some friends. I love going to play magic and other trading cards games, the free board game night on a Thursday is good too. I would recommend to anyone who loves trading card games and board games.

Great place, went her with a friend yesterday and had some lunch and got to try some games we wanted to play before deciding to buy them or not.

Really friendly staff who helped us out with how to play a couple of the games. If you like Board Games this is the place for you
