We hadn’t pre booked a table, thankfully the waitress was very accommodating, we were very lucky I think we had the last table, which speaks for itself really. 2 steaks ordered which were cooked to perfection and was delicious!!

Saturday afternoon ... May 26th. You would expect to have to wait a little while but even though the sun was out and the place was extremely busy we were very well looked after.

Staff were attentive,. very polite, friendly and helpful.

Food was of good quality and plentiful.

Worth the prices.

I would (and have) recommend the Greyhound for a meal - with suitable play area for children to let of steam and give family members 5 minutes to let the food go down.

We came yesterday, and maybe I had too many expectations as I used to work there with former managers, but the service from the waiting on staff was not very good at all... we were just pointed to a table not shown to it, we had three young children with us and there was no children's menus we had to ask for them, then it took 15 minutes for drinks and it was a very hot day and hardly anyone was in there. Took 30 minutes for them to take our order, the waitress kept coughing over everything, didn't put her hand over her mouth or anything. When order was placed she just dumped a load of napkins and cutlery in the middle of table. Food came out and was all on wrong plates on kids meals and I had asked for a few things to be changed due to allergies which didn't happen so I had to send them back. However the food that we did get came out relatively fast and was lovely so well done to the chefs for bringing a rubbish experience up a little bit for us and we all left full and happier than we would have done if the food was bad too x

This used to be a nice place to go for food but last 3 times we have been the service and food has not been great. No one comes to ask if things are okay with your meal once served. There has been something wrong with at least one meal every time. Then waste half your meal time trying to get someone's attention. Not very impressed. Sad disappointment.

Really disappointed. Didn’t feel looked after by our server, plonked food down didn’t ask questions etc. Food was tasteless with carrots way over cooked and watery, chicken dry and bland, lettuce leaves and nothing else with or on them! Sorry but it will be a while before we visit again.

Decided to come here for a joint birthday meal for myself and my dad. Haven't been for some time but always remember it being a nice place with nice food! Sadly after waiting for what felt like an age for our drinks, it then took a while for food (understandable for delays on a Saturday night) when the food finally came out it wasn't very warm and then out of 6 meals ordered only 3 arrived. They didn't bring the others until one of our party went and enquired about their whereabouts. By the time they finally came we had finished ours and those last 3 weren't upto much either. All that was offered were 3 drinks for the people who's food was late and nothing else. The young man who had been serving us did however come and apologise for the mix up. I did feel bad for him as it was only his 3rd shift (which we had learnt earlier in the evening). If it was only his 3rd shift and he's still unsure of things, then he should have had supervision or at least shadowed someone else on such a busy night!

Unfortunately had a wait of over 1 hour for main courses which with 2 young children was a nightmare.

Seated early with no other tables around so no wait time to be expected, however has 3 tables seated around us who ordered, ate and left before we even got our food.

Food received was of standard quality however pie was not hot. Couldn't complain at the time as had waited too long just wanted to eat and get out.

Informed staff at the end of the meal simply said sorry and seemed completely uninterested. Minimum staff on duty and got plonked a pile of cutlery in the middle of the table and told that we could sort it out. Got told it was a table service but after taking our order none actually came back to the table, no plates cleared and had to go to bar to ask for children's deserts. By the time we had left, dirty plates from mains still on table. Overall, poor experience of what used to be a nice place.
