What an absolutely fantastic turn out for our coffee morning for the MS Society!! We raised a total of £523.06 on the day but with the addition of £252 from the bbq in August, the total was £775.06!!! Thank you to everyone who provided cakes, raffle prizes & donations. See you all again next year!!

We had a family meal 16 of us Saturday the 10th Feb, service and food excellent this is the second time I have been but first for the rest of my family who have come from Yorkshire and said they will definitely be back, thankyou so much for attending to all our needs very much appreciated and we will be back xx

Visited with my partner, parents, and 11 year old daughter for a family meal on 24th May 2017. We were welcomed with a smile and the service continued in a friendly and helpful manner for the duration of our visit. All 5 meals consisting of 2 steak and ale pies, tuna steak, ostrich burger, and the vegetarian tart tatin were presented beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the desserts were divine! We have tried in the past to eat there at a weekend but have never been fortunate enough to get a table. We will definitely be eating there again..... And booking early just to be sure! Highly recommended! Thank you Halfway House and all your staff for such a lovely evening!

Very nice pub all the usual beers and ciders on sale food is excellent a very good night out I would strongly recommend trying this place...Check out the menu and prices before you go it's not the cheapest but you will be hard pressed to find better food especially the steaks

Took my children and dad for tea and it was delicious. My son was very impressed at being able to cook his steak on the hot rock. Great food and friendly staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely meal here for the first time today. The main course was superb (Japanese Chicken) The white chocolate torte was absolutely lovely. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Excellant service by a lovely young man who was very friendly and polite. We shall definitely be calling in again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for a great meal yesterday, it's was my brother in laws birthday, I had kangaroo and loved it, girlfriend had sea bass was lovely and the pudding was really tasty... service was spot on staff so friendly...

Stopped off spur of the moment and were really impressed with the food. The staff were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the steak on the hot rocks. We had had this before in Cyprus and loved it so it's nice to know we can now have that here at home. Great meal, we will be back.

Really good friendly service. Food came out in good time and was left to enjoy our meal in well looked after surroundings. Food was lovely and enjoyable and novel way to have steak. Very nice way to spend our 10th wedding anniversary.

Me and my girlfriend went for date night and it was amazing, beautiful food, the experience of cooking your own food to how you like it on hot rocks, a good atmosphere the staff was brilliant from start to finish definitely going back soon.

Had my son's 21st birthday meal at Halfway House last night the staff were smashing and ensured we had a good evening with top notch service. The food was wonderful with all of our guests saying how much they enjoyed the dishes they selected.

Excellent experience and presented his birthday cake as requested (allowed me to deliver the cake earlier in the day with no problems)

Fantastic Sunday lunch with hubby this afternoon, love this place, food was fantastic and plenty of it, great value for money, staff was very accommodating and friendly and loved the selection of Gin �

Fabulous home cooked Sunday lunch that I would be proud to serve up on my on table! Great service too! This will always be a first favourite for me!

Excellent food, nice atmosphere as fairly busy, staff looked a bit flustered at times but service was good. Longest wait was for someone to sort us the bill.....normally not a problem in most places.

Only slight complaint was seemed to be a number of flies buzzing around.

Will definitely return though as food (and wine) was A1

Called in on our way home on the off chance we could get a bite to eat. Very friendly staff and we had a table within 5 mins and our Sunday diner with a further 10 mins. The food was awesome for a Sunday lunch, by far the best we've had as a family. Highly recommend this place

Been so dissapointed recently with bad menus at other places I was so excited to discover this place! Amazing food! amazing staff! Really enjoyed our time here Thank you!!

As ever the food was delicious, service was great and the staff were really helpful re advising me on suitable gluten free choices. Can highly recommend a visit here to anyone.

Can't really give it any less...

Piping hot food, filling and well presented. If you get anything less I would be most surprised. The lunch menus are very good value for money and offer a variety for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Well Done everyone. Keep it up.

This is the second time we've eaten at the there this year. After our first visit I would of given them 4/5 stars.



After our experience yesterday evening at very most 3 maybe a 2. It's a Saturday evening and they run out of some starters on the menu. My wifes fish wasn't cooked to the same standard as are previous visit and was soggy. Being honest we walked out disappointed and certainly didn't think we good the same value as our previous visit.
