We sat in the outside seating area and had pizzas, we should have booked as wanted to sit inside... But you can't blame somewhere for being so busy... That's a great sign! ... The service, food and whole experience was brilliant! 🍕😃 My mum and dad have always said good things about the place and i now know someone who worked in the kitchen and explained just how fresh all the food was and that EVERYTHING is homemade! So why wouldn't i want to give it a go! I will definitely be back... Already planning my next visit with my friend in a couple weeks! Thank you for a great Sunday afternoon!

User

This was the first time we had been to the Joiners arms and I must say I was extremely impressed with both the food and the waiting staff were very friendly and acomadating. we were even given an extra birthday dessert which was a lovely suprise for my partner too. The restaurant was clean and the natural setting of the garden room just added to the lovely evening we had.

Great job will defentily be going again if we can book (gets very busy ) recommendations to friends and family.

User

The food was amazing and good selection of drinks (including mocktails, which is great)...

Had the beef fillet big stick and it was stunning.

Very happy.

The restaurant is a bit rustic (mis-matched tables and chairs) but I think that is part of it's charm.

Would definitely recommend and go again...

User

It was our first visit here and we had decided to come to celebrate my son's birthday, and so glad we did. I had pre-booked a table for 8:45pm and we had a table in the Garden Room. Even though it was an extremely busy evening, the service from start to finish was excellent. You can see why it is so popular -'the food' is superb. I would definately recommend to go here, and we can't wait to visit again.. A special mention must go to Jess who served our table. Thankyou to all the staff.

User

Great atmosphere. The pub is very unique inside .

The wide range of food and drink is awesome. Service was spectacular and the food we had was 5 could not fault anything at all . Well done joiners arms, will definitely be back x

User

First visit tonight and what a lovely evening. All of the staff (bar one) were attentive and so lovely. The food was amazing and atmosphere really relaxed. Lovely birthday dessert and some balloons. Thank you all for your fab attitude. We will be back

User

Absolutely sensational! The food was 5*, the service was 5*, the mood and atmosphere was 5*. First time in months that a meal has filled me so much that I’ve had to take a doggy bag home! Couldn’t find a single fault, real gem of a place! Thanks all for a fantastic experience!

User

We went yesterday for a lovely meal, food was fresh and hot and we were even given a box to take our pizza away. Lovey service. Only downside is I got charged £1.50 for 4 malteasers to be added to my One paddle of ice cream - just thought it was a tad steep.

User

Visited yesterday with my daughter. Lovely gardens and we sat in the covered garden with trees and fairy lights. Very calming and quirky too. Lots of tables to choose from in the rest of the rooms. We had a light lunch of 3 mixed tapas to wet our appetite and then a battered fish bun and a pulled pork sandwich. Our only disappointment was the chips that were served with it. Very dry so we left them. Apart from that we will come back. Been using this pub off and on for 50 years. Seen many changes.

User

Went last night and must say we notice a huge difference since our last visit. Drinks and bar area First...soaking wet bar and no trays when asked. First round fine 2nd round freedom lager came in some random glass? Looked around and couldn’t see anyone else drinking it? Petty?? Nah serve it in the right glass for the price charged.

Food time

Took ages...and the homemade chips are no longer. Their from a bag that’s the only conclusion we could come to. They were awful even after we asked to change. Bit of a shame really as this place is lovely, corners being cut and lack of management in my honest opinion.

User

We thought it be lovely to sit outside in the sun, we got there and the bar staff was very rude and had a really bad attitude when she said ‘’are you being served’’ I then said no, she began to serve me and I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted she gave huffed and puffed! We then wanted to order some food! Which we she said if you sit outside it’s pizza and salads and sides only! We then found a table and saw a garden menus as we chose our order there was sandwiches in the garden menu! This was not correct was just pizza and sides only which we was told differently! I’ve never been disappointed until today! We then asked for more sauces and they never came back with any!! We saw several people leave, i normally wouldn’t be bothered but it’s was the quietest I’ve seen it!! The staff didn’t look friendly and just looked fed up! not best pleased....

User

We were really looking forward to our Mother’s Day lunch here today after being big fan of The Bulls Head, we thought we would give here a try.

The place is lovely but unfortunately we waited over an hour for food. With 2 small children this wasn’t great. There didn’t appear to be any reason as to why there was a delay with the food other than they had a lot of people in the bar area ordering food. When the food did finally arrive one of the steak sticks was over cooked. So much so it was too tough to eat. The food had taken so long to come it was pointless to ask for something else as it would of meant another wait. The sweet potato wedges were raw and cold in the middle. It was so disappointing and I really expected more after having had such a great experience at The Bulls head. Surely you realised that this weekend would be a busy one and you really should of been more prepared. We certainly won’t be recommending to anyone and won’t be returning. The bill was not cheap and felt really gutted that we had to pay £120 for such a poor quality meal.

User

We have been to the joiners arms quite a few times. Previous visits we have been fortunate and the level of service matched the high level of food.....However, our visit today (to celebrate my daughters birthday) was less than satisfactory. Our initial server was Kathryn who can’t be faulted - welcoming, proficient and lovely. Despite this we had a full hour’s wait for our food after ordering, this, I feel is unacceptable. Then, I was approached at the bar to be told that they had lost my daughter’s birthday cake and I was asked to describe it..... we had a further 15 minutes wait whilst they eventually found the cake. All in all I feel that not enough recompense was offered to apologise for the inadequate service. It is a huge shame because he food is consistently delicious - the long wait is what will deter me from going back

User

Was really disappointed with the food. Have wanted to eat at The Joiners for a long long time and decided to go last night....

On the menu, the steak jakatori?!? stick detailed that it would be served pink, it wasn’t.

My sides of halloumi fries and sweet potato fries were soggy

However the service and ice cream pudding wee fabulous!

User

Very disappointed!

Great location but thats about it. Sat in the garden this afternoon and ordered the open beef sandwhich along with a couple of pizzas. The pizzas were great, no problem there apart from being seved on dubious looking wooden boards which had obviously seen better days. but the sandwhich was just horrible. Tiny bits of chewy beef smothered in a really heavy gorgonzola sauce which after a few mouthfulls left an unpleasant taste.

The mayonaise was left to bake in the sun in a grubby condiment holder The cutlery and the glasses were greasy and the garden was strewn with napkins as no body came out to clear the tables. We bought some Venezuelan friends with us and while they were very polite about their own open sandwhiches I do feel like this afternoons experience has been a huge let down. Over rated and over priced !

User

Me and my brother organised a 40th birthday meal for last night for my sister inlaw. We waited so long for food and when my dad and nanas fish and chips came was stone cold. There was a lot of food being taken back to the kitchen as they were over booked. Will not be going again

User

Took my husband here after I told him it was great when I last went. We ordered the Camembert with bread £10 not the other option Camembert with garlic flat bread £11 ( price not the issue here)so I made it clear which I wanted when it came it was wrong so I told the waiter we had ordered the one with bread he then embarrassed me by arguing in front of everyone that they didn't do one with bread till I had to get the menu out to show him, to which he replied well we never give that to anyone?!! Eventually he then went and brought out some bread. Next came the pizzas my husband had the pizza with rocket on normally you get a good handful but this was a joke it covered the whole pizza and was at least 3 inches high it would of been a whole salad bags worth, we had to ask for a bowl to take it off and put in it to get to the pizza, my pizza turned up a lot later,a waitress this time, she apologies and said they had ripped my first one so had started again, this would of been fine but in there rush they hadn't cooked it properly the chicken was cold the whole pizza base was undercooked and pale and it was raw in the middle I ended up leaving 90% of my pizza as I didn't have time to complain and wait for another. Very disappointed

User

I keep trying this pub because their marketing pulls me back, however after a third time of bad food and less than friendly bar staff I won’t be returning.

The guy that served me behind the bar seemed pretty annoyed with me because I didn’t know the table number (which isn’t on the table but on a post near the table - duh) he was also less than helpful when I asked to take a look at a bottle of cider as the information from him was not forthcoming.

I ordered a Thai chicken and wild rice salad with coconut, lemon grass and chilli - so this in reality was some basmati rice with some chilli flakes in it and a small chicken thigh on top with a teeny weeny drizzle of something sweet on it, not coconutty or lemon grassy - nothing else at all - and a small portion. I ordered a side of coleslaw - which was so bad - £3 for a tiny dish of what was the furthest thing from coleslaw I’ve ever tasted - it looked like shredded beetroot with maybe some sliced peppers and Tomatoes in it but sadly it was so dry and the fridge had killed any life in it so it was hard to tell. Asked for a refund given I don’t like beetroot and was met with blank faces of confusion and a silent refund, no sorry or hmmm yes that’s confusing to order coleslaw and get beetroot - I thought maybe there had been a mix up in the kitchen but the bar staff and I think bar manager were saying no salads had beetroot, the restaurant manager disagreed. A bit of a beetroot mess!

Nice concept, menu sounds great, lovely pub with fab refurbishment but the food is just a mega let down. Most staff friendly and chatty but the few bar staff that give off a horrible vibe spoil this place.

User

Had my first visit was very disappointed chips over cooked and cudnt even call them chips as most of the broken into bits the fish batter was burnt What a waste of £50 as all 4 meals were the same, We cudnt even complain after as no one cleared our table we sat there for a good 20mins waiting for someone to clear our table so we ended up walking disappointed
